Edwards was on a slick at the end of warm up. All the riders were on rains as the track was still very humid and damp from last nights rain.

Nah, Simo is cool, he doesn't give a ..... Jorge looks rather tense!

What a cat fight between them all.

It wont get any better for us, now we can expect a few contacts between these two.

go everybody go, I expect a good job from all of them. Rossi,Lorenzo, Simoncheli, Stoner, Pedrosa, Spies ....

Hey Kesh, come on Lorenzo has been smashing into people for ages, what about his last lap pass, if you can really call it that on Pedrosa last year, practically just smashed into the side of him & carried on. Then there was Motegi where his own championchip was at stake & it was half & half between him & rossi but still. The Valencia incident was 110% Lornzos fault, he was damn lucky both he & biking bigfoot were not both on the floor with broken bones. He is just pissed this is his track & how dare anyone get so close to him - ....... ......!

On the "Fairing bashing" - Well not sure what its like anywhere else but when i have partaked in some on track action ive had plenty of paint swapping, its part of racing at club & to some point national level.

I can't recall anyone so aggressively standing up other riders during quali. I don't say he was being all that dangerous and what others said about riders dawdling on the line. It did seem like he was in a bit of mood.

Re: fairing bashing... I agree 100%. There are however levels of what most riders consider acceptable. I was a club racer and had an endurance team for 5 years. But the stuff that Simoncelli has been known to pull has been way over the line. Dovi has complained, Ayoma has, Bautista has and now Lorenzo. These guys are at the top and they're not a bunch of ........

Kesh, not that it matters to me because I can't hide from the results, but you gotta take that outta this thread. People won't be happy if they're spoiled in here.

So now a rider who may crash is dangerous. Well, in fact even a rider speeding at 300kmh is very dangerous, could run over the one who just crashed and kill him. It has happened. The only solution is to abolish motorcycle racing, or even motorcycles in general.

Unless of course you just want to abolish Simoncelli, like Lorenzo.

No, a rider who may crash is not generally dangerous but the thing is Simoncelli is constantly crashing: Jerez race, Estoril free practice, Estoril qualifying, Estoril race.

Kesh, not that it matters to me because I can't hide from the results, but you gotta take that outta this thread. People won't be happy if they're spoiled in here.

Done. How come nobody started a race thread. No-one watching the race today?

Bigbang, same thing I told Kesh. You gotta keep race spoilers outta this thread.

Lorenzo is worried because he knows he's likely to lose a close race with Sic, and so he is trying to intimidate him in front of the press by accusing him preemptively. He hopes Sic will feel like a schoolboy under examination tomorrow...

Bottom line, he's afraid of Sic imho. All these top riders are getting pretty nervous with Simoncelli being so fast. And big.

Blaming Simoncelli for last year's incident at Valencia is absolutely groundless. It was Lorenzo's mistake, that only by chance did not end like Rossi and Stoner's at Jerez.

Lorenzo isn't scared of Sic in terms of outright performance because Marco just isn't there yet, but Stoner, Lorenzo and all the other 'clean' riders are obviously fed up with situations where certain riders pull 'dirty' moves to get past when they can't do so properley. It must be frustrating, and it is perfectly reasonable of them to want this kind of behaviour dealt with before someone goes too far in a safetey sense rather than just a sporting one.

As for Lorenzo blaming Sic for Valencia last year, i have to agree that he cannot really complain because he wasn't far enough past to take the line. Having said that Marco has a lot of history. It isn't about the fact he crashes a lot, a few riders do that and nobody cares, but it's how Marco behaves in a battle where is reputation preceeds his actual actions. Time after time he has slammed doors in peoples faces, weaved on straights and punted people off the track when they are in his way. He is a character, he is spectacular and entertaining to watch (even more so when it's a grudge match), but he can also be dangerous. Discussing this kind of thing does not make any of these riders '.......', it just shows they are wise to their surroundings and see the bigger picture. Having little fights in a press conference mind you is not the best way to go about things, and doesn't make either of them look good. That goes for Rossi and Stoner too.

Might i add that i love it, by the way.

Peace

First of all, its not BS. What Lorenzo said should be sobering to anybody. Second, Rossi doesn't have the standing to say this, since he just torpedoed somebody in the last race.
<

In my opinion it was bs, as it wasn't Simoncheli's fault at Valencia 2010, but Lorenzo's.

But still IMAGINE if Rossi had said those bs. Dont be shy
<

and what was btw your opinion on Lorenzo's move on Pedosa in last lap of a race in 2010 (i forgot which race). this one maybe reminds Tom about his Cleaner riders theory, not to mention that he once also took Hayden out.

Been waiting for this storm to hit town for some time. I've never liked Brillo-boy. I can easily recall the .... he pulled on Ayoma, Dovi and Baustista back in the 250 races. Like my dear ol' Ma used to say, Once a ......... always a .......... He's been remarkably restrained these last 12 months - but his real nature is starting to show.

Re: those passes this morning by Stoner on Nicky and the trustafarian kid - all I can say is, WTF??? I'd like to hear that he's made some kind of apology to both of them. He was looking almost as desperate as Rossi.
<

Yes, Simonch has had a few aggressive moves in 250 races, but so far i haven't seen any special thing from him in motogp, Lorenzo himself had already a few

and probably Hayden's acceptance of this apologies will have a lot to do with Stoner keeping his helmut on or off at that time.
<

Good on him - before motorcycle racing goes the way of the pansies. Fairing bashing is good.

I'm surprised that Lorenzo blamed simoncelli for something that was clearly his fault. Don't remember him doing that at the time - must have convinced himself over time that it was someone else's fault.

+1

That's what i thought.
