Pecco will have to risk it for the rest of the championship methinks, unless he's just waiting for Jorge to make a mistake that might not come. Risky strategy both ways.
Yes I thought he was waiting for a mistake from Jorge towards the end of the sprint, then he threw his cards in with 1 lap to go. He’s feeling the pressure now and Martins got him covered.
Acosta is getting a little tiresome now.

Look, I never intended to be offensive toward anyone. I only knew that word in a humorous and ironic context, I was not aware that it was perceived by anyone to be offensive.

And of course American fans who are knowledgeable about MotoGP are aware what the #1 means and that, should Jörg in fact be carrying next year, it wasn't the result of a title won on an Aprilia.
Someone who watches their first race and has only seen NASCAR before might not though.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it tbh, given how easy it is to cause offence in that part of the world without even knowing it.
I also found it a bit rich that one of the people who made the most noise about it is also someone who has a silly nickname for quite a few riders…

@synn haven’t seen you around for a while mate. Have you heard anything about what Ducati may or may not do with Martin starting to look like the champion elect?

Just watched it. Missed quali, but Marc chucked it down again.
Jorge was on the limit and did very well.
The Beast was untouchable.
Pecco has speed and will be hard to cover tomorrow in the longer race.

Acosta just needs to dial it back a bit.

Just what do you mean by "that part of the world"??? LOL!

Well that sprint race, and the comments Martin made to Hodgson about how Pecco always copies his set up, makes me think that all Martin needs to do now is to stay upright.

Brad talked about how their bike stops working after a few laps when the tyre starts degrading. Cue no KTM pushing for a podium. Acosta has received the memo or his dog ate it.

Diggia clearly thinks the Duc of yesteryear isn't good enough, only in the hands of Marc.

Aleix is more preoccupied by the set up of his new Cerveló bike than his Aprilia, and Maverick has already won a race this season.

The Japanese are....

That more or less leaves five bikes.

Bestianini has just won a race, so he's finished. Morbidelli is just too cool to be bothered.

That leaves three bikes....

The odds must be at an all time best for Martin...

Again I am ok with Pedro crashing. He is willing to go as fast as possible to compete its the ktm that can handle it not him. I think he would have multiple wins on the ducati.

I'm kinda thinking on the Ducati - he'd be even more impetuous. He's still in that mind-set of trying to win the race in Turn One. If he doesn't mature enough to start finishing races, KTM is going to get tired of him.

You do know those nicknames came for a good reason and weren't a broad sweeping generalization aimed at an entire country?

Interesting sprint. Jorge just about did well enough to add a couple points to his lead. However, I couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding in that he could well lose his head again as he did last year. The pressure must be immense since he knows that this could be his only shot at a championship for years to come.

Acosta binned it again!! He is now finally admitting to all that dialling things back a bit would be in both the team's as well as his interest.

Martin doesn't, to me, look like a rider who is suffering from immense pressure at the moment.

Good sprint, thought they were smart rides all around. Pulling for Martin. He pushed a bit too hard and got pretty beat up at the start, but fought back nicely. Thought he might over do it chasing the beast, but kept his head. Late pressure from Bagnaia was exciting, but disappointed he backed off on the last lap. Probably decided it was better to lose 2 points than to lose 9. He still has a few chances to regain the lead, but they are dwindling, especially if Martin can outscore him again tomorrow.

All good dude. I may have taken offense to what you said but I was pretty sure you didn't understand the magnitude of the word. Water under the bridge.

Good thing you weren't here when Jumkie still posted, you might have gotten your knickers in a bunch over nicknames. ;)
Him and I have some nicknames that don't make it to the forum due to the offensiveness. We spell pecco a little differently due to him being a active member of a kult. We spell pecco with 3 k's and no c's
