Afaik as long as both rider and bike cross the line, your classified as a finisher. Don't have to be on the bike.

EDIT: Canet seems to have the speed. I'm happy with that if Ogura stretches into a safe second place. Chantra is entertaining the crowds.

Ai Ogura is the world champion and a deserving one. Everyone was inconsistent, he was the only one who was right there all year long.
Chantra was pissed af about the red, he had gained 1.8 seconds on Ramirez on the final lap.

That post was as of them going to the grid on the sighting lap, where nearly all that were on wets then changed. Eddie O'Shea ended the race with no grip and he pitted to retire.

I'm not sure about the MotoGP race. I can see arguments for any of: Martin; Bagnaia, Marquez, or Bastianini winning. In no particular order.
