So now we're at the point where if a sportsman at the top of the sport is disappointed not to win, him congratulating the winner is and empty gesture? Damn, there's a lot of disingenuous people in the world of sports in this world.

I'll take that hug as genuine. Keep in mind last year after Dani beat him he went behind closed doors to tongue lash him. Genuine? But frankly, you can't fault anybody for questioning VRs authenticity, after all this is the guy that walked in to a garage to say "sorry" with helmet on and 50 cameras in tow. For an incident that the Zarco's Race Direction would have penalized. Not to mention the back handed compliments that he's good at giving that seem to go unnoticed our friend Vudu and company x10000. Les you forget, the guy he's hugging in that pic he compared to Marquez, which triggered Pedrosa to bust out laughing in the most sarcastic way. The laugh was a middle finger to Rossi’s comparison but it seems nobody noticed it. So yeah, it's sometimes hard to gauge VRs genuineness.

Different day, month, year, track, temperature, air pressure, humidity, finishing order, Rossi's helmet design, fans, tyre manufacturer, winglets etc.

A rider not in contention for the title was fastest and best on the day and won the race, relegating the closest challenger to the points leader to second while the points leader finished 4th.

The points leader seemed pretty grateful on this occasion his rival was relegated to second so that he kept 5 points of his lead, so admittedly that was a difference, but perhaps not one that makes Rossi's attitude and conspiracy theory in regard to PI 2015 any more reasonable.

You're talking about Aragon? This is new info to me, any evidence. His quote about Dani seemed like a joke, the same he did after this race, again enforcing this theory.

2011 Jerez, well no way to know whether that was genuine and he felt so bad he couldn't wait to apologize or a stunt. I personally feel even with helmet off and genuine apology AND Stoner accepting it, it would've made him look worse than apologizing later with no or limited amount of cameras. So from my standpoint, either a mistake due to lack of thought or a miscalculation.

The rest of your post is just extremely biased conjecture and rubbish.

Here's some more "rubbish and conjecture"...

"Valentino Rossi was all smiles in Parc Ferme and the post-race press conference in Aragon, but after the cameras were turned off the Italian went and found Pedrosa to ask about his riding during the race."

Isn't it funny how the reporter frames it exactly the way I did regarding the genuineness of Rossi and parc ferme? Anyway here's some more.

"Once the race was over and both riders had partaken in the press conference following the podium celebrations, Spanish newspaper El Pais say that Rossi then went into the pit of Pedrosa to ask him why he had been riding so aggressively. The paper says that Rossi felt a sense of entitlement and was upset at the risks Pedrosa was running as he had nothing to lose.

It goes on to say that Rossi had done the same thing with Marquez in Phillip Island. We all know what Rossi thought of the events by Malaysia, but El Pais say his theory started way early. They write Rossi crashed a party that Honda was having to celebrate Marquez’ win to confront him, asking him why he rode like he did, and questioned why he wanted Lorenzo to win the World Championship."

That's exactly what it is. There's no proof any of that ever happened.

There's no proof we landed on the moon either.

Edit to add

I'm glad you're here though to defend Lorenzo. Rossi says Lorenzo called him a "dirty" rider. But that's not the words he used. Because you know how you defended Rossi's words and not his meaning the other day, right?

Just like the PI 2015 conspiracy.

Wrong. Rossi's comments on PI 2015 are on record. The PI 2015 events aren't from an unknown magazine source.

You disagree with Rossi's comments, but his feelings and statements were all very real.

Nothing surfacing until after Sepang, when Spanish El Pais suddenly gets hold of this information. Sorry, seems unlikely, so as is the habit around here I'll just completely disregard it.

Well Lorenzo did say that no one passes like Rossi when it came down to the topic of the controversial pass for the lead at Misano. That's about a 1/10th of the stretch you did when making your conclusions about Rossi calling Danis pass Marquezesque.

The events are real. The conspiracy theory about them is complete conjecture, which is the whole problem.

That Rossi may have approached Pedrosa was reported by several other sources, including David Emmett. To what end this was is certainly conjecture unless Pedrosa or Rossi go on the direct public record themselves which I would consider unlikely in the short term, but conjecture hardly more to be condemned than accusing a rider or riders of cheating to the world press at large with no evidence I wouldn't have thought.

Quote what Rossi said when he summoned the name Marquez. Then make your case it wasn't a comparison.

You admitted you hadn't even heard about this significant event until I mention it, then provided you a reporter's quote and link. Your solution is to "completely disregard it"; not surprising how you've formed opinions on the matter, aided by ignorance and wonton refusal to accept otherwise. No wonder Rossi was able to effectively sell Marquez was a cheater and he (Rossi) was victimized. You're willing to buy it sight unseen.

I'm told psychotic people's feelings (despite intangible) are also "real", that doesn't stop making them crazy. Either Rossi's paranoia lead him believe he was being robbed (not uncommon for a sleep deprived person) or like Scott Jones GP reporter said, Rossi made this .... up to deflect from his poor pace. I'm not sure which I believe, both are very plausible.

And if I do you promise to apply the same standard to Rossi calling ........ on him for a misquote? Oh I'm gonna love how you weasel out of this one.

You 99% poopoo journo's till one comes up with a tale of dastardly doings by Mr Rossi, the truth of the matter is that Spanish and Italian journo's routinely invent and print controversy about the opposing national rider. When it was MM/JL in 2013 there were not many stories at all.
