No doubt. Think what could've happened had it been his head that made contact with the barrier. Nasty but could have been a lot worse.

In other news, Cal finished the race!

Tires indeed, even my wife said Jorge's going to crash or burn his tires in the early laps.

Rossi rode a perfect race under pressure, his front was farcked too. And yet again he beat Jorge in changing conditions. Dani was great, and strangely enough he will have more influence over the title than Marc.

So now it's luck, great. Them riggers too clumsy, uh? Better to count on Zeus for poor Rossi... :)

Skill. Luck. Skill. Luck.
Skill. Luck. Skill. Luck
Skill. Skill. Luck. Luck.
Luck. Skill. Luck. Luck.
....
All the permutations.
Still 2 Yamahas, 2 Hondas.

(but pity Iannone binned it. Those pirate Ducatis, eh?)
(still wincing at Pol's crash. ....... armco at a track)

Is it my imagination or does it seem like Dani has gradually improved since getting rid of Puig?

I think it's got more to do with him recovering from a .... year. Wasn't too long ago that we righlty perceived him to be on the same level as the top3 ,maybe minus the wheel to wheel battle. He's improved that tho

Thus far - best season since 2007. Can't claim to read Rossi's mind - but can't help wondering if he was being cautious or being smart about not frying the front tire right away.

Marquez - played it safe.

Crutchlow - didn't crash!

Dani - totally heroic. Great stuff.

Get rid of the bike cams. We need helmet cams. The look on Lorenzo's face when Dani passed him would have been worth $100.00 to see. The look on his face when Rossi passed him: Priceless.

What the propagandist said. If you want to know the value of Puig, look no further than Jack Miller. He is transforming himself (at last) from a spoilt fat rich layabout into a genuine MotoGP racer. Because Puig is kicking his arse and getting the little ...... out of bed and into the gym. He may finally start showing his talent, of which he has bucket loads.

Didn't know about that. Interesting. I guess I read too much into watching Dani in interviews. He seems so much less like the stormy, embattled little midget of earlier years. He's starting to look like an adult and much more self assured. Like I said, I could just be reading too much into what I see in interviews.

Good to know about Miller. I'd heard so much about him and seen so little to justify it.

I wonder if the VR fans will acknowledge this has got to be the luckiest ever title. Every single thing that could go right for VR and wrong for the contenders has happened.

WTF? I'm pretty sure they're all racing on the same circuit in the same conditions so luck got .... all to do with it

Skill and Luck win titles only together. Never alone.
