QATAR 2012: RACE

Someone said (in 2009): "Stoner and Lorenzo are the future of MotoGP".

That future has arrived. Rossi is the past.

Only the most stubborn haters and boppers still insist in their endless arguments about Rossi.

Yea, another long season is on tap for Hayden fans. It's pretty bad when I'm rooting for him to get 6th place 30 seconds behind the winner. I was hoping by end of this season Nicky would move over to WSBK and possibly be competitive, but as it stands right now Ducati wil be desperate to keep Nicky in MotoGP to mentor Rossi's replacement.

im no hater or a bopper and i still think rossi can beat both of them on a good day but not like in the past and not on a ducati, he likes very strict lines but the ducati doesnt and he will never ride it properly unless the front end has very little give...... he just cant hook it up

but you maybe correct, maybe the fire has burnt out and all is left is ashes ?

i will save my post just incase

The only ........ is you. Stoner has a long way to go before he will be at par with Rossi. As i said before, Stoner's talent in bike control is huge, but there are many racers on the grid who are better overall. If both Stoner and Rossi retired tomorrow, there is only one who will be remembered in say 10 years and beyond, and that is Rossi. The Stoner name in motoGP will only be remembered in the context of Rossi, as one of the guys Rossi used as a racing ....., aka gibrrnao, biaggi

Biaggi and Gravelplow, yes, were Rossi's ......., with no titles and no hope. If anything, Rossi is Stoners ..... considering their head to head record.

In the real head to head races they had, e.g. Laguna 2008, Breno 2008, Rossi won and Stoner was left to pick ducati pieces from the gravel.

From Crash.net:

Most riders who suffer with arm pump drop well off the pace by seconds and some even pull in to the pits. I guess Stoner is super human and his arm pump only cost him a couple of tenths a lap

Pull the other one, just admit you screwed up and did not use the practice to do a race distance people will think more of you as a racer.

Completely agree. Stoner excuses just as much as Rossi. Lorenzo and Pedro are by far the most honest top riders on the grid.

WOW.

Folks we have found the definition.

Rossi Bopper - see "Evolution"

A "Rossi bopper" is an immature fan, easily manipulated by Rossi culture. Often critisized because of their inability to think for themselves,"Rossi boppers" also have a bad reputation for denial, bashing at others when confronted with the idea that their hero is not god. Their self inflicted drama (which is often orchestrated through whispers, text messaging, gossip and internet forums) can safely be regarded as gospel amongst the initiated. Generally speaking, they base everything in all aspects of their lives, on defending their hero and are refered to by mature adults as "shallow". This will never go away in society, the only cure is for them to take remedial education and read only material by David Emmett.

You guys did not hear Rossi after the race, interviewed by Italia1 TV. He said the bike has not been developed according to his indications at all, and threw the entire responsibility on Preziosi (without mentioning him), saying they have solved only a small part of the problems he has been pointing out since Valencia 2010. The tone was cold and deliberate, with no attempt at diplomacy.

Today all Italian newspapers speak of the inevitable divorce between Rossi and Ducati.

To me, this kind of talk is like a Biaggi deja vu and I do not like it at all. Whatever the bike, Valentino Rossi being beaten by Abrahams and Barbera on satellite bikes, in a real race, is an absurdity. But it happened, so, the only conclusion is that Rossi is no more the rider he used to be. He should have retired before coming to this point. Decline is inevitable and acceptable; this kind of denial and blame throwing is much less acceptable.

Perfect.

Biaggi and Sete are Rossi's ............and his ever best competition back then.

So, did he get some easy WC's or didn't he?

Hmm, going in to there 7th season against each other and they competed against each other twice. They are all head to head if the riders have the skill to make it that. Maybe Stoner should have waited on Rossi in his 33 wins so he could have a contrived legacy too. Bottom line jacko, Stoner has owned Rossi since he came into the sport. Think of how bad your nightmare would have been if he hadnt rode the Ducati for 4 years and had been on equal machinery. By the way Catalunya 07, Qatar 07, Shanghai 07, races that Stoner and Rossi went head to head and Stoner came out victorious in the last laps. Remember those.

Would it be at all possible for this thread to not end up like countless others?

Jorge won, Casey probably should have won but arm pump stopped him (i've had arm pump riding down world cup DH tracks on my pushbike, they last 5mins tops so i cant imagine what arm pump for half an hour feels like!), Rossi's marriage with the red machine will end in a brutal divorce. Thats it, quit going on about who's better as its been done to death.

Shut up you goon, this has been done to death in various other threads already

What ever, then don't bring those two up if you don't want .... flung towards rossi's career.

Called them .......? pay for it.

Stupid boppers.

Does Prezioso ever get criticism there? They will run out of riders before they find the next Stoner and even then it was only one championship before the Japanese caught them. The problem is the Ducati and the people behind it, not the riders. They can't build a good GP bike and they will continue to expose themselves, especially when they won't be able to land a top rider.
