When it comes to Lorenzo's pace versus Rossi; we need to be looking at Rossi, not Lorenzo.

You see, if Rossi is riding 100% and Lorenzo is this close (finishing zero point zero nothing behind the 46 consistently)... well, then the Pride just may have a new Alpha Male very soon. However, if Rossi is able to raise his game yet again, well, then we should just move his name above Ago's in the last couple spots because he's on his way.

Lorenzo is only going to get faster and smarter.

The real question is whether Rossi can.

And the beneficiaries are us, the fans, who get to see how the greatest motorcycle racer of all time plays out the final part of his career in front of our eyes instead of reading about it in a book.

Rossi's got Lorenzo's number, that's all there is to it. Lorenzo is the one that needs to step up his game if he wants to come out on top. Lorenzo pushes, Rossi answers..... Rossi pushes, Lorenzo has no answers. Rossi may only be winning by a slight margin, but that's the difference between a winner and a loser.

Again as I've said before... I see braking as Jorge's weak spot, not that it's THAT bad... but if you continue to dice it up with the likes of Rossi, braking is what's gonna make or break you.

First of all congrats to Rossi and Lorenzo - a class above at the moment. Good ride by Dani as well.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SuperShinya56 @ Jul 20 2009, 03:59 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Look at Stoner...... again showing the cameras that the bike is to blame and not him. Did he really need to look the bike and tires up and down like that? Seriously, it's getting old.

Some of you ....... clowns need to get a grip. So, apparently Stoner isn't even allowed to look at his bike after a race now or you ......... call it a whinge.

Was there a lapped rider in the last corner? Talmaschi? Could he have blocked a last lap pass by Lorenzo? Was he close enough anyway?

Either way, great race!

Another great race, it looks like that finally close racing is back

Rossi: Just showed once again hi is the GOAT!!!!
Lorenzo:Another Excellent ride, he will get Rossi one day!!!!!
Pedrosa:Great comeback after injuries and he has changed alot as well he seems very happy in his interviews, it looks like he enjoying himself.Carry on good work!!!!!!
Stoner:Gutsy ride did well to lead the race for few laps, but do not count him out yet once he sort his head he will be back!!!!!!!!!

As far as Hayden concern he could have done with out going wide on first corner which abviously wasn't his fault.Another fifth place was on the cards for him in this race!!!!!!!

Roll on donington can't wait.

Rossi 101 and 23 to go!!! Top Podium finisher close to having it in the bag!!!
<

(I think Agostini call them 123 and considers a 750 win or something like that).

that would have to be finishing on the podium in all of the races to follow and then plus 15 of next season

Grown ups, please remember my post may contain traces of "tongue" and "cheek."

Australians, look up humour on Google, any references to Paul Hogan are red herrings, as are any other references to any other Australian "comedians." To understand humour, please look up Frankie Boyle, Billy Connolly, Vic Reeves or Frank Skinner. If you want to try American Humour, then check out Tim Allen or Mike Myers.
That's ok - we don't have to live anywhere near England here.

I'm hardly gonna cry girlfirend, Rossi kicked Freddies arse today, as Tom's hero Schwantz would say, he "fell to bits like a cheap watch." Again.

Shame he didn't win 250 and 500 titles in a year like his namesake did before losing it.

Mmmmm what bait should I use today? Fly or Maggots? Probably shrimps and Fosters.

You have made no comment about yamaha obviously giving rossi a bike which is faster than lorenzo's; it's a disgrace

"Stoner laments bike problems" 20/07/2009 12:14 PM

Australian MotoGP rider Casey Stoner was left ruing a problem with the rear of his bike after he finished in fourth place at the German GP.

Stoner led the race early on, but couldn't maintain his pace as Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa all finished ahead of him.

The 2007 world champion has been battling anaemia and gastritis in recent weeks, but was still happy with his performance and believes he could have challenged the leaders had he not suffered the problem to his bike.

"All in all with the way things have been going lately I'm happy with today's race because it's the first time in a while I feel I've been really involved and I think if it wasn't for that problem with the rear I may have been able to dig deep and given Valentino, Jorge and Dani something to think about at the end," he said.

"I wasn't too confident at the start of the race because we were losing ground and my feeling with the bike wasn't great but it quickly improved so we decided to hit the front as soon as possible - if nothing else just to hold everybody up and stay in there with a shout."

"I started to lose the front end a few times so I decided to back off a bit. That allowed Valentino, Jorge and Dani to come past but then, as the fuel load lightened, the front fell more secure and I was able to pick up the pace again."

"Dani came up with an unbelievable lap that was about half a second quicker than any of his others. After he passed me I tried to push and stay with him but I actually lost the rear at the bottom of the hill and had to let off the brakes, which almost forced me to run into the gravel."

sportal.com.au soak soak.waaah.

that page takes some loading, maybe there servers buckling under the load

next time he should just say "i had a perfect race, i raced perfect, bike was perfect, setup perfect, tires perfect" and people would still complain that he is complaining, becuase he mentioned himself before the bike.
