MotoGP: 2016 Round 02 - Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina (SPOILERS)

These press conferences are getting stupid. Trying to ruffle feathers from the first question. I have a feeling the first question, they were hoping VR said his worst moment was Valencia last year, so they could open all of this .... open again. Also, as a fan of VR, when asked about the fans booing, he should have said something other than "I don't know" :smh:

This is the 2016 season. Let's worry about it, and not the soap opera that was last season.

Exactly, he instigated the entire thing when he threw his toys out of the pram. But agreed, lets talk about 2016

What race was it last year when he said that the booers were not his real fans? At the least, he should have reiterated that. All this off the track ........ is ....... .........

I predict Cal will fall three times. FP1, Q1, and lap 12. He will blame the tire.

We should start a Cal Cuntslow Crashlow prediction thread. Make it a sticky. Predict what lap he will Crashlow. Bonus points for predicting what he will blame. (Though I think he preemptively blamed "moving" [quitting] to Honda from Ducati "at the wrong time".)

JKD, you think you can write up such a thread, though I'd like to take credit, afterall, it was your idea.

Pre-event press conferences: first of all, it seems every journalists comes to these unprepared. I swear it's like when the announcement is made to open the floor to questions, they're all caught by surprise. After the awkward moments of silence where everybody is looking at each other in confusion to see what genius will be the first to think of a question, the .... they ask is face palm worthy. Its brutal to watch such incompetence. The only good questions were asked by a chick journalists who asked VR and MM to recap the crash incident from last year and how that may have affected their relationship. Neither bit. And Gavin Emmett, who asked the rider's opinion on the booing at Qatar. To which JLO answered, I don't know what we did wrong to deserved the booing, 'we' have gone about our business (he included Marquez) in a professional way, putting in maximum effort wilst risking our lives in the process to deliver a good race. Marquez said, "he is not stupid" he understands booing being a soccer fan, and added all he can do is try to perform well. VR took a knownothing approach, saying "Boing, i don't know anything."

I think that was after PI, when half of Italy was angry with Andrea Ianonne.
That wasn’t about booing, more about Boppers attacking Iannone on social media.

From the press conference, I don't think Rossi has a problem with people booing as long as the right people are being booed. That of course means Marquez and Lorenzo. Maybe Valentino didn't know they got booed because he was sitting inside the pit area. I hope Marquez and Lorenzo get booed every race on the podium this way wilst Rossi is in the garage.

I actually thought that chick's question was pretty stupid. Why bring that .... up again? we all know the relationship between VR and MM has been deteriorated. Nothing better to ask as a JOURNALIST??
As for booing, VR's answer sounded almost bitter that he wasn't there on the podium, and obviously he still hasn't (probably never) got over last season.

Do it JKD. May I request that it play like the game clue.

Week 2 I choose Professor Buttflow lap 12 with a tire malfunction.

The riders have obviously been warned to watch what they say to the baiting journalist. As we predicted, with the new gag order in place, press conferences will be useless. I did notice that Rossi seems to be a little isolated from the other riders instead of standing around with them shooting the .... before the conference began.

He did come in last second with his shades on, so he didn't have to talk to anyone.

It's time for him to grow the .... up.

My guess is while none of them will ever say it, most of them probably know he likes to create drama. It's off-putting to people, and they probably don't want to get involved with his .........

I can't imagine what it must feel like to have the yellow army against you when you make their god appear like a mere mortal. It must make those victories even more sweeter though.

Maybe his new nickname should be the witch doctor, a false deity conning his yellow clad, adoring subjects that he really is the God of MotoGP? LOL

It must really hurt him when these upstarts not worthy of licking his boots, show him up in front of them as they take away all the titles that are rightfully his, to take as he pleases in his quest to overtake Agostinis record.

What are you talking about? You meant, those record crowds were cheering for a false deity at Goodwood?

I don't think anyone can match Ago's records in true sense. E.g., no one has balls in MotoGP to race at Isle of Man :p
I've been there twice - to win a race would be such a monumental achievement let alone bagging a couple of them!
