Yes, there can be many reasons. We do not even now the gear and final transmission ratios used by the two Yamahas...
The Iannone's Ducati pulled on BOTH Marc's RCV and Rossi's M1. Marc went on to win the race, why is it that by extension the argument is being made that Rossi suffered some deficiency of machines? Iannone didn't beat Lorenzo. So the argument by extension is that Lorenzo's bike was superior to Rossi's? And I'm the conspiracy theorist? Haha damn.

Ran across this while checking out member profiles…

Shocking.
:p

I guess you're right. Marquez has no interest in whether or not his biggest rival for the next dedade wins another championship.

Was this what we were debating? Because I thought we were talking about whether Marc had been engaging in mind-games during the PI race in a scheme to destroy Lorenzo's confidence by helping Rossi. Would you like to talk about that still?

I had to register because of this.
Jesus christ, bad luck for Rossi this season?! Really?! He was and he still is lucky as hell. No retirement this season. Except two races every time on the podium.
Lots of bad luck for Lorenzo!:
1) In 2 races he had problems with helmet
2) Too many rain races
3) One retirement
4) In last two races he was leading but didn't manage to win
5) He had slow start to first three races of the season
And I forget-how about Rossi's cheated wins in Argentina and especially Assen? He should be DSQ for Assen but FIM and Dorna has worries that yellow army will kill them.

I suggest you head back to where you came from then with rubbish like this! Crash net perhaps? How the .... do ascertain that having rain at a race is bad luck? Cheated wins? A slow start to the season-Bad luck? Are you an imbecile?

The line in my post was sarcastic (aided with an emoticon wink for the really slow amongst us) but the haters are gonna hate no matter what! The yellow horde is what it is, but the haters are actually more stupid and vile in my opinion. Particularly after all of their rubbish continues to get dis-proven year after year yet they continue to dig at all new levels of idiocy to prop up there arguments-like the ........ above.

I was being sarcastic having a go at Lorenzos post-Motegi 'Bad luck' routine, and funnily enough he was shouting from the rooftops and pissed at Ianonne for following him in qualifying, yet Ianonne was his best friend on Sunday-go figure. These are the reasons why people don't necessarily take to characters like Lorenzo and Stoner-because they are not gracious in defeat-or victory.

Talps my "friend" (not sure I can call u that...wink wink), go easy on the new guys. Stick to the debate, let them call you delusional before u go knee deep yo.

Homie, VR is gonna win this title, why ya mad bro?

Rossi isn't going to win the championship. As much as I had to say it, Jorge will. He's too fast, or rather Vale is too slow.

Both sentiments are one in the same.
Did Marquez drop back from 1st to help Rossi? Hell no. When he did drop back into second though, it is alleged that he motioned for Rossi to work with him. I didn't see it. But I have no problem believing it. In NASCAR the spotters are in constant radio contact with the drivers and arrange this situation on a regular basis. Would Marquez do it to help himself get to the front or to help Rossi to the front? I would say primarily to help himself get the win, but with helping Rossi in the standings as an added benefit. If the situation were reversed and it was Rossi in front and Lorenzo behind Marquez, I 100% think Marquez would STILL go for the win, but would not attempt to engage Lorenzo to help push him there. I also think that if Marquez if out front late in one of the last two races with faltering tires and has a faster Rossi or Lorenzo behind him with an inevitable pass, he'd give up the spot a hell of a lot easier to Rossi than he would to Lorenzo. That's the type of gray shades of help I'm speaking of. Marc's primary focus will always be himself and the win. 100%. But if he can assist Rossi along the way, he takes the benefit and profits from it because it maintains Lorenzo's current state of mind as "frustrated" rather than "confident."
And for the record, I want Rossi to win this title as much as I've ever wanted any racer to win anything as a fan. But I think Jorge pulls it out. If Rossi loses, he lost the title in his failure to take this spot from Iannone and his failure to outlast Pedrosa for one spot recently.

Well, there are two rounds left. I agree that Lorenzo is faster, VR is slower, but Rossi has an 11 point lead with very few points on offer. The scenarios to me favor Rossi overwhelmingly. First Lorenzo has to overcome the deficit, with only two rounds left that's unlikely given that VR runs well at both the last two venues. Second, Marc is on form and if he wins the next two races, a good likelihood, this reduces the points on offer for Lorenzo to take advantage of, only 4 if Jlo finishes 2nd with VR in a likely 3rd. Third, whenever something can go wrong or luck is involved (luck suddenly a bad word but was in fashion for Rossi fans in 06) the pattern has been favor falls for Rossi. Lorenzo has an uphill battle, while Lorenzo has to first undue a deficit then hope he wins against Marc (unlikely ) while having another rider between him and Rossi (unlikely ). If I were you, I'd go buy the champagne. Cue the Yellow smoke.

So you're ruling out any chance that Lorenzo's bike was simply sorted out better or that Lorenzo simple rode a better race than Iannone? You're starting to veer into "The bike rides itself" territory.

This exact scenario of faltering tires while leading and faced with the prospect of yielding the position to Rossi occurred at Argentina. I miss interpreted Marc torpeding Rossi's back wheel as him letting Rossi through.

A similar scenario happened at Assen, except it was Marc catching up to Rossi, I miss interpreted Marc torpeding Rossi as letting him through.

Oh I'm sure you'll say this was when Rossi was not yet in contention for the title. But according to the premise of your assertion is that Marc is thinking about the future....much into the future, so these apply.

Ah, I see now why Marc was battling with Rossi so hard at Phillip Island while simultaneously trying to help him. I guess I misinterpreted that exchange. Maybe Marc should tweet Rossi, yo, let me by at Sepang and Valencia, I'm trying to help you.

You've been having a right laugh with that haven't you. Roger sent me this from a vid he recorded off the TV. I was busting up at how Hodgy tried to deflect the fantastic comeback by Jackie. Uhm, .......uhm, hey audience sorry for the profanity. ........ What would have been awesome is if Miller had looked into the camera and said, sorry audience but don't listen to this ......, I'm the guy on the MotoGP grid not this guy. (Disclaimer, I like Neil, but what a ....... question to ask a guy on the grid.)

Btw, is "......" really not allowed on TV? It seems a rather soft word. Then again I don't really know since it's more a Brit thing. I remember when I told you I was laughing because they said "scouser" on TV. Then u said, well that's not that bad.

I'll assume that at this point, especially given your post count, you're arguing for the sake of arguing. Because you can't possibly be this stupid.
