Wow. Championship gets even closer. Pecco had nothing during the sprint. For the second season in a row, weird things are happening at the front, the difference is that Martin has not lost his edge. Pecco is fading, but I guess he has tomorrow. Pressure makes diamonds. Martin is handling the pressure much better at the moment.

The mask of sanity is starting to slip a bit in MotoGP. The competitors are tired from all of these races and events. Bez bumping his bike on the rear wheel of Pol during practice starts. Aleix slapping Frankie while they were both still moving on a hot track. Supposedly, Aleix is out of the GP? Will his penalties roll foward?

What a bitching about that little slap of aleix towards morbidelli. I have a feeling the whole world is getting soft and stupid. I found it rather funny and playfully how he did it and nobody (but the woke arse oles) get offended by it.

I've read that Aleix might front despite the cracked tibia. If he does then he takes his 6 slot penalty even if he retires after a few laps. Olivera having a broken scapular is probably out for Valencia as well.

If Martin wins and Bagnaia is second there will only be 2 points in it going into Valencia

Mav staying true to form, looking good until he has to pass, then....nothing.
Yea, I was not happy about this.

I forget if it was the first or second session when Martin came in to get his second bike. He did not look well to me. By that I mean in addition to being frustrated and hot, he just did not look well to me from what little I could see with his helmet on. If there was something, he sure got over it.

I have a feeling the whole world is getting soft and stupid.
It is but you still can't be doing that on a hot track at the highest level. And what did Morbidelli actually do wrong? Was it because he dared to pass precious Aleix, the Aprilia wonder boy?

Gotta say, the Martin kid is starting to grow on me.
Same here and I kept thinking about him crashing out with a 3.5 (or whatever it was) second lead. With his struggles this weekend I was on the edge of my seat a bit.

Yes good race. Watched it this morning. The longer race tonight could be interesting, Pecco had speed as the race went on. If that presents in the longer race he will push Martin all the way.

I really admire the fighter in Martin. I just hope he doesn't get into a situation where his emotions get the better of him. He did throw some nice "punches" at Pecco though. It's almost as if he really....really.... wants this.

A week or so before, he was quoted as saying he wasn't really concentrating on the championship. If that was true then, I'd say the way he carved through to the front is good evidence that that's no longer the case.

Regardless of whether Martin takes the championship or not he has totally proved himself

Anyway we won't know from todays race who will be world champion even if either of them DNF

The narrow racing line makes passing much harder than at many tracks imo. I think that having late race pace is nowhere near as much of a help as it is at a lot of other tracks because of that.

If Martin has a good start, he'll be hard to beat, I reckon, unless he throws it down the road.

Pecco is very good on the brakes and seems to be able to pass as well as anyone in this era of aero, ride height and minimum tyre pressure, but true it could be hard. We'll see. Looking forward to it.

Unless it's a real fight like
This no penalty is needed. In the end it's men full of testosterone racing each other and not a gender equality parade against toxic masculinity is it?

Man since you decided to double down I'll respond. Laying your hands on another person is not about "gender equality." I do agree that the world is soft and stupid but this isn't it. Allowing something like what Aleix did creates a slope of a downward spiral. It starts with a slap and ends with a fight. You cannot allow this behavior in motor sport or in regular day to day. You cannot put your hands on another person even if what you did, did not harm the other person. Punishment in society and especially on a race track must be handed down. To think getting in a riders way is something that should cause a punishment but not laying your hands on another rider is asinine. Aleix kids saw this. Future motogp riders saw this. You cannot ok this behavior now or in the past. Stoner was punished for it before this "soft and stupid" world we live in. This will always be punished. IMO he got off light. Not as light as Pecco for drunk driving and crashing a car but still an example needs to be made of certain behaviors. Hitting another rider on track is a prime example of toxic masculinity. This will and never has passed as acceptable behavior.

I don't see what "toxic masculinity" has to do with anything. These guys depend on each other to behave in a safe fashion while on the track. An annoyed tap on the arm between two young men (yes, that does sound a little gay LOL) I don't think is that big a deal. It's making a mountain over a molehill. To my way of thinking, the only way this thing should have resulted in a fine, would be if the rider being struck were to state that he felt endangered by the action. I've seen so much worse in Superbike racing and Flat Track racing and nobody freaked out about it. I say, if the "victim" were to whine about it to the powers that be, he would be laughed at by all the other riders. What did the stewards do when ....... Rossi pulled that insane move at Laguna Seca? Nothing. And what about when he kicked Marquez? Yet all this fuss about a wimpy punch on the arm. Really?

If I was Ayumu there'd be two broken jaws in the Leopard box tonight. Masia is a coward and an ........
Not good to watch at all! Masia running him wide was bad enough but as they were both fighting for the championship it was sort of tolerable but his team mates shenanigans went way over the line. Obviously pre planned between the Leopard riders but was the team party to it? There could and should be consequences!

Or it could lead to.....oh I don't know.......maybe a hot-headed rider reaching over and giving a good tug on another rider's brake lever at speed? Oh wait............I think we've already seen that one.
