If you think in terms black and white, then yes, no one wants to watch people "riding to their deaths".
Calculated risks by the best riders in the world at desperate times. You would understand if you used to compete at any level of any motorsports. Hell, even cycling can get dangerous.

I once "raced" to take a ..... But in my reckless haste, it turned out it was only a pisser. I yelled out "where the .... are the shitters?!" It was a "desperate time". I then "raced" to the actual ......., just moments before I made it to the stall, I .... my pants. I understand the "dangers" of racing recklessly.

Thanks for the comments folks.

I agree with BG. Please title your threads 'XX Race @ XXX - My Perspevtive' or something like that... We like to have a practice/qually thread and a race thread as things tend to get unwieldy otherwise. Thanks budoist.

I did look around before I started posting these, but Qatar way back when was the only one that really followed that format. At least as far as thread titles go for this season. I can always post it as the predictions thread or something if I complete the write up early enough.

Rising Sun used to post in his own thread, it's still pinned on top (A top ten guide). Maybe you should start your own thread?

I have just pissed my pants laughing at that! ;)

Same ........ move. He tried an inside line that directly intersected with the bike in front of him. Different track, similar lines, same result

The difference, as I am sure you understand when not fishing ;), is that Marquez' line was tenable, ie he did not lose the front regardless of the intersection with Lorenzo's line.  Bautista's, not for the first time, was not.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be an ........ We've generally followed a Predictions/FP Thread and Race Thread format. Things have been a little sloppy this year, maybe you can be the guy who fixes that. It's nice having both because our threads turn into sloppy messes and by about 2 days after said race there are 4 discussions/topics going on in one thread.  This halves that. Anyway, never again will I waste anybody's time talking about this. Sorry about the 8-15 seconds I just stole from all of your lives.

You dont know if he would have lost the front because running into george propped him up. What does it matter if he tucked or not. Both riders took a line that would have taken out the other if not for luck and a bit of skill.

I think it time to dig up the thread from a year ago about what the bevy of excuses would be when Marcy started taking people out

Making people laugh is not necessarily mature, but it is a more admirable human trait than expecting other people to perform gladatorial acts for one's entertainment.

The fallacy in your statement is that gladiators were expected to draw blood purely for entertainment. Nobody is forcing these type A personality riders to take risky last corner moves.

Again, anyone that's tried anything competitive, especially if there were high stakes involved, would sympathize.

Way to go, Mr Literal. FFS.

Though you have me intrigued as to your experience in high-stakes competition and how this allows you to speak for all those that have been similarly involved.

Mr Literal?  How should anyone have perceived your statement?  Otherwise, what did you mean by gladitorial besides fighting to the death?

As for high stakes I meant from a culmination of sacrifice and dedication.

Very mature. Good for you!

Im not very mature Mr. Literal, though this was absolutely a true story; but take it from experience, stay away from mystery meat hamburgers. Maybe i should stick to high-steaks. Speaking of experience, perhaps u could fill us in on the plethera of high-stakes competition that allows u to speak so authoritatively.

Now I doubt it was intentional, but that's genuinely funny.

And by the way, I didn't ask for a definition of 'high stakes'. I asked for "your experience of high-stakes competition and how this allows you to speak for all those that have been similarly involved."
