And I would say that is for the benefit of Jorge and Dani who are leading him in the championship, as it seems Stoner is taking his eyes off them and focussing his energy on Rossi

I agree, stoner just needs to go about his business which is riding that honda as best he can. Lorenzo is looking strong. Super sic will be mapped out of the race.

Stoner was not shy at all in the media interview. I say he has balls to sit there in front of him and say the stuff he did. Some may not like him but he ain't never scared to say what he thinks and do it right in front of the person as well. I like that.

Watching Rossi's body language during the media session none of it was positive. It would be nice to get Cal from 'Lie to Me' to give his impression of Rossi's response to the GP12 test question. From my limited knowledge of body language it smacked of shame and untruth.

As far as Rossi getting a tow we never get to see what is happening in the full sequence. If Rossi or others is slowly circulating waiting for someone to come past and then puts the power down to jump on the back (Barbara 100% of the time he is on the track in Practice & Qualifying) then the rider has a right to be pissed in my opinion. I would like someone to post up a video of Stoner EVER doing this in his career.

If Rossi thinks he is playing mind games then I think he needs to pull his head in. I would say it is the opposite and Stoner is working a political game that will force Dorna to play fair by continuously putting the bias on the front page of every MotoGP media outlet. Rossi knows its happening and does not like it.

Dude.. First see the videos or atleast see the pics I posted above. See the gap Rossi had with Stoner at the start of the lap. Since they both posted same time even a 'person-who-thinks-differently' like you should be able to figure out that at the end of the lap, the gap remained same. Tell me how can Rossi get a tow from 50m backs. Rossi was running very fast consistent laps while Casey was sitting in his garage for most of the time

The last run of Rossi was

1.38.476

1.38.223

1.38.357

1.38.658

1.38.497

1.38.6

1.48.578

1.38.102

Stoner's last run was

1.39.476

1.38.289

1.38.102

How can you come to this conclusion that Rossi got his fast lap from Casey's tow. Get your facts right before coming up with this kind of garbage.

Anyway, I wouldn't expect any objective reply from you on matters concerning Stoner and Rossi..

Estoril MotoGP: Rossi and Stoner clash again

By Matthew Birt - MotoGP

The on-going intense rivalry between Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner continued on and off the track today in Portugal.

Back on track for the first time since Rossi caused a controversial collision with Stoner at the previous round in Jerez, a renewal of their fierce rivalry showed no sign of easing tonight ahead of the third round of the 2011 world championship in Estoril.

Aussie Stoner was riled in practice that factory Ducati rider Rossi was following him to try and improve his lap time.

At one stage, the 2007 world champion was seen gesturing Rossi towards him and the Repsol Honda rider explained: "It was like calling Valentino who was always following me. To find the best lap he was always behind me."

"It's like a dog always following you everywhere so it was like c'mon (whistles), good boy. If he is struggling to do a lap time this is it. We had our problems during the session and we were focussing on this but I also saw he held up Toni Elias a lot to find his lap time so I don't think it is so correct."

Rossi spent the majority of a lengthy media debrief with the Italian media talking about Stoner and he repeated his typically forthright opinions when he faced questions from the international press pack.

The 32-year-old said: "About today, I don’t think Casey likes me a lot. This is quite clear. First it was because I slowed down to catch my breath because I was quite tired and I wanted to make a last lap pushing."

"Stoner passed and I restarted to push. He was in front of me but I wasn't close but this happens in every practice and every race, so if he doesn’t want anybody to follow him then he has to race alone."

Rossi said he had seen Stoner's gesture and he added: “I saw it yes but I expected this. When we are together he always exaggerates everything too much. If I have to make like this in all my career for people that follow me then I break my seat."

For the full story and more on the simmering tension between Rossi and Stoner, see the May 4 issue of MCN.

.

And as some people always say (or Imagine): Imagine, if Rossi had said these things.

Stoner is trying to bring others behind him, Elias and Rossi was a nice bit and nothing was wrong with it, he just hopes to get Elias on his side. This is a bit childish and i think it's a lose lose situation.

This exaggeration about the marshals, and today and his jumping back to track, just shows he is very pi$$ed off, and i dont think this will help him on the race day. He is distracted and has set himself up for another championship which is the fight with Rossi.

Ah, I love it! Sete must be laughing his ... off.

