Hahaha, Yamfan, the rules do NOT apply to Rossi. That ........ penalty on Zarco reaffirmed that rules are only for everyone EXCEPT The ONE.
Zarco was given a ride through, but because it was too late in the race, they assessed a 30 sec penalty was equal to a ride through, resulting in zero points scored for Zarco. Nice way of tightening up the championship. This was for a RACING INCIDENT, not a deliberate malicious maneuver to eliminate a fellow competitor. Lowes said, if I didn't score any points, neither should Zarco. Except, Zarco's move was not malicious nor intended to eliminate Lowes. Race Direction said to defend their decision not to issue a ride through to Rossi at Sepang (defended by our fearless media) that they had to consider the fact Rossi was a points leader "the impact on the championship"). Rossi was not only issued no points penalty for that race, but was allowed to KEEP his 16 points! What do you think of that Mr. Lowes? Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Zarco the points leader? Uhm, no such consideration for Zarco? Hey, make him start from the back at Misano, give him his points back for Silverstone, right? Wasn't that the precedent Race Direction set? The double standard applied should be front page scandal. Our fearless GP media should be asking the riders in the press conference their thoughts on such a glaring double standard being applied. They should be calling Race Direction on the carpet. But as usual, they're chickenshit.
RULES DON'T APPLY TO ROSSI.
If you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks.
Zarco should have been disqualified from the results, Lowes was on for a podium finish and Zarco took him out. Sams brother Alex received a DQ for taking down Shane Byrne in BSB a few years back.
