Without Ducati there would be no MotoGP as we know it !

For Ducati it is a passion, that is the difference !

You could substitue the word Ducati for such things as specific brands of product, engine configurations, riders, any number you wish to place that were at one point a focal aspect of teh sport - many have been obsoleted or removed yet the sport continues.

I woudl also question that the passion remains in the same way it was when they started. That passion became obsession and that obsession has become domination and history has shown that domination is not always the ideal end result

Ironically their domination of having 20 really good bikes on the grid hurts them. Ducati satellite teams take more points away from pecker bagnia than all the other manufacturers combined.

Ducati couldn't beat Marquez and they couldn't hire Marquez so they spent a bunch of money on a medieval ride-height system and aerodynamics.

In World Superbike Ducati are exploiting the technical regulations, as they did during the 750cc era, and they are exploiting the homologation system, like Honda did during the 750cc era.

There is no passion left in Bologna. This is just about winning to keep VW happy. I'm not convinced they care at all what happens to Superbike or MotoGP.

I really dont get this Ducati domination narrative. Maybe after they win 3 titles in a row , we can talk about domination.

Moto GP is seeing a rise in popularity in part because of the rise of F1. Now is not the time to be bailing out of a prestigious international series. Moto GP really is F1 on 2 wheels. Except the racing is better.

Honda found out the hard way when it bailed on F1 in 2020. And had already decided to come back.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see another MFG'er enter the series in the next couple years. Or someone with some big bucks that wanted a spot on the grid.

It is very obvious the bike is dominate,. Its their crop of riders who are not. Pecker is inconsistent. Every third races or so he will chuck his ducati down the road on his own. According to him this is no fault of his own, not sure what that means but it's his story. A. Marq is consistently qualifying 10 places better or more. Running near the front until he or someone else ends his gp. If Marc Fabio and possibly Bender rode for ducati they would be unbeatable. The ducati makes average riders look far better than they are. Even look at how close Dovi came to winning the title a couple times against Marc. The ducati isn't the problem their riders are.

You are aware honda is still in f1 right? And dominating under the redbull badge.

They've won the constructors championship 3 years in a row, and they are currently leading KTM by 93 points. Ducati has a 2.5 event lead, after 6 events of competition.

In 2022, Ducati won the constructor's championship by 192 points. They won by 7.5 events in a 20 event season.

This isn't a narrative. Ducati are blowing away the competition because they dragged the sport down a dead-end, and no one can chase them because they know the formula won't live beyond 2026.

Of course I know. But they aren't technically. The engine in the RB is called an RBPT. Not a Honda. It will officially not be a Honda at all in 2024/25. And Honda will re-enter F1 with the new 2026 engine formula with Aston Martin.

Marc doesn't care about bonuses he cares about wins. Sachsenring is a unique track and Marc is the king of it. He will be on the front 2 rows unless he is unable to put down a lap in q2 for whatever reason. He will be there fighting for the win. The bigger question is will his bike be able to do the same.
Rin's has shown that when all the ducks are in a line that a win on the Honda is possible
