2018 Gran Premio d'Italia Oakley

RC, how much of these lap records might we contribute to the progression of the GP bike? ( improved power delivery, Aero package, chassis and swingarm development, etc.)

If you live in a glass house don't throw rocks.

I don’t think anyone can attribute a given percentage to any particular part. They are all interlinked. I remember Tech 3 having a very bad year the year after the switch to Michelin and they attributed that to a bike that was built around the Bridgestones. Same story with aero, swing arms etc. they are all designed to compliment the handling characteristics of the bike with a given set of tyres.

If you take a 2018 MotoGP bike and shod it with some 2015 Bridgestones, I am fairly certain the handling would be unpredictable.

It’s not looking good..
Did he make contact with the wall? Australian footage didn’t show the crash, only AI slowing when he saw the crash

I hope Pirro is ok but from how long it took to move him and get him off the track it's doubtful he will be taking any further part of the weekend.

Marquez gets booed even in Spain. What’s new?

What can I say, Rossi fans as a group have no class. Nothing new or surprising, I guess you're right. I guess the booing is preferable to spitting on a rival like they did to Stoner.

Is there any chance that Pirro hasn't broken at least one leg and/or torn ligaments?

Italian media says no broken arms or legs for Pirro

They just announced that on the Aussie stream. Incredible really when I saw the way he landed and how much his body twisted I though something had to be broken or torn. He's probably still out though, I would be surprised if he was able to pass a concussion test.

That crash was brutal. I seriously hope he hasn't sustained an permanent injuries. Maybe the fastest and definitely one of the worse off's I've seen.

Marquez maybe loses his record for fastest crash after that one.

At least they pay to do it where as the Rossi haters do their hating online for free.

I’m in Melbourne so probably watching the same feed, was just trying to quote a source.

I’m just glad he is ok, I honestly thought he was deceased giving the speed and track position of the crash
