Cop gets shot in the line of duty, almost dies and retires on disability. Media plays up the story and digs into his backround. They find he was cited multiple times for being overly aggressive with his gun.
Years later he's outside an ice cream shop in an area that has low crime. He gets into an arguement with a homeless guy. Homeless guy waves a cane and steps to him. Ex trigger happy cop blasts him in front of families and children.
No charges filed. He was standing his ground. Yee ....... Haw. Wild wild west

Wait a minute, was that homeless .... trying to steal an ice cream?

There was one significant word in your story, and that's the only reason why it ends this way, little to do with laws on the books imo. You think if I did what the above guy did I wouldn't have been charged?

If you live in a glass house, don't throw rocks.

Rain arriving for qualifying - around two in the afternoon. Tomorrow, mostly dry but possibility of showers during the main race tomorrow.

It's Britain - we talk about the weather.

Better than the gun politics screwing up the race talk, that is for SURE.

I just watched 2011 Silverstone. Soaking wet it was. Stoner, Dovizioso, Edwards. Marco, Jorge, Ben out. Hayden beats Rossi on the Ducs. So Nick concludes that the Duc must stink. rofl

I see the ....... spam has been sorted then, what the .... is going on here?,i've never seen so much .... when i log on,even Jesus is getting on here these days.

You just missed stage 1 of the quali race. It was one mediocre rider leading then another but in the end the ugliest rider moved on to stage 2.

Well well well, A win at Brno and now pole in Silverstone. You Cal haters must be well....hating!

Damn good ride by Laverty too, shame he lost it on his 'Pole' lap. That makes him the highest Ducati on the grid too, of course Povol still thinks he is undeserving of a GP ride ;)

Cal's dry pace was good too, back to back wins a real possibility , fingers crossed. What's the words to that Taylor Swift song again ?

Rain and riders with nothing to lose go hand and hand. If every race was wet, you would see the same riders at the front as you do in the dry

Cal really messed-up the crash thread by getting pole. He sounded like a normal MotoGP guy, today. The track must have been "drying" when Dani found some pace. Cal talked about a new chassis. I wonder if Dani is on the same. Wet or dry or both, the grid should make the race interesting. I usually root for the homies, so I am happy for the home town fans, even though Cal lives somewhere else. ;-)

Go back and look at the winners of wet and mixed condition races the last 10 years. Its probably 90% the same guys who won the dry races the last 10 years After you do that, go have a drink, you have been a little testy lately.
