Thanks :) For some reason I thought if they declared it flag to flag, they had to change bikes and it wasnt an option not too

I did forget to mention that in a flag to flag, should the rider pit they MUST leave on a bike that has different tyres to the bike on which they entered the pits.

Apologies as I forgot that part and it is actually a critical part of the rule.

Yes as far as I know it is only an option but generally when called most will pit with some exceptions where it is called late in the race as sometimes battling out in the wet on slicks will mean win or bin.

There is however no reverse as if a race is declared wet then the rider is always allowed to pit to change tyres/bikes etc for a drying track (flag to flag essentially came about to try to stop or minimise the red flag scenario because of light rain)

MM using carbon fiber brakes instead of steel. That is some gamble. Maybe they are easier on his tummy.

Congrats Dovi, a well deserved and well ridden race.

Now a few vids.

Also big credit to to MM as well to get back to 11th after his moment.

Another congrats to Lorenzo, hopefully some of the naysayers may quieten their voices a little although I doubt it, keep plodding along as you finished and a few didn't due to pushing to hard.

Rossi, rode a typical Rossi race (of late) but it did seem as commented on that perhaps he was experiencing brake fade, and so he then did that which he should and manage the gap to third.

Good job to Hector as well, winning the team mate battle

Lorenzo would be stoked, he was having a hard time in 6th and ended up on the podium without having to pass anybody. I'll take that he says!

Brake fade to go with his 2015 brain fade. Wonder what 2017 will bring.

Nice one Dovi.

Had to laugh at the tortoise Lorenzo ending up on the podium.

Rossi lost grip in the front. He said so. It looks like that happened to other fast guys. The Michelin wets are better, but maybe it got too dry for the fronts to handle the heavier braking.

Interesting, since somebody signed for Ducati this year they've started winning again...

A handshake and toasting bottles, what is wrong with Valentino?

And .... all the announcers. No one on the podium was "lucky." They all have the skill to stay on the bike in changing conditions where others made mistakes. I think I'm going to watch Valencia sans commentary.

Congrats to dovi. Mr. Nice Guy in the motogp paddock. Have come a long way in this season, after the unfortunate crashes in Arg and US GP.

Happy for lorenzo's podium finish. More importantly, Yamaha have now taken a giant stride in the manufacturer and team standings. Will be an interesting race in Valencia, as the last two crowns are still up for the grabs :)

Was Marc the only guy running the carbon brakes today? Pretty ballsy move i thought, the weather could have quite easily gotten worse for him.

He may just ask Jamie Whincup for ideas

Someone else ran them, but I can't remember who they said it was. It's mentioned in the second grid-up or second rain delay.

Very happy for Dovi, now they will stop hurrasing him. He was under pressure to be the 9th.
So Yamaha, Honda and Ducati have wins with both riders. If A. Espargaro wins in Cheste, Suzuki will join:)
Cal also took it to the next level. From hero to zero (twice in one race just to be sure). Also shame for Marquez and Iannone. Lorenzo got a great result and he wasn't even fighting, just cruising was enough. Viñales was a dissapointment

And just a quick mention...#2arco!
That was class. He knew what he had to do. And sync'd backflip was a nice touch. Also nice to see Binder congratulating and wearing the shirt. After all they are sort of teammates. Zarco was testing his bike this year.
