2024 Round 19 - PT Grand Prix of Thailand - Chang International Circuit

Pecco will have to risk it for the rest of the championship methinks, unless he's just waiting for Jorge to make a mistake that might not come. Risky strategy both ways.
Me thinks that as long as Martin stays on the bike the rest of the way he's gonna win it all.

If that comes to pass then I suspect Pecco will be pressured in to at least one mistake.

Does rather feel like he's overmuch bought into all the hype about himself. The guy almost never smiles. Comes off like a supercilious martinet, takes it poorly when he doesn't live up to expectations.

I hope not. He trys very hard and has done a lot of winning. He has been very successful prior to the open class. The bike is clearly not there yet.
He is a very good rider but with the aero and ride height it looks easier to crash when over the limit, and he has been.

This revelation from Martin about "Bagnaia is always copying my setup" makes sense. This explains why Martin tends to win sprint races and why next day Bagnaia becomes competitive in main race. Explains why Bagnaia is relatively slow on Fridays, in his own. A week ago I noticed someone from Pramac suggested starting sandbagging on Fridays to delay Bagnaia setup catch-up even further.
Not a good outlook for Bagnaia. Next year Martin will be gone and copying Marc's setup won't suit him at all, I'm sure of that.

First I've read of that. It aint good if accurate

After he had already had the warning.
Looks like he is off the kerb to me but with the bike leaning the way it is, his body positioning the actual weight of the bike could be sitting on the edge of the kerb.
That is the second one. It did look very close. I saw him go on the blue also but that isn't penalised apparently.
I didn't see him touch the green after that and the second one was skating on the edge it seemed.

LOL that sounds like something Doohan would do

Since you've only been on the forum for a year and a half, you can't possibly understand the endless sh*tposting, trolling and nationalistic word wars that happened regularly in the old days--way before this forum was allowed to use the name motogp in its url. Those of us with old accounts almost can't be offended, and even if we take offense, it's probably just for a little shadow boxing to keep our reflexes sharp, and make sure we still got it.

Back in the good old days we Americans might have been called seppos a time or two. Using the term Murican is practically the queen's English. No one on here is losing sleep over it lol
Glad I wasn't here then.
Don't find personal abuse between posters enlightening to read. I come here to read and talk about motoGP racing and that is interesting

You say that but you missed out on one of the worlds greatest poems written about a member named barrymachine. Arrabiatta is not just a great corner at mugello but a wordsmith as well.

Yeah maybe. I've read some good insights on MotoGP though so it's still going alright. I like it anyway.
Had a few laughs too. :)

It was ....... wild around here back in the day. Lots of big personalities. There were a lot more active members and a .... ton more Rossi fanatics along with the Stoner boners from Australia.

I missed a fair bit of the Stoner years. Life got in the way with work and kids. He looked to have a difficult personality but was sublime on the bike.
Rossi I was ambivalent to. Can't stand the kahn now though.

Stoner caused a lot of heated debates on the forum in his days. He was a guy you either loved or hated. His fans were in his corner and ready to back him up at all cost. It was a lot of fun with all the aussies back in the day. A few are left. MichaelM and Gaz. Both of which I had heated debates with but grew to really love as people.

They say its a sensor thing but sometimes I find that hard to believe. I thought for sure Martin would screw up and touch green after the 2nd time. Is there any screen shots of a 3rd touch?
Those are Misano curbs according to Oxley. Supposed to lose more time than you gain by using too much curb. Doesn't make total sense as he overused same curb previously earning the track limits warning in the first place.

Agreed.

I just woke up needing to urinate (of a certain age). I guess I won't go back to sleep so will see the races live.

I dreamed that two kiwi cartoonists had invented NZ's greatest cartoon character ever. They had him in a bucket. But, he was such an offensive little blighter with a steady stream of invective, obsenity, and strange fluids coming out of the bucket that they decided to flush him down the toilet and he was lost forever.

Why is Moto3 reduced to only 12 laps?

EDIT: Rain. Half on slicks half on wets. Alonso on wets. Another crapshoot like Moto2 some races ago?

David Alonso - please make the right choice.

EDIT: Everyone on wets except for Eddie O'Shea. I guess Alonso is on the right tyres or we get an O'Shea victory. It becomes - I hope that Alonso stays upright.

EDIT: More rain. Just as Alonso hits the front.

History in action. Great race there and well deserved record for Alonso. I guess that Furusatu gets the position even though he and the bike slid over the line on the ground? EDIT: Furusato is a DNF even though he crossed the line? Or was that a different line? EDIT: Currently in fifth, but commentators say he will likely lose that. EDIT: Furusato's position stands. I've never seen that before.

Now on to Ogura sealing the championship.

Alonso once again unbeatable, the other guys gotta be glad he's moving up.

Shame Furusato got taken out, he looked like he could win at one point.
Per my understanding of the rules Furusato can't be credited with a finish because rider and bike didn't cross the finish line as a unity.

Moron wrecks himself and his teammate on the penultimate lap.
