LOL! Thanks, it seems like quite a different crowd here than the ones I met in the superbike sub. Should be fun!

Sbk threads are where the sane people hang out.  Well, mostly sane.

The GP website named her series as Moto3; don't know if that's the local designation of it. Considering that Spain is the not-so-unofficial feeder for the GP classes right now I thought that it was interesting that there are legitimate female talents coming up the order. People have gotten wildcards for less, and if she has the pace for the upcoming Spanish young guns then it might not be long before hers is a much more recognizable name. It was meant as a "one to watch" in place of all the usual discussion topic.

She races a Moto3. In CEV. Easy.

Ana Carrasco races a Moto3. In the World Championship. Easy.

I get your point, perhaps it could have been better written.

If Yamaha "Lorenzo" loses more ground to Honda here, the championship could turn into a rout barring injury. Might just be the defining moment for Yamaha's championship hopes

Good call. But in typical fashion, Rossi will probably do well, which will confound all calls of his competitiveness, alongside that of the Yamaha. Fuel for more speculation.

But then if he does badly, and JL does well....then the tale of how the factory Yamaha has been designed into a corner (a la the Ducati) will snowball.

Prediction: Based on last year's race.....a factory Honda will finsh just in front of a Sat Duke.

I feel the same.. Lorenzo was top notch this time last year.. End of year played it safe or dani really had his number.. Either way.. Better to put it down early if possible

Time for Rossi to put his balls on the line. The championship is not going to be yours - so it is the time to go for one last shot at glory. Put the fear and conservatism to one side for a weekend, pretend like it is 2006 and chop Marc, Dani and Yourgay like they are Max and Sete incarnate. Laugh to yourself in your helmet like a maniac as you do it. I'm sure that's what you did back in the day.

As much as I have grown tired of Rossi over the years, I will happily bow down in front of my tv should the planets align and he wins in Italy in front of the yellow worshippers one more time.

It's a shame that Dani is going to spoil the party...

I think with these conditions (wet fri,sat / dry sun) it's going to come down to setup and luck. I think Dovi will get his first podium for Ducati.

In The Hot Seat

Dani Pedrosa<span style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif;font-size:13px;background-color:rgb(254,254,254); -  While Pedrosa ended 2012 runner up to Lorenzo, last season closed on somewhat of a high for the Spanish rider as he surged to win after win. Had he started 2012 in the same form that he finished, the championship standing may have looked quite different.

I am always surprised when I read things like this talking about Pedrosa's great form in the second half of last year. I don't think he displayed great form at all. He rode as he had always rode. He simply had an incredibly dominant Honda that had overcome it's handling problems. By Indianapolis last year, Stoner had won four races to Pedrosa's one, and his one win Stoner was up his arse and binned it. At Indy, where Pedrosa miraculously comes into his 'great form', Stoner had topped all practice sessions before his injury.

I am not denying that Pedrosa is a great rider. I just think that with the absence of his team mate and the Honda being so strong that he didn't have to find great form to win.

"Just wait 'til Mugello".

Well, Mugello is now upon us... & I predict another bitter dose of reality (& plenty more excuses) for the zealots this weekend.

It's going to be interesting to see just how the FP1 times hold up for FP2 and FP3 before qualifying.  If it's raining for the remainder of the day and into tomorrow for qualifying, there could be some big names battling to get out of QP1 no???

think theres going to be a duc on the podium and as for the restits hard to call . just looking forward to seeing my first live race of the season. lil red hope your well mucker
