<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>A the post race interview Elias said he "was free" and that anyone interested should let him know. He actually looked like he was on the verge of crying. Talk about your bittersweet moments. Sounds like Ducati has already cut him loose. How ....... ironic is that? The one other guy who finally learns to ride the 08 bike competitively isn't assured of a ride.
Elias can cry all he likes. Nothing against the guy. But when you're a pro racer getting support from a team, riding in a seat that so many would gladly give an arm and a leg for, GETTING PAID FOR IT, and owing your fans and sponsors at the very least the best performance you can summon up every race day, I find it shameful that he only gets his finger out when his job is on the line.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Eurosport said Ago has not been seen by them today - hence no celebration with him.
Ago was there. And how! He was in the Italia 1 studio on location and had a bit of banter with Valentino with Graziano, Domenicali and the rest of the posse joining in and joking that Ago had 'given permission' to Vale to equal his number of wins.

We know somebody else who used to do that.

As I remember Rossi couldn't do the November tests on B's until after the new year when his contract was expired

<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>wrong ! rossi waited not only until the season had ended, he waited until his contract expired with them unlike dani who jumped ship half way through the season and threatened to boycott races he they didn't concede.
Not only that. I haven't seen it on here but the Italia 1 guys were saying, and in his post race interview Lorenzo confirmed, that after qualifying at the last race, Puig went round the boxes of all Michelin riders trying to get ALL OF THEM to boycott the race. What a bloody cheek! Especially as I'm sure the bridgestone deal didn't just fall out of the sky in the space of 14 days. So this guy was trying to get others to miss their race when all along he had the Stones lined up.
Now onto the race.
The 250's race pissed me off. It seems when you're spanish you can get away with anything in Motogp. Barbera was pretty barbaric...after all the BLA BLA from Dorna that they wouldn't tolerate dirty riding, and bringing in the 'yellow card' rule and slapping it retroactively on Simoncelli, who cannot afford to screw up (or retaliate as would have been fair today) or he'll be shown the red card and the door, they let Barbera get away with murder. W@nkers!
The Motogp race was ok. I don't know what's wrong with Stoner though at this point it's hard not to assume some psychological damage has indeed been done. It's sad to see him go down for the third race in a row. I was just thrilled for Lorenzo more than anything as it's great to see him have overcome all that he's gone through this season and come in for a totally well earned second. If only Pedrosa had half this kid's character. He might be mad...but he knows what he wants and how to work for it. I used to admire Pedrosa in his 250 days...now I just think he's a little bit pathetic.
On a lighter note...Maradona, it seems, will never grow a sporting conscience. It's all ok to support Valentino....but cheering when Stoner went down is just childish.