Where is the wambulance, Rossi needs a lift.

Jumkie, I know you would pass on this as this is not pro-Rossi. But doesn't it sound parallel to the x-ray vision you keep talking about? Finally we have a member here in PS who can just read the minds of people. I guess Mental should offer his services to Indian government as we have lots of unsolved criminal cases here in India. He can just look at the suspect and declare whether he is guilty or not

I think stoner is stepping up for all the people that rossi has demoralised in the past, and is trying to turn the tables on him. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Rossi/Stoner marshals acted correctly in Jerez

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/s...pr2911-rossi-stoner-marshals-acted-correctly/

By Matthew Birt - MotoGP

The action of marshals in the immediate aftermath of Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner's collision in the recent Jerez MotoGP race has been deemed safe and appropriate after a review in Estoril today.

Race Direction reviewed video evidence of the controversial incident in Estoril earlier while today’s meeting also heard from Juan Alvarez, Director of the Jerez circuit.

Aussie Stoner was heavily critical of the way marshals behaved after he was wiped out by factory Ducati rival Rossi as the pair diced for the podium in an enthralling rain-hit Jerez clash.

Stoner was furious that he was not given more assistance to re-join the race and he said marshals in the first corner incident had shown favouritism to nine-times world champion Rossi.

Stoner repeated his criticism of the marshals again yesterday when speaking on the eve of this weekend’s third round in Portugal. The Repsol Honda rider was forced to retire while Rossi remounted to claim fifth position.

But a short statement from Race Direction said: "After reviewing various videos of the incident between Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner during the race of the Grand Prix of Spain on 3 April 2011 and hearing the explanation from Juan Alvarez, Director of the Circuito de Jerez, the Race Direction has decided that the behaviour of the track marshals was safe and appropriate."

"The Race Direction recommends the current rules be reviewed by the Grand Prix Commission in order to study possible solutions that may results in better procedures."

What will we have at next gp? maybe a hearing about Rossi Stoner of this week and another clarification?

Casey needs to curb the emotion i think...if Rossi really was getting a tow off him he'd be ahead of him, just like Barbera earlier in the session when following Dovi. He's not doing himself any favours acting like this and i'm curious as to why he does these things.

Its going to be 1 hell of an interesting season thats for sure!

So Casey he has to gesture to Rossi

can i have it up the arse ? Dear me

i know he's signed for honda but he needs to cool down, hes getting a bit hot under the collar

he aint got the white stuff in the corner of his mouth yet.

I never said I thought he followed him. Read my post don't jump to conclusions.

You obviously have never watched 'Lie to Me'. Where did I say I read his mind? Body language mate body language.

I think stoner is stepping up for all the people that rossi has demoralised in the past, and is trying to turn the tables on him. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Actually he is doing it for himself, and is using the other controversies to his own benefit. This week his argument is imo totally bs, because we have never seen Rossi waiting for a tow, and surely not from Stoner, otherwise he would have mentioned it long time ago, when he had those problems with Barbera and the same Elias, that he is fooling today. or he meant it again only for in this race and next week he will come out and explain it again.

Last gp his comments were not right, but every rider will be angry at that situation, but this one was without any reason and really childish.

But the good thing will be that we will get an extra especial show between these two again.

Rossi wasn't the one crying.

Sure he was. He's crying that Stoner doesn't like him. (I guess he demands people adore him, after all, that's what he's use to).

Rossi doesn't even appreciate the kind gesture Stoner extended to him. He was inviting him to follow, to help him out.

that was just my way of saying he's being a fuggin whinger
<
I was trying to not upset the stoner applecart too much haha. Thats 3 whinges since the last race, one of which is totally understandable. He really is starting to paint himself into a corner. Like someone said earlier, he should just let his riding do the talking, cause it will speak really well for him
<

Whats next? "I was on my in lap, and Valentino came past, and his bright yellow sprained my eyeball" (to quote eddie murphy haha)

You posted this in the same page I posted the pics of last lap. Just adding an 'if' doesn't take away the tone or intention you wanted to convey.

And regarding the body language, I think your finding doesn't hold water for the following reasons

1. The frame they used in 2012 machine isn't same as 2011

2. Rossi is a too smart and sophisticated person to show his guilt through obvious body language that could be read by dummies (no insult intended)
