Nah man, its in Spanish, allow me to translate: two concerned fans wanted to check on Marc's state of mind. That is, they wanted to give him a piece of their mind.

Based on their carry on, I am not sure the have much of a mind left to give :D

Devolution, how did Marquez get out so far off the racing line and to the edge of the track?

MM got out of the racing line and about 1 meter off the edge of the track because VR took him there. MM ramming VR with his bike is not excused by this.

Wow, I'm impressed you admitted Rossi perpetrated running Marc off to the edge if the track. Didn't expect that. Ok so then Marc is ran off the race line, by complete surprise, as such a moment has hardly a precedent, and while Rossi's looks over multiple times, toying with the acceleration, eradicating pushing Marc out, tricking him to take evasive action, when he finally induces contact, at this point it because Marc's fault for that and the entire sequence?

Both are to blame for what happened. MM started the sequence of events. It was clear he was on a mission that day, and it was not about having the best result in the race. It was about toying with VR.
1. MM toying with VR.
2. VR fuming and forcing a wide line on MM.
3. MM fuming and ramming VR.
At the end of the day, only VR got punished.

Btw, why did Marc come back to the garage? Was his bike damaged?

I am surprised that the acuity with which you viewed the incident didn't extend even .5sec past the impact.... you would have seen his right footpeg and brake on the tarmac...

He could have opened the steering and headed for that, but apparently he needed to tighten his line twice, making contact with Rossi both times, when nearing that white line whilst doing all of 30mph. After the second contact came the crash.

And how many GP's have you won to be qualified to say that? Marquez was on the very edge of the outside of the track on the marbles because Rossi put him there

In a parallel universe this has actually happened. Marc slows forces Vale off-line, Valentino tries to get by, Marc lashes out at Vale, Vale falls off - Exactly the same sequence of events unfolds in reverse...and 200 new members on this forum take the diametrically opposite view that they are now in support of their hero.

Haha!! Excellent!

Just curious..

After thee days, 1000 plus new post, 40+ new folks on the forum, and 1000's of hours spent reading "rational" debates on the The Great Clash of 2015, has anyone changed their mind from what they thought the second it happened?

I'm now in two minds about the 'kick' I initially thought Rossi definitely knocked him off but the few times I've looked at the incident again I'm not totally sure on the timing of it. But, to be fair I don't care enough to spend hours of my personal time proving something to people I don't care about (i.e. all the new rossi bopper members)

I haven't. With a helmet you become attuned to noticing when a rider is pointing it in a certain direction - if he's looking at the apex, studying the right etc. When you see Vale's heading twisting about as much as he did and him slowing and looking left whilst approaching a right handed corner, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to ascertain what his intentions are.

Interestingly, most neutrals will tend to agree with you.

Exactly.

Thanks for that.

I had been watched the replay for many times, and for me that was very clear from the helicopter's camera that rossi had been hit by marc and that cause his leg was out from the footstep..That was a big shame that the race direction give 3 penalty points to him, there was no more integrity in motogp #saverossifromthatfckinglittlebastard

It's also a big shame you decided to post here.

Shame that MM is allowed to use his bike as a deadly weapon, and ram other riders. He has done it before, and now done it again.
What was he thinking when he drove his bike into Rossi's leg? He was in the spot, the cameras on, there was no way to avoid the whole world to see it.

Let's flip that around. What was Rossi thinking when he drove his bike into Marquez'?

Absolute ......... The 'sequence of events' began on Thursday owing to the fact that Marc gave everyone - not just Rossi - a race at PI (which if you hadn't noticed is predisposed as a circuit to close racing) - beating JL and taking 5 points off his championship campaign in the process.

Do you condone the humiliating and undignified way that Rossi behaved in that Press Conference? It'd be 'interesting' to watch this board go into meltdown several years back had Stoner made the same allegations.

Next question...why do practically never post about anything other than Valentino Rossi? Why for seven years have you posted nothing other than ill informed ........? -(that's two questions I know).

And finally, all this 'GOAT .....'...who gives a crap how many championships this charlatan has won or goes on to win? It could be another ten for all I care. There's only one candidate for 'greatest of all time' - it's not up for debate and Rossi the 'great pretender' will never come close. We've seen what this arsehole is prepared to resort to to win, and it goes beyond racing. It's cost him friendships, integrity and now, respect and reputation.

The yellow smokescreen of flagrant hype, and tacky publicity will doesn't obscure the narcissism, conceit, insecurity and disingenuous nature that lurks behind it to the impartial and rational minded observer.

The real GOAT, was genuine, dignified, and humble in defeat. The real GOAT could ....... ride anything. The real GOAT didn't need to resort to puerile mind games or poor sportsmanship on track and the real GOAT was fast as ..... And if he had still been with us in 2011, he would have given Rossi a lesson in how to win on an uncompetitive and unrideable Ducati, just as Stoner did.

Same here. I initially was certain that Rossi had kicked him off and considered a DQ the bare minimum.

After I saw slower replays, I thought that the proximate cause of the crash was Marquez turning into Rossi - but I still think Rossi is ultimately at fault for running the kid off line and creating a situation where Marquez felt like he needed to turn into him (whether to make the corner or just because he was pissed off!). It's certainly not as bad as kicking MM off, but still worthy of a sanction.

Even had a good first name.

I restrict myself to the events of the race itself. The fact that MM did what he did, while he had time to reflect after the press conference just cements the fact he is an ...... Do you have any concrete comments to the sequence of events as unfolded during the race?

Do you condone the humiliating and undignified way that Rossi behaved in that Press Conference? It'd be 'interesting' to watch this board go into meltdown several years back had Stoner made the same allegations.

I have not seen the press conference. But If he did what you say he did, than I have no problem to admit it was undignified .

I am posting about my thoughts and feelings. If that is BS to you, we can leave it at that.
I am mostly interested in Rossi. He has been an inspiration to me ever since I started to watch MotoGP. Not just his riding abilities, but the whole package. He is probably not someone I would want to have as a work colleague, but as an idol- he is everything I can ask for.

He did not loose my respect. And nearly 500,000 people have signed the petition for him. I guess you are right, that he is narcissist ......., and I love him for it. He is the Tyson of MotoGP.

I dont know who you are talking about and I dont care. I guess he is long gone in a retirement home.

Obviously he just wanted to check to see if Marc was ok, given Rossi had just caused him to crash. Rossi is surrounded by goons. No wonder nobody told him, dude, calm the .... down, nobody is out to get you.

Btw, why did Marc come back to the garage? Was his bike damaged?

When Marquez was picking the bike up there was something on the floor that had clearly come off. I don't know the mechanics of the bikes I'm afraid but it looked like it wasn't meant to be on the floor!

Amazing. Rossi is an incredible talent yet Marquez is now so dominant that he could "toy" with Rossi like a lion with a rabbit!

"MM fuming and ramming VR" - I'd love to see you in traffic. Lift off the handbrake and roll your car back into the car behind and you'd accuse them of ramming you.

"Only VR got punished" - What and crashing out isn't a form of punishment for Marquez?

Spot on, great post.

A salient point. If MM and his bike are so superior why is he running third in the championship after crashing out of 4 or 5 races; perhaps there has been a conspiracy against him and he should be given the world championship.
