Misano Race Discussion

---

One thing one could say for Stoner is that having nothing to lose championship-wise, he might have chosen to take more risks--that could explain the crashes.

Another pro-Stoner consideration is about his old fracture giving him pain. He was maybe trying to build up as much gap as possible from Rossi today, thinking that in the end of the race it would become harder for him to push hard.

Who knows. The fact is, he has now crashed out of three races in a row. That in itself, whatever the reason, can't be a good thing.

Basically the same thing is happening this season as 2001.

If you zoom in closely on Stoners visor...., you can see what looks to be tear drops running down his cheeks.

Stoner explaining front tyre issue.
''Basically we took the decision to put one lap on the race tyre in warm-up this morning to get it scrubbed in: we've done it before and not had a problem but today I could feel from the first lap that the grip wasn't right''.

It disappoints me that both these riders became so demoralized they had to demand tyre changes to be satisfied. However i do understand that Dani and Rossi should not be critisized for their move as the psychology of a racer is the most important thing and they must do whatever it takes to win.
listen, rossis contract with michilin was up and thats the time to change and sign new contracts, whether it be teams tyres catering or what ever. rossi was being forced to re sign with a company because bridgstone said they could not supply anyone else, (probably at the request of ducat) rossi was right to kick up, how would you feel if you were being forced against your will to stay with something you didnt want.rossi said he would rather leave.

dani, puig hrc not only jumped ship halfway through the contract but they even tried to get other teams to boycott races to get there own way, ....... shameful imo.

Well, I guess I was wrong. Stoner did choke and the chmpionship fight is over. That's too bad really.
Of course I'm happy Rossi will win it but I was hoping for a bit more of a fight. And the race, well, after Stoner's crash the lead was as exciting as my 400km ride home today and that says a lot.

But I must applaud the producer that show more and more mid pack fights and that put some excitment into the show.
Good ride by Lorenzo and Elias.

Then what does this tell us about his decision making? If he know that his tire wasn't right why did he push himself so hard. He also makes it sound like he wouln't of had problems with the tire if he hadn't scrubed the tire in for a lap. If that tire had problems I doubt one extra lap would have made it fail in what lap eight of a twenty-eight lap race.

Not trying to be an ... about it, just tellking it how i see it. You Stoner fans just need to be quiet and stop defending him, attacking those who all along knew he was a choker. You can tell he is not one to be able to stand up to pressure just by his demeanor and the way he carries himself. <span style="font-family:Arial BlackI'm not going to rub it in you <span style="font-family:Arial BlackStoner fans face.... but hey now you guys know i was right all along.
So, you're not going to rub it into any Stoner fans faces, but 3 more times after this statement you do. You're a fuckstick.

So it wasn't his injury ?!

Funny - I haven't heard one Rossi fan say it was a boring race even though once he hit the front it was all over. Seems to me when Stoner (or anyone but Rossi) wins then it's the usual cries of BORING!

But then again, it's Rossi, apparently anything to do with him is beyond reproach.

Actually , I'm a Rossi fan, and I dont recall calling any race as boring. I may have called the winner boring, (personally) but not the racing. There is always something happening on track if you don't just watch the leaders.
