2024 Round 19 - PT Grand Prix of Thailand - Chang International Circuit

I wouldn’t worry too much about it tbh, given how easy it is to cause offence in that part of the world without even knowing it.
I also found it a bit rich that one of the people who made the most noise about it is also someone who has a silly nickname for quite a few riders…

I have a nickname for you too. It starts with a c and rhymes with bunt. But thats a term of endearment in the UK & Australia so feel honored.

This revelation from Martin about "Bagnaia is always copying my setup" makes sense. This explains why Martin tends to win sprint races and why next day Bagnaia becomes competitive in main race. Explains why Bagnaia is relatively slow on Fridays, in his own. A week ago I noticed someone from Pramac suggested starting sandbagging on Fridays to delay Bagnaia setup catch-up even further.
Not a good outlook for Bagnaia. Next year Martin will be gone and copying Marc's setup won't suit him at all, I'm sure of that.

I've just seen Moto3 Q2. That was absolutely hilarious. Leaving the pits at a time when they would need record pace to make it around to start their hot lap :D

Anyone catch Peccer head complaining about Martin touching the green 4 times during the race? The yellow army is hot on the internet saying the spanish always get away with that .... instead of using their eyes. Something DuItalian cannot due as well. Must have had double vision from a late night in Bangkok.

Definitely interesting comments from Martin and it would make sense.
I agree that it is doubtful Marcs setup would help him at all but we just don’t know yet.

To be fair the last time he touched the green looked like he should have got a penalty.
But if that’s what you a relying on to win a world championship you don’t deserve it.

They say its a sensor thing but sometimes I find that hard to believe. I thought for sure Martin would screw up and touch green after the 2nd time. Is there any screen shots of a 3rd touch?

Remember how people trying to follow Stoner told "I can see what he is doing but I have no clue how he is doing it"? Remember the reason Marc crashed at COTA was the brake of GP23 wasn't "compatible" with the way Marc is braking? These riders are wizards, a mere mortal like Bagnaia can't imitate them.
Well, that's what I think. As you said, we will see.

After he had already had the warning.
Looks like he is off the kerb to me but with the bike leaning the way it is, his body positioning the actual weight of the bike could be sitting on the edge of the kerb.

Look, I never intended to be offensive toward anyone. I only knew that word in a humorous and ironic context, I was not aware that it was perceived by anyone to be offensive.

And of course American fans who are knowledgeable about MotoGP are aware what the #1 means and that, should Jörg in fact be carrying next year, it wasn't the result of a title won on an Aprilia.
Someone who watches their first race and has only seen NASCAR before might not though.

I've been a member of this forum for almost a year and a half now, I always felt welcomed here, I enjoy the discussions on this site and I have zero reason or intention to cause conflict.

Since you've only been on the forum for a year and a half, you can't possibly understand the endless sh*tposting, trolling and nationalistic word wars that happened regularly in the old days--way before this forum was allowed to use the name motogp in its url. Those of us with old accounts almost can't be offended, and even if we take offense, it's probably just for a little shadow boxing to keep our reflexes sharp, and make sure we still got it.

Back in the good old days we Americans might have been called seppos a time or two. Using the term Murican is practically the queen's English. No one on here is losing sleep over it lol

Not a good look for Bagnaia. He squandered an opportunity to claw back a few points when Marquez and Martin made contact at the exit of Turn 1. Complaining after-the-fact isn't going to work.

I do kind of see where he's coming from. The first track limits warning was after Martin passed him. Before the runoff area was paved, that mistake would have cost Martin a handful of seconds. Now, it's nothing. I was a bit surprised they didn't make him give back the place. Wouldn't have mattered. He was considerably faster than Bagnaia.

What was this forum called before? In theory I've been on since 2012, but I don't remember signing up. When I tried 'joining' recently I found that I already had an account.

Someone wiser than me once said, "Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right".

Getting offended is a choice
Right. Do not take offenses from people whom you have no respect for. Out there are too many idiots who are ready to tear you down to their level. Don't let it happen and you will be OK. Don't be the guy on that picture. I personally always leave when I see idiots chiming in, whoops, wrong place for me ...
