MotoGP: 2015 Round 09 - GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland (SPOILERS)

FP4 and the Honda continues to embarrass....

Krop

This would seem to be a Honda track.

I think there is room for multiple factors to have affected MM this year. I think him over- riding against more competitive opposition, having over-ridden in the past and had some luck, and changes in this year's bike affecting his "feel" at the limit with this or at least his confidence improving with the most recent changes including reversion to the 2014 chassis are all simultaneously possible.

Don't normally do predictions but barring any weird stuff - I think this will likely be between Dani and MM. MM is due for a win but then so in Dani - and he does love this track.

Just a few GIF's found in other places.

Smith has a moment.

Pedrosa fires up at Crutchlow (ah the old days when this action would be called amongst the most dangerous to ever have been seen on a race track)

Risky prediction, going out on a limp, eh?

Oh, I get it, its because the RCV is such a dog, and you're thinking it will just continue its much documented decline. And the upside is, if MurderMac wins you can again claim he has 'evolved'.

Honda 1-2. Oh but wait, Crashslow was in 9th, surely Kropo can use his result to support why the RCV is shambolic.

"Impressive, the Honda doesn't look like it has any problems. They brake very late, they accelerate very soon." Jorge Lorenzo

In response to Jorge's assessment: "Jorge Lorenzo is spot on." Nicky Harris

Translation: 'The Honda is the worst factory bike this year, and it was probably the worse last year too.' Kropo

I just hope some day poor Marc can ride with both hands, it must really be hard to crush previous year's lap records with one arm shackled behind his back on a bike that obviously has gone to .....

Possible? Yes. But this wasn't the narrative was it? A few rounds ago is was the total and unmitigated collapse of the RCV. Nothing about all these other factors. Kropo, Oxley, Cameron, and Noyes had very detailed rationalizations as to why the RCV had declined to the point of being unridable. The three crash incidents were clearly rider error, but that was given little to no air time.

Allow me to refresh everyone's memory here:

Márquez has crashed out of two races, nearly crashing out of a third as well, and is 101 points down on his total after the same number of races last year. The Honda RC213V is being universally blamed for Márquez' decline, with a series of crashes by Cal Crutchlow, Scott Redding and Dani Pedrosa also being put down to an overloaded front end. The question on everyone's lips is, how did the RC213V go from being the best bike on the grid to being behind the Yamaha and the Ducati?

The supremacy of Márquez has masked a slow and steady decline of the RC213V, the bike losing its advantage over the past couple of seasons.

All this makes it obvious that Honda's poor start to the 2015 season has not come out of thin air. The performance of the RC213V has been in slow and gradual decline for the past eighteen months, at least, and perhaps longer. The utter dominance of Marc Márquez at the start of the 2014 season tricked us into believing the bike was unbeatable, while the truth was much more mixed. Márquez' success was not so much due to the brilliance of the RC213V, as to his own ability and a mixture of problems for his rivals. Kropo

Hahahaha, that's just awesome. Marc is so good WE got "tricked" into believing the Honda was brilliant, but all the while it was Marc who was the soooooo pretty and beautiful that we were blinded to the ...... RCV.

"While Honda voices, Nakamoto and Suppo, rear up and defend the engine, overruling the guys who ride the bikes, both riders continue to say, although quietly now, that the basic problem comes from the aggressive character of the engine.

Meanwhile, while the Honda spins, the Yamaha, with its softer initial power delivery, gets off the corner so well and accelerates so well because of this that the extra speed of the others is not enough to get them from apex to apex in less time along a straight. Yamaha never fell into the trap of matching Ducati top speed, revs and pure power. That was never the Yamaha way even in the two-stroke days…remember the Yamaha riders used to talk about "the Honda lane." Now Honda pull out into the Honda lane and Ducati are there…coming hard. If Ducati riders had lights they´d flash them…like on the autobahn when you think you a mphre pretty fast at 125 mph and suddenly you have a disco in your mirrors." Noyes

Ah, yeah, Nakamoto, what does he know, right? Maybe it was "Rob" who had a meeting with Nakamoto, and told him, hey man, forget about that Yamaha, Ducati is our real problem. We need to beat them on the straight!

I won't bother quoting Cameron, since Kropo is basically a rip off of his stuff. And Oxley, really, I need to quote him? Anyway, the point is, lets not all start forgetting these "experts" had pinpointed and nailed the problem EXCEPT of course of the very simple explanation that Marc's problems were down to ...... rider decisions and not exactly a ...... bike that has led to dropping points. He should have crashed out of Assess, which I would have loved, but as long as he gets away with that kind of ...., we will go back to forgetting what an ....... he is on the track. Man, that is the best, isn't it" I mean, when he crashes its the bikes fault, when he doesn't crash he is brilliant, and when he avoids torpedoing but crashes, we are wowed because of the skill he displayed in not torpedoing the rider in front of him whilst crashing. Its win win win situation all the time.

(Not arguing with u, just using your quote to rant.)

I am not arguing with you either, MM is obviously extremely fast but I am basically not a fan as you know, going back to the Willairot incident and in the absence of any evidence he has developed much more concern for fellow riders since then.

He does seem to be riding with more control at a pace competitive with the Yamaha riders on their 2015 bikes last race and so far this week-end though, so I don't think it is outrageous to suggest that the change back to the old chassis or other possible recent changes to the Honda have resulted in a bike which suits him better; of course it may involve the tracks suiting him and/or the Honda, or suiting the tyres which are best for him and/or the Honda, as well. This still gives the lie however to any contention that unlike any predecessor he is absolutely invincible and not dependent on anything extrinsic to him.

I think Dani will catch Rossi

And WTF is wrong with Dovi? He's obviously struggling but not really talking about it.

Honda circuit, no surprise, Honda 1-2 now.

Too bad Dani waited till now to make the move. What a little turd.

MM is too far down the road.

It looks like Lorenzo might be making a little time. I'd like to see that. Would make for an interesting finish.

Rossi is beast in the 4th sector.

Dani was holding a little in reserve and pulled the pin.

Is that about your poor capacity to comprehend American colloquialism? Or is it just another lame joke?

Never said it was a dog. Said it needed to be sorted out.
If I had a nickel for every straw man argument you
put forth I would be a rich man.
