You're right Gaz, he kicked out at someone's front wheel, but didn't make contact.

Good to get some chat with you and Levi too.:)

The only bike that I distinctly recall as being kicked was a Suzuki which was kicked by Hopkins .............. still piss myself laughing at that

How about just a pinch more drama to this party..

Pic surfacing of Jlo passed on a yellow flag lol

Check out @CormacGP's Tweet: https://twitter.com/CormacGP/status/658209502383071232

Not trying to piss on any parade here but would need to see a different angle of the video as where the yellow is waved (as opposed to stationery), JL seems to already be in front.

It may also explain why JL was in race control

It wasn't just one kick either was it, Hopper went full on Jackie Chan on the piece of crap.

I genuinely think Rossi has done more damage to his credibility this weekend than in two years on the Duck. After his last two seasons, he has re established himself as a credible racer, he now looks like he's losing it. Sad really.

oh definitely....and that may be why Rossi didnt get DQ'd...though rossi kicked out with his knee MM could have back off just before that instead of trying to ram rossi out the way...
if both riders had been less hot headed and rossi had kicked out then yes a DQ would have been the right call...

Funny how so many on here have been calling MM Murder Marc for a very long time....and when it comes down to a fight with Rossi they call Marc's riding as hard not dangerous as those same people have said many many times.....I guess it just a matter of how MM is trying to murder...

Marc was Murder Marc long before he made the premier class. I think he's a .... head and a dangerous rider. I've mentioned that before. He's insanely talented but equal part fool.

On Thursday Rossi picked a fight with the only guy on the grid who is faster, has nothing to lose and is seemingly afraid of nothing. Really poor choice for Rossi. After selecting the wrong rider to challenge, Rossi got more than he could handle. Every ounce or real estate was being contested. I think Marc is/has been dangerous in the past but I though his passes tonight were largely clean. Could he have given more ground and gained the position on the long straights? I think so but Rossi invited and invented this battle on Thursday before the leathers were even offloaded from the trucks.

Rossi needs to speak less (admit that he can no longer intimidate his opponents) and win more. Simple as that. The GOAT should have the ability in spades to accomplish that.

Well even with all the mind games Rossi has played throughout his career, he has never tried to hold up another rider that was in contention for the championship when he wasn't in contention himself. He didn't try to hold up Stoner or Lorenzo.

New to the forums so hello all. Well what a race what a season so much more entertainment than f1 lol.

Huge rossi fan but i think today wow just totally unexpected. Marquez not an innocent man either in all this. Its a shame such antics was played out really. Just abit annoyed as rossi by the looks of it has just kicked himself hard in the face and cost himself massively.

One race to go but not going to be played out how everyone wanted.

An interesting point/comment I saw on another forum (will paraphrase it a little here)

'Isn't it funny that after years of people saying that he is the master of all mind games, it is his behaviour that clearly shows that Marquez and Lorenzo are inside his head'

Had not looked at it that way and I am not one for the mind game BS but there would seem to be a lot of credible evidence to suggest that Rossi was far to focussed on Marquez which does bring the thought to mind

Welcome! As you can see, we're short on opinions here.

(54 pages). This has at least another 20 to go.

No, he didn't try to hold Lorenzo up but he did indeed near force/cause Lorenzo to crash at Motegi in the year that Lorenzo won his first WC (the year Rossi broke his leg)

JL only had to finish top 5 or 6 and so was riding safely and conservatively only for VR to shove the bike in underneath on a left bend, causing contact and forcing Lorenzo wide. JL did not crash and maintained enough points to with the WC

VR is no saint, let us not start thing that there may not be skeletons in his closet

So Rossi starts last. How far does everyone think he can climb? I think he can get 6th. However 5th is not impossible given the chances of a Ducati crashing, breaking, or wearing out the tires. This means Jorge needs 2nd. With MM alive and breathing, Dani on form, that is tough...

As I said , there were 2 riders out who have been given reason to believe ordinary rules don't apply to them, although I would only call this incident and the Gibernau last corner thing dirty on Valentino's part, as opposed to many more from MM. I don't recall anything actually dirty from MM in this race, his "sin" is apparently the supposition that he could have pulled away and didn't; if so, Rossi has been actually praised for "putting on a good show" forbdoingbthis in the past as has been pointed out.

Agree!

You're right, Rossi is no saint. Neither is Marquez.
