Take the impression you have of the corkscrew and multiply it by three, it's that gnarly.

You are in a freaking good location. I have a few tracks (only one decent one) within 3 or 4 hours of me. And I have to drive through TO (Toronto) to get there which is just a GIGANTIC pain in the .... You can get through in 1/2 hr. or 5 hours depending on the crashes. Last weekend a transport spun sideways, flipped upside down and spew the entire cargo across every eastbound lane. That was the 5 hour kind of trip and luckily I was ahead of that .... but only by 1/2 hour.

If I win the big one I'm starting a company and building a track around here. All I need is the right 6 numbers.......!

Ever seen the drop off Mount Panorama (otherwise known as Bathurst) in Australia (home of the annual V8 race)?

They did used to race bikes around the circuit which is a public road but crowd behaviour (read - riots) and the toll taken on the riders (fatalities) curbed it. Here is a taste though from 1981 (the drop off the mountain starts around 1:05). The commentary s from the rider (Dennis Neal) in realtime.

Things didn't go so well in the race for Dennis Neal though.

If you don't understand this concept, you should seriously take up basket weaving. Guys at this level should be able to take the punches, not sissy foot around and complain. Christ if Rossi had thrown a hamburger at him or kicked him during the race I could see belly aching, but don't defend a guy that was being a ..... because he had to fight for a race win. Then you basicaly have to replace the whole lot with some reprogrammed Pedrobots. Everybody complain, it is how it is. We can allways discuss the validity of the complaint but who cares, they all complain.

Raced where and when? You mean you did a few track days, got Schwantz's autograph, got your novice license and then parked your shiny new bike in the garage before it could get any scratches?
<
And you think that buys you the right to call yourself a "racer"?

Serious racers don't spout the kind of ........ that I hear in your posts. Completely immature frat boy ........ posturing if I ever heard any, and you lays it on thick boy. You stopped racing as a matter of "self preservation" and have the balls to call Stoner a .....? Give it a rest.

If anyone is spouting and trolling a forum looking for arguments instead of discussion, its you ...... Go race your Honda 50 in your backyard some more. You're just as much an armchair racer as anyone else, so go buff your little league trophies and have your mom cut the crusts off your peanut butter sandwiches. I'd love to hear what an AMA hero you are to talk to anyone that way.

Thanks for the video Gary - it'd be interesting to compare how the drop off the mountain and the corkscrew compare. The video coming down the mountain really has corkscrew qualites to it. I'd love to see modern sportsbikes race Bathurst again, although it'll ever happen.
BTW, I wonder if that's Robbie Phillis they're talking about in the second video?

who are you to speak about taking punches? you weren't even willing to get in the ring with us. it's like an old saying some of us had in the military: if you haven't served, you have no opinion. you have NO idea what we go through.

are you reading what you type? seriously? you start telling ppl to stfu, call them a ....., start spewing off .... about pb&j's and their mom's; and all from the compfort of your home. whatever heshav raced. whether it be 50cc scooters or 1000cc superbikes, i'd say it gives him more of an insight to racing then you'll ever have. i think you need to chill out, and act more your age. it's you that is provoking an arguement. keshav is only stating his opinions. grow up and back your opinions up without telling ppl to stfu.
