Who will be the 2009 champion and runners up?

My prediction for 09 (Assuming Control tire...oh, assuming everybody gets the same ...., otherwise Rossi champ).

1. Hayden
2. Stoner
3. Rossi
4. Lorenzo
5. Dovi

Its a ....... prediction, don't get all sensitive people.
It is being suggested in some quarters that bridgestone are not drastically keen on being a control tyre supplier. If so, apart from making puig repsol honda complete idiots (perhaps not entirely incredible) this would leave nicky, lorenzo and dovi well placed for any preferential treatment that might be going around from michelin as a control tyre supplier in 2009.

I begin to wonder if dorna are manouevring to keep both michelin and bridgestone in the game but will attempt to restrict the tyre technology.

Who cares who the first LOOSER is

I'm dying to see Pedro run the #3....little ....... turd

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (stoner27 @ Sep 22 2008, 11:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Thats a good one ill have too use that one hey..

But yes then lets talk about 06, a year where his team mate won 4 races in a year, where Hayden has only won 3 races in 6 Seasons.. Let talk about Assen 06 where he nor Edwards wanted to win that race, if i remember he gave up the lead on the second last lap, and only won cos Edwards cant ride out a race. The last thing i wanted to do is turn this into a Hayden vs Stoner, cos i like Hayden, but the fact is Ducati hired Hayden to sell 1098s in America/ Canada and if he can ride well then thats a bonus, Marco Simoncelli will be on that bike in 2010 just watch..

And yes i do watch every race religiously i have been since 1987 when i was a 12 year old.
I dont know what you were doing in 1987, mabe you were ORALLY STIMULATING YOUR PROSTATE..

got it in nice and early

ermmmm...how many riders next year??
...And I think it seems to early, since we have to wait until the pre-season testing to figure it.
Interesting to see Ducati's Carbon frame, Yamaha's new DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) and Pedrosa on Stones.

Jumkie won't be very happy with your list...
<

I want to see a close race, rivalry among riders and a lot of head bangings next year.
<
Championship to be decided only in the last race.

Of course I want to see JT and Hayden on the podium more often

You should know by now...... jumkie is not a happy person, he's a troubled soul. For goodness sake the guy still believes Hayden has a chance on becoming a champion again, as if 1 miracle wasn't enough for him, that alone tells you what kind of a person he is. Ask the guy...and he probably still believes in the tooth fairy.

Heres my top 5, if they go with controlled tires.

1. Rossi
This guy is on a mission to win championships. If anyone comes close, i doubt they can succumble to his mind games, maybe lorenzo. He may end up getting in rossi's head with his signature outside passing

2. Lorenzo
He seems to be comfortable on the bike now. Once he gets through more testing and practice, he will only get better. If he can get comfortable riding with a full tank of gas, he will be hard to catch.

3. Stoner
Hes proven himself as a top 3 contender. Rossi got in his head this year at laguna and put an end to any hopes of having a championship this year.

4. Dovizioso(if he has a factory ride)
This kid is good, he can adapt at a fast rate. He needs factory support to get him there.

5. Hayden
Hayden is strong rider, may not be the fastest, but he has heart, hopefully he didnt lose it 07 or 08. He needs to be comfortable on the bike. The last time he was comfortable, he won a championship.

side note: Pedrosa ...... himself when he crashed in the rain. I think he lost a lot of confidence from the ccident, hence the poor performance in Indy. He wont have his confidence back until 2010.

Number 3 or 2 should be Dovizioso, the guy can just flat out ride a bike even if it's crappy....which I think Lorenzo can not do, Dovizioso is the next Rossi....maybe not a Rossi but he will sure leave his mark I believe. And Hayden number 5??? Are you freaking kidding me???? ohhhh man.... you got alot to learn, you just ruin your reputation by placing Hayden 5th on your list.

Careful, he could end up second if Stoner goes for the early op. He could end up turd if things remain the same, but he could end up fourth if Lorenzo podiums the rest of the races. I can see many here rooting for Lorenzo for the rest of the season.

I don’t think that you are anywhere near qualified enough, to judge any ones reputation or learning requirements. And as for reputation....................say no more.

I think that you were right at the end of last and the beginning of this season that the Michelin qualis were much better than the Bridgestones, but this has been eroded over the season to a huge extent.

You need to check your facts:

In 06 Rossi won 5 races, Capirossi 3, Melandri 3, Hayden 2, Pedrosa 2 (not 4), Elias 1, Bayliss 1
