Anyone else surprised with Pedrosa's results, after his strength last week I would have at least thought he would be in there mixing it with the Yamaha's?

No he's terribly inconsistent, add to that how often the riders are talking about how having pace on Saturday doesn't mean you'll have it on Sunday(tyres)

He has ridden for Honda for such a long time, and just signed another contract with him. Does anyone know why they keep him around giving his hit and miss results? Is it just a case of better the devil you know or is he really great with bike development?

How big is Marc Marquez's chin, his Shoei cannot fully contain it. No wonder his chin was injured in his Mugello high speed crash.

Shoei should make a special add on under helmet chin encapsulator that connects to the bottom of the helmet to contain his commanding chin. It may catch on, Jay Leno would buy one.

Shark already own the patent for Syksey.

Well Redding didn't waste any time crashing out.

Good way to fight for that 2017 GP17.

I'd say so, given that it was his teammate that took him out.

I have mainly managed to avoid spoilers out of respect for those who care, apart from hinting at the British F1 result once when no-one had posted in the F1 topic for 6 months,

Ha! - I remember that, Bonnie called you a .....

Im making hand gestures at rossi!

That'll be €300 please Bazza.

So after the lottery of the new compound at Misano they return to the comparative security and familiarity of the 34K tyres, which to be fair have become quite dependable despite the clement conditions. Upshot being, Pedrosa can't get the necessary heat into his rubber again and Dovi's Ducati chewed the medium rear.

Huge props to Nicky for scoring points having zero experience of bike, tyre or electronics package.

Well done Petrucci. I now direct your attention to the 'Redding has 5 races' thread to remind you of the reasons that Danillo sucks more donkey .... than 'IamPony'.

Pedrosa may have to stop his exercising and modify his diet, more pies, sausage rolls and KFC.

Rossi fans now accusing Lorenzo of helping Marquez to win again. Repeat of 2015 in 3, 2, 1....

Rossi was totally ignored in parc ferme by Marquez and Lorenzo, I didn't see if Crutchlow shake hands with him, but Marc and Jorge didn't look at Rossi even on the rostrum. Oh boy, what a pleasure.

Because I don't mind what he said.

If you want to be assured of no spoilers never login till you've seen the races.

My thoughts exactly. Dont go to a GP websight not wanting to know the results of a GP race. Some people just look for something to be offended by.

Yep, in the rare occasion when I can't see a GP live I have a total news blackout and switch from BBC to commercial radio. Easy really.

It's a handbag fight between juveniles from both sides, nothing more and certainly not worth tarring all VR fans with the same brush.

It wasn't a handbag fight though Lorenzo was asked his opinion he gave it Rossi acted like a sook because some mean but truthful words were said about him. It's not all VR fans but it's consistently coming from them. I wish he was retiring at the end of the year so they had no reason to watch again. Even Rossi himself has turned into the worst personality in the paddock, there's consistent back handed compliments, passive aggressive comments or veiling his venom by a small chuckle that the media and his fans eat up. He continues to bring up his insane conspiracy theory at every opportunity even though the riders are supposedly not allowed to bring the sport in to disrepute. I'm totally over him and his fans. It's crazy to think that before 2015 he was my second favourite current rider.

Because, whatever you think of him, he is a champion and he wants to be a champion again. Most champions whatever the sport are greedy and want more. Marc has already got two titles, why does he need another for that matter?

As for dwelling on his loss, again like many champions he will remember the ones that got away more than the ones he won. Plus he realises he is getting older and that the chances of a 10th get a little bit more unlikely each year. Time is not on Vale's side.
Sure, I inderstand the motivation of a champion stuff, but not the concentration to this extent on the one that got away particularly this late in his career; all jokes aside he actually is a 9 time champion, and previous all time greats like Roberts and Lawson seem to have managed to console themselves with being all time greats with half the number of premier class titles despite not being able to win every year for their whole careers.

If him continuing the narrative indicates that he truly believes in the conspiracy theory he propounds I think the reactions of MM and JL both at the end of last season and after this current race when they apparently brushed Rossi indicate they don't believe they conspired; MM at first seemed frankly bewildered followed by being angry when Rossi first made his allegations.

As I said, this recent race unfolded pretty much the way PI 2015 did for MM, early near lose (loses at PI), wait for the bike to come into better balance, dominant pace at the end. I presume no-one is alleging skullduggery/faking the lose in this race.

I agree Dorna need to get some balls and censure him because this crap about last year is painful. I've argued loads on here about putting that to bed and todays interview pissed me off.
It's a shame that so many of his fans resort to name calling, to me they're not really into the sport just the person but he's in serious danger of ruining his own history.

Marquez was untouchable today. Great race for second although Rossi got a bit desperate and Lorenzo beat him in a straight fight. Good job Lorenzo didn't turn in as quick this week......hold on that might have been Rossis plan.

See pettrucci has resorted to his countrymans tactics of last year. He got a ride through so I assume it was worse than Rossi and Marquez last yr? Anyone seen it?

Great race. I think Marquez scared himself with that front end going so id well to bide his time and wait for the hard tyre to come to him.

Lorenzo rode well, I wasn't sure he'd get Rossi but am glad he did. WTF is up with Petrucci these days? Oh and good job Nicky, getting a point on your GP return!
