As I have said, you are really RUBBISH at this.

Do you think rossi's last win (for yamaha or anyone else) in 2010 was also reflective of him not trying in the other races after his comeback from the broken leg? I would look for the positives in both wins, and I have to say I didn't think stoner could replicate valentino's amazing feat of winning so soon after a significant injury. I think both were on favoured tracks for them and with track configurations which didn't stress the respective injuries as much as other tracks. No doubt adrenaline can allow amazing feats when there is a chance of victory as well.

I guess stoner also showed what a ..... he was by riding to 4th in the indianapolis motogp race, having been 3rd most of the way till his pain relief/pain tolerance ran out, on the week-end of his injury.

I think JKD was trying to be witty.

Trying.

You thought the Mike sign was good, then? Time to stop listening to that kiddy-punk, Goatboy.
I doubt Stoner even gives a .... about Hailwood. He's only interested in himself.

I listen to what I enjoy, I don't take any notice of labels.

I seem to recall a certain t-shirt he wore at motegi in 2007, but I guess events which have actually transpired shouldn't be allowed to interfere with what you know to be obviously the truth. Similarly it obviously remains true that the 2007 championship was entirely down to the ducati as those of your ilk contended at the time, even though your man vale has said (today actually) that he still doesn't understand how stoner could ride the thing when nobody else can or could.

New story about Caseys injury.

Breaking news from Philip Island Australia

They are calling it the miracle down under. Millions of people laid witness today to what can only be called a modern medical miracle.

Australian motorcycle racer Casey Stoner finished in first place in a Motogp race at his home track of Philip Island. What made this win so special is that just 7 days ago he was so hobbled by an ankle injury that it left him incapable of competing for a podium spot in the race.

Doctors are baffled as to how a recovery could occur so quickly. The injury occured over 2 months ago so any difference in his condition between weeks 7 and 8 should be incremental. If he was hindered last week then surely this week his could not have fully recovered but Stoners proved all medical science wrong and decimated his opponets.

Some outside of Australia are saying that Stoner clearly is using the injury as an excuse to ride out the end of his contract without giving it his all. Winning Philip Island was to prove to his detractors that he could win if only he tried and to please his home fans.

Experts have stated that he has been known to fake illnesses and manufacture slights to him by his opponets. He claims to abhor the WWF type fakery the sport has become but others are quick to point out that he has made a full career out of manufacturing drama and injury.

Australians on the other hand have all fallen into lock step and rallyed behind Stoner. Some have said his teeth are so large and white that when the sun reflects off of them they are put into a blinding trance and are slaves to his will.

Virtually every Australian citizen has fallen under this Stoner trance. Rumor has it there is one citizen who dwells in Tweed Valley that is immune to this malady but that is only because of the copious amounts of narcotics he is taking.

After todays spectacular win Stoner was seen in Park Ferme with his retired groupie companion and his glowing daughter.

When asked about his rapid recovery from last week in Malaysia he answered that "this place is magical"

Thousands of sick people from around the globe have now descended upon Philip Island in hopes of a miraclous cure.

Tent cities have been erected by the Australian government to house all these refugees.

Airports are flooded with the diseased and terminally ill. Traffic has come to a standstill.

One Aussie citizen who suffers from bullshititus has declined to make the trek. He feels that seeing this magnificent once in a lifetime event would not be worth sitting in traffic for.

What remains to be seen is if this miracle will have a lasting and permanant affect. In another weeks time Stoner will test his injury in Valencia Spain. Many feel that the miracle will suddenly go away as quickly as it appeared.

Man that was a hoot.

I think the first point is - we are supposed to toss .... at each other. There are roughly 10 million Australians who will pour beer on each other, arm wrestle etc over state of origin or Ford -v- Holden. We should revel in the jibe!

Second point is, I guts down opiates like a 10 dollar whore. I am the ultimate (but very legal) stoner.

Sensational post, but whatever a bopper says about Stoner is wrong, he is our Alfred. E Neuman buck toothed hero and he kicked arse. Championships are good but tell me which rider there wouldn't have given his left nut for the bragging right of ending Casey's run at Phillip Island.

Open the pod bay doors Hal. Can't let you do that Dave...Mission complete Houston.

Great quote Johnny, although personally, I think this is more eveidence that Motogp is stage managed. Last week wee Spencer can hardly walk and yet at home he disappears after his team mate has the crappest crash in history at walking pace.

It's a fix, for gods sake even Bayliss once won a race.

I'm going back to Scottish Supersport racing.

This is fact and after going down there for myself, I have seen this miracle first hand. I waited in line all day to see if this really worked or not. The line appeared to be going into the bathroom. I asked if I get in the right line, dude said yes. So I waited and waited until finally I was close enough to see what was going on. Ant West and Casey Stoner were standing on urinals pissing on everyone. It was amazing people were throwing down crutches and people's callus were disappearing and everything. What a miracle!!

With Pedro out so early, we lost what could be a good battle for second. Super saiyan displayed another super performance at PI to make it 6 in a row. My money is on him for Valencia as well, the last race of the season and his carreer.

I'm not surprised Pedrosa bined it. In fact, when I saw him push like crazy from the beginning I was actually expecting him to lose it in the first couple laps, when the tires are not fully up to temp.

For all the tracks this one was the most likely for him to crash. PI is a tough one for midgets specially on the big bikes, here more than other tracks you need leverage on a bike to be able to load the tires and get some good grip. And also to stop the bike while changing direction. His diminutive stature means he already has issues in getting the tires up to temperature as quickly as the bigger riders, and at PI this problem gets worse. Hence my expecting him to crash when I saw him push so hard so early.

He didn't lose anything though. He was never going to win the title, not after Misano. He should have a better chance next year (that is, if Dorna doesn't change the tires again - or some other late rule change - in a view to .... Honda).

This season was more of a confidence (re)building for him, with no injuries for the first time in his entire motogp carreer. How many years already? I lost count.

well you kinda validated my point re Dr No's statement.

Fair enough, I overlooked that you were replying to a dig at rossi, and seeing that is basically what I do in regard to stoner I am in no position to take you to task.

Great ride Casey. I"ll miss watchin' ya thrash that bike.

Lorenzo deserved the title, no doubt about it. I think he was happy just to ride behind Pedro in a lot of those races towards the end of the season.

Pedro had a good season. But never has that bit extra when needed. Sure, he has won races. But when it counts (like on Sunday), he always cracks. Next year will be his last chance, but only if Honda has a machine that is far superior to what Jorge is on.

Well don't worry, post Valencia I will post a proper summing up. & I don't think it will be too far away from some of the things you have already stated.
