Oh, I agree! Lewis SHamilton did the same in 2016 too at the final round.

It I were the team boss, I'd reprimand them big time, but it seems that money talks.
Newly crowned champion Max Verstappen refused a Red Bull team order to assist his teammate Sergio Perez in the battle for second place in the title race1. This decision by Verstappen had significant implications for Perez’s championship standing.

In the 2022 Formula 1 season, Sergio Perez missed out on securing second place in the championship by a mere 3 points2. Had Verstappen complied with the team order and supported Perez, the Mexican driver would have gained additional points, potentially altering the final standings2.

I hope someday karma bites Max in the as because he is a total ....(american).

Especially considering how Perez helped Max in Abu Dhabi 2021 by blocking Lewis for as long as he could. Even though Lewis still got screwed by race direction in the end, Perez followed orders to help Max.

Max is terrible. He makes Rossi look like a saint to me.

Vudu I will say I enjoy your opinion of Rossi because you always have a good and valid take. I don't always agree with it but I always think you make good rational points.

If their not on the same tire than whats the point of the wall? Whats the benefit?
I remember rumors that Rossi had access to Jorge's and Jorge didn't have access to his, I also remember Rossi being off the pace saturday for a few races and then on race day finding an extra half a second like he did in Laguna and a few other he chased Stoner down at.

Thats the way I remember it too. I will say I had totally forgot they were on different rubber.

Can I get on the Verstappen is a .... train too? Vile person, can't stand him.

I mean, you only have to look at his parents to explain how he is.

Thank you MB. Hablas Espanol, pero en poco. Therefore I got some words but not enough to fully translate and as you said, some words are direct translations which isn't how native speakers interact. It's the same with with Welsh (my native language), I remember watching an episode of 'The Crown' where Prince Charles is speaking Welsh and with English subtitles underneath and I told my wife "that's not exactly what he said'. Welsh is an interesting language, heavy in constenants, fast spoken and often backwards. For example, "Red House" is "Ty Coch"...Ty (pronounced Tee) being House, and Coch being red. So in Welsh you effectively say "House red"

Yep, I remember Jumkie posting to the effect that Rossi said "No no no, Iannone and I are good, it's MARQUEZ who you need to go after"

I wholeheartedly agree.

I think I read somewhere that a psychologist studied Rossi during that press conference and commented that he had the appearance, mannerisms and body language of someone who was mentally drained and had not slept much since the PI race.

You know, I was thinking about this and MDub's response mentioning Adolf Hitler. I have some interests that include History, and part of that is discussions that come up about the Titanic and Adolf Hitler regularly. Does that mean they live rent free in my head? No, not at all, but they are monumantal moments in history. Rossi has undoubtedly changed the history of MotoGP much like the sinking of the Titanic or WW2 changed world history. He is part of the sport but like Keshav says, rarely is he brought up except in response to people like yourself and Nick Nac who DO bring him up.

I never read about that, but it;s interesting. As Melandri said "Valentino is your friend until you beat him"

Also, remember how he approached Dani after Aragon 2015 and asked why he raced him so hard?

He is another example of a great who stuck around for too long.

I felt that after reading his biography, that was in the late 2000's and I started cooling to him after that.
The psychologist was actually a relatively new poster on here, a woman iirc, who made the observation Valentino at the Sepang press conference looked like he had spent several sleepless nights ruminating about MM at PI. Sounded reasonable to me, although remote psychology or psychiatry via the internet iare not exactly recognised disciplines. She was howled down and never posted again, she seemed to be posting without malice and just giving her view of things. The post may be somewhere on this very thread come to think of it.

Motorcycle racers through out time have employed anything they can find to 'get an edge' over there competitors. Carl Fogarty had to 'hate' his rivals. For me I like relaxed and smooth to get the speed.
An interview with JL.

Gracias por la lección de español, de hecho tienes razón. g traducir es lo peor. Pensé que la referencia a la paella iba demasiado lejos.

What is your point with this? What are you trying to prove? You have stated you don't like so I am trying to understand your reason for posting a video about his depression.

What is this? He said he felt a little depressed about the thought of retirement. Dude your posts are total trash. Its at the 3 minute mark if anyone wants to hear it.

A little depressed about the thought of retirement? You mean like 98.375% of all star athletes (motor sports included)?
Exactly, and given that he decided to retire while in the gravel trap at Assen with a neck injury that could have paralysed him after the Honda spat him off for the second time in less that a week, it's understandable he was depressed.

Retiring from riding that thing which had repeatedly tried to kill him was actually a rather sane thing for a bike racer to do. I don’t know how he is these days, it was his body more than his spirit which was broken at the time he retired due to crashes like the one you describe .

Even Mick Doohan, hardly a mentally frail bloke, had to retire eventually after another injury. I am told he is pretty good these days after surgery in his retirement. and basically walks without a limp.

Unfortunately for our new friend this brings us back to MM who is tough to a degree beyond all rationality, and hence perhaps not the best target for “mind games”.

I follow him on social media and he seems very happy. He travels a lot. He goes to Dubai often. He does a few car races a year as well. In the case of the video frodo posted, he talks of his thought of retiring depressing before getting the offer from honda. He said it was either he retire or ride a satellite yamaha then he won on the Ducati and Honda offered him a spot.

Nick you have yet to reply with a proper post to anyone rebutting anything you have said. You are official just another troll. You are Golem and not Frodo. Confirmed.

Whats the difference between Nick Nac and a stopped clock?
A stopped clock is right twice a day.
