True, which is probably the sole reason they appealed.

But, look at Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong etc. There's only so much sponsors will take.

True - sponsors for golf related stuff are into "Family Values. And doping has been such a sensitive issue in bicycling for such a long time. Whereas sponsors of motorcycling events seem to have much lower standards.

Although if i had done something like this that brought my employer into disrepute (chin one me work mates at the christmas party) i would be out on my ear before i could blink, i cant see this happening.

when #99 #46 are gone there going to struggle

remember that rossi in his interview said something like "i dont understand what lorenzo have to do with any of this incident!!"(after he was told that MM and lorezo have said they lost respect for rossi and everything,....

they are all like puppets, and rossi is the puppet master,
story is probably bs but it came out of somewhere, guess who planted the idea.

Wait wait wait, Lorenzo threw Rossi under the bus? Uhm, figure of speech right? Because Rossi quite LITERALLY threw Marquez under a vehicle! Lorenzo was courageous and showed the kind of balls most of us need, in the face of such tyrannical control Rossi has over the sport, it's spectators, and Race Direction itself! 'Triumph of evil if good men do nothing etc.'

So you were disgusted with Lorenzo. Ok, I'd love to hear your feeling on Rossi's act of violence. If you were "disgusted " with Lorenzo pointing out the not-so-harsh penalty, then you must have been in ecstasy when Rossi turned his bike into a weapon.

Now that I've got the opinionated part out of the way: .... YOU and everyone who shares your insane opinion.

Stop acting like Rossi hit MM at 200mph down the straight causing MM to high side and get severely hurt for christ sakes. Yeah, Rossi put him off his line and caused him to crash. I agree that it was lame what he did.

"An act of violence" Dude give me a ....... break! Have you looked back at how MM has taken out multiple people during his career?

That is my opinion. Hope you telling me ".... YOU" made you feel better about yourself!!

At this point I would say something about them all looking the same, but that would be a racist, stereotypical and hateful statement, and we all know this site is way above that.. So I will just correct my statement to "Godzilla says".

That would be Godzirra

Fair enough, I retract the ".... you" part. My apologies. I over reacted. I edited my post.

40mph is more than ample to cause serious bodily harm. People become paralyzed at 5mph. So get yourself educated about what constitutes a dangerous predicament caused by a flagrant act of violence, on a hot track, with other riders on the field. That when distracted could have target fixed or otherwise experienced some unpredictable occurrence and ran Marc over causing death. Oh you didn't think it through that far did you? Have you considered why they're so much run off there? Because it's an impact zone. Guess what happens at impact zones? The more the runoff indicates that a potential crash arrived at greater speed.

My issue that I took up with you is this notion that when someone sees an injustice that they should just keep quiet about it. Even if they stand to gain something from it. This annoyed me. The ".... you" part was mockery for the way you signed off that post. But, I retract.

( crashes that either Marcos or Rosy have had in the past are absolutely irrelevant)

Anyway, I read ReddiWhip ' s take on it, and frankly he's moved me to see the point.

You are correct. It happened to Michael Schumacher and you were also probably dropped on your head as a baby hence your ........ posts. Since this incident has consumed your entire life at the moment and you're trying so hard to ram your opinion down everyone's throat, what do you think an appropriate punishment should be for VR? Race ban? Licence suspension? Jail time since you've called him a 'criminal'?

An observation I've made, the higher the post count the bigger the ...... It's usually pretty accurate.

Really, he was only going 5mph? Dang that sucks. I knew it was a ski accident, but didn't know all of the details.

Actually, I'm not sure if I was dropped as a baby, but if I was it would certainly explain a lot. Maybe that's where I got my compulsive behavior. It has consumed me, no doubt. Also this mobile app I got notifies me, and it's like that experiment where the mouse goes for the treat, that's me. I don't know, you might be on to something there. I'm not that bright as you have pointed out.

I already mentioned it like a thousand times, again that compulsive thing, etc. But VR should have been black flagged, then at least a few races bans. I really do believe had it been anyone else the hammer would have dropped.

Well if your observation is correct, I'm not sure why you would engage a .......

I'm engaging you for that reason.

Black flagged and a few races ban. MM crashed into him and he couldn't hold on and fell. I dunno, I thought anyone posting on a motogp forum almost 10x a day for many years straight would want to see it go down to the wire. What does a black flag/race ban achieve other than an anti climax to a great season and pissing off tens of millions of fans everywhere who want to see the title decided on the track and not by some official in a white motgp shirt. As a Canadian taxpayer, my pension is heavily invested in this show. Obviously, you prefer the title to be decided in the stewards room rather than see it go down to the wire. Besides, how else to boost your post count if VR was banned for Valencia?

They should .... can him for simply not being able to beat MM. Why pay the guy top money when his best isn't good enough and he offers nothing else to the team. You can also tell the guy is a diva crybaby by the way he behaves himself, that press conference was disturbing compared to the way Pedrosa handled himself. Yamaha doesn't need the grid pariah, he needs them.
Let him go to any other team to not win while you start pushing younger talent and still retain the top draw rider for sponsorship $$$. Jlo knows this is it, MM showed him at PI what next year will look like so now he has to do anything to get this championship, including not earning it on the track. "Disqualify Rossi so I can be champion", lol, what a ....... ..... for even thinking something so ridiculous and forgetting this is a business that allows him the luxury to ride a motorcycle professionally. We are the customers jlo, and we don't want to see you win the championship like that. We also don't want to see little MM disturbing the championship, Rossi and jlo had a history and it should have been allowed to play itself out, it will now end up being the most ...... up year ever and this isn't the kind of crap people want to pay good money for.
Repsol also need to be put in their place just like the manufacturers were, know your place and stfu. The sport will live on because we want to watch it, not because you have more money than us. ....... Spaniards are some cry babies.

Well I'll be ....... So Vale slowed down, looked at him 3 times & ran him near off the track but MM ran into Vale huh? Yeah that sounds right. NOT.
So are you saying rider safety is irrelevant because we want to see the championship go down to the wire? I guess it's no holds barred on rules now then?
He got off lightly under the circumstances. Not sure others in the field would have been granted the same consideration. I understand his frustration at MM engaging him when he wanted to set out after Lorenzo. But what he did was way out of line.

I am actually happy for whoever performs best over the course of the whole season to win whether or not there is a last race showdown, and that artificially producing last race or last lap showdowns as is common with modern motorsports cheapens such motorsports. I also think the rules, unwritten or otherwise, should be the same for all races. As I said in another post, Jorge clearly has no expectation similar to Rossi's concerning other riders not being allowed to race him.

The extent of Jorge's grievance should be the 3 points of Rossi's margin that was potentially maintained by MM being taken out, but I doubt there is any mechanism for just subtracting those points.

I was actually OK with the decision being made post race, and I don't know the rules well enough to know what the penalty should have been. The approach taken was different to when Simoncelli was given the drive through, so it could be argued there was inconsistency.
