Quite interesting article, what impressed me to most with the GP24 is the way it manages the corner entry and it seems f*cking well balanced.
Also like the paragraph about Fabio's good pace before he went down... His choice has been done, and now I really hope Yamaha to improve to see this guy in front.

Mladin’s breakdown of the technical parts of cornering and releasing the front brake I found fascinating. He writes very well and is able to communicate what the riders are doing to mere mortals such as myself. Cool stuff.

I would keep Maverick on right now but Aleix I think has had his day. Hell of a run in GP but they need to get some other talent next to Vinales.
I've called for them to replace both riders, but it makes sense to keep one for continuity and I totally agree that rider should be Vinales. Aliex is currently just taking up a top bike sadly.
I don't give two ..... what he has to say or more so what Rossi told him to say. He's a ..... Future wsbk runner up.
I agree.

Wishing a rider who had a serious injury had never returned to the sport after said injury is absolutely inexcusable in my book. I try and respect every MotoGP rider but will never give that guy the time of day again. Actually, I'll go as far as saying I'm actually enjoying his current predicament in a karmic way.

I'd never wish harm or the end of any riders career no matter how I feel about a rider. This guy is a ..... I hope his time in the motogp paddock is short.

I just cheer every time Marc puts a move on him.

Bezzecchi's reputed comments were horrible and just was additional proof Rossi can't let go of lying about 2015.

The best punishment is just to watch MM overtake him on track cleanly. He's too stupid to figure out he isn't as fast as MM unless he happens to have his day. After watching Martin, Pecco, and Marc so far this season, it's going to a tall order for him to keep up with that kind of a leading group. Couldn't happen to a better guy if you ask me. .... him.

To be fair he didn’t wish injury on MM, but he is hardly unknown for crashing out from pushing things too far himself, so glass houses etc.

I try to view Pecco's accomplishments objectively because I don't think he resonates with fans emotionally. Also, after a quarter century of following the sport, I've realized that context is best applied to a rider's career near its conclusion. Pecco has been the best rider for the last 2 seasons, and he delivered the first rider's world title to Ducati in 15 years. These are significant accomplishments, and I resist the attempts by some fans (perhaps subconsciously) to discredit or lessen his record because he's boring, particularly as he comes into conflict with Marc.

I think most of us would agree that some riders are more equal than others, and Marc Marquez is one of the riders who enjoys elevated status among fans, organizers, and race stewards (most of which he has earned). Marc's incursion into Pecco's territory, and the ease with which Marc has seemingly turned Ducati's management, gives me some empathy for Pecco's situation. Interference from a hegemon tends to reduce a rider's accomplishments on paper. Stoner dealt with the same situation, as did Lorenzo. The amount of interference Marc imposes on Pecco's reign with Ducati should affect they way his career is viewed historically.

Casey is still occasionally referred to as Casey Moaner. Why? Obviously because Rossi only complained when people actually deserved it 😇. Lorenzo won 3 titles by defeating Rossi, Stoner, and Marquez, yet he's known as the fat guy who occasionally appears on Spanish TV. Why? Because even though he won 3 titles with Yamaha, Rossi is the real brand ambassador and true Yamaha champion. Juvenile tribalism does not help the business of marketing the sport, and it might be in Marc's best interest to avoid direct conflict with Pecco unless it's on track.

The block pass at Le Mans was class. Pecco's discretion was also classy compared to his riding at Portimao. Hopefully, Marc will not resort to taking Pecco's toys and building a wall in the garage.
I agree with your point about hegemons (apt word btw) and motogp history over the last 25 years certainly backs up your point. Nicky Hayden copped diminishment of his achievement in winning the 2006 title as well, and there was a degree of attitude against Max Biaggi more than 25 years ago when he competed with Mick Doohan as well as later when he competed with Rossi. I can’t really recall much in the decade before Mick’s ascendancy though, when there were several great riders around none of whom achieved hegemony, with tragedy cutting Wayne Rainey’s career short of course. Not much in the way of social media back then however.

Well he wished the injury was worse so Marc didn't come back from it. To me that's pretty much the same thing. Thats over the line to say about a fellow racer or as a fan.

Didn’t it turn out that quote was ........?

If Martin signs with another manufacturer I wouldn't be surprised to see his bike start to have mechanical issues every now and then.
I like how you are easily the biggest conspiracy theorist on the forum. Respect though. No harm intended with this comment.
