QATAR 2012: RACE

Haha, thanks mate
<

Good job though JLO..Casey should give credit to Jorje & Danny but blamed himself for not winning -common on CStoney..

That waas a bad racing planning by Casey . He should have stick like a dog behind JLO and Pedrobot and wait till the few last kaps..His racing strategy was totally wrong at the first place and no doubt he is the fastest guy in town - he should have slipstreamed behind Lorenzo for most of the time like Pedrosa did, then attacked with a couple of laps to go. He would have conserved his bloody rear tyre and his fitness better.

Still the result clearly shows, Stoner was the fastest by a mile (his bike not him) . Too bad his boiler ran out of steam 5 laps too early to win this Qatar race.

Looking forward to Jerez. If Honda sorts out the chatter a little bit more, we'll see another good race.

I think the race showed that Lorenzo is the number one racer today. Stoner has ultimate talent in bike control, but Lorenzo seems to be a better overall racer.

It's funny how Hayden says that the bike is much improved from last year yet he was still 30 seconds off the lead; that's hardly an improvement.

BTW Marquez is a very dangerous rider, if he doesn't settle down and learn how to compete with out endangering everyone on track someone will really get hurt.......worse than Rattapark.

Lorenzo was definitely the best racer yesterday. They have 18 races to see who is the best racer of the year though.

I thought it would help, that's what they said on TV anyways.

Better get surgery done and .... it all.

I might be wrong as this is not my field of expertise. Basically though arm pump is a compartment syndrome where with exertion/muscle use the blood flow increases to the muscles in the forearm compartment making them swell and there is not enough room in the limited space confined by the fascia defining the compartment limiting further blood supply, so the muscles become ischaemic. I don't see how gym work which if anything would increase the muscle bulk would help.

Stoner's race had all the signs of tire troubles, imo. After building a 2 second lead at the front, his pace dropped rather spectacularly in the last few laps. The rear tire started spinning at the exit of every corner.

However, I think fuel could be a possibility as well. Fuel programming can also cause a rapid increase in lap times (Dani Pedrosa at Laguna in 2009) and Dani Pedrosa once said that Honda fuel computer turns off the traction control capabilities if fuel is a problem. The catch is that Neil Spalding said that Yamaha and Honda have vastly improved their traction control systems over the last few years. The engines no longer cut spark (waste fuel); instead, they have tuned the engines and electronics to the engines don't make too much torque/horsepower in the first place. If TC doesn't waste fuel, maybe it doesn't have to be turned off. Apparently, Ducati do not have as good a system, which could be contributing to their lack of pace. Also makes me wonder about the continuity of desmo, and how its variability compares to pneumatic systems. Maybe someone can kick this theory farther down the road.

Arm pump could be down to the extra 7kg? Honda weren't planning to run 157kg for 2012, and perhaps they've stashed the ballast in a compromised place?

I believe post race he intimated that fighting the chatter which got worse as the race wore on - exaserbated it. It appears that Stoner's PR people have really been listening to all the complaining about his complaining and have schooled him on being more up-beat in interviews - if for no other reason than superior marketability, a factor no doubt when it comes to attracting sponsors. Either that, or he's just plain happier these days.

Stoner was expected to win but didnt. Not sure why keshav is so upset...oh wait...

I pretty much knew Lorenzo would win. Not upset. Grow up sonny. Save the juvenile insults for

someone who cares. And ask yourself, why is it that you bring nothing to this forum

except for negative remarks and insults. Must suck to be one of the faithful, waiting

around for the resurrection of Rossi. Well Easter has passed and he hasn't risen from

the grave of obscurity and mediocre results. It's going to be another loonnnng season

for the Boppers.

Anyone noticed that the bopper sooking about Casey has hit fever pitch!!??

Its not going to help Rossi one bit you ......s. All it does is feed your own personal fairytale perception of how good Rossi is.

Unfortunately Stoner is the guy who usurped Rossi so he is the target of your whinging and moaning.

If you pricks had been less idiotic when Stoner left Ducati, ie. quit the blind view of Ducati at that time ( that it was some dream bike that anybody could ride ), you may well have applied enough fan pressure to Rossi so the he may not have left Yamaha.

But ....... as can be seen in this topic ...... you just can't help being ..........
<

And to make matters worse Rossi himself is bleating/sooking/moaning about a company that was stupid enough to pay him more than the pther companies wanted to pay for better riders than him. Other reputable companies refused to pay as much for Rossi as they did for Stoner or Lorenzo ....... anybody with half a brain would have then known how bad the Duc. is from that fact alone ...... but no ..... not Rossi ........he is a victim of his own hype.
<

And you Boppers have helped dig the grave.

I love how you are cold enough to analize their stupidity with out raging like i do.

The only ........ is you. Stoner has a long way to go before he will be at par with Rossi. As i said before, Stoner's talent in bike control is huge, but there are many racers on the grid who are better overall. If both Stoner and Rossi retired tomorrow, there is only one who will be remembered in say 10 years and beyond, and that is Rossi. The Stoner name in motoGP will only be remembered in the context of Rossi, as one of the guys Rossi used as a racing ....., aka gibrrnao, biaggi
