I must admit the aussie members here really do know how to rub you the wrong way, im kinda getting tired of the "ahah he is better then you all hahah" arrogance shown by quite a lot of ppl. Im also sick and tired of pathetic attempts at comebacks by others who take it to personally.

It's always a dangerous practice to generalise about inhabitants of an entire country. You may be completely right in that there are a number of Aussie members that "really do know how to rub you the wrong way", however there are a greater majority here that are simply parochial fans.

I work with a number of South Africans & they seem to share a similar sense of humour to the average aussie, so I guess that it's just a personal thing for you is it?

There's always the oft-mentioned "Ignore" button remember

and when he came in the 2nd time, didnt then the ducati team smile. i mean when u race or any sort of sport, u do what the opposition dont want u to do. coming in the 2nd time was waving the white flag.

instead if he stayed out there even cycling a few seond behind stoner, he could of maybe applied pressure later on.

why did he come in for the 2nd ride thru? to tell his team bike not perfect? what does he expect to put the race on pause so he can get his settings right? battle on man, coming in for a chat to your team aint gonna help

You must have been too busy laughing rather than watching. Comming out from pit on a new bike that sends you out in the gravel is scary. Not to take that seriously are not bravery but plain stupid. A loose bolt or a damaged wheel can eaily become a death trap for these riders. And don't say it doesn't happen as I'm sure every single racer has experienced mechanics errors.

Youre welcome to laugh as much as you want, but if you contine to do so on the expence of others, instead of laughing and cheering your own riders victory, especially when you base your laughs on something you obviously have extreemly limitied knowledge about, you will not make many friends here, allthough it seems like other Aussis join your gracefull celebartion practice.

I wonder; Is that an Aussi thing?

I must admit that you are a fool!!! Were not like that at all but some members on this forum (not all I must mention!!!) do drive certain members with their outlandish posts to rub us the wrong way!!!

Btw: Ospi...Look and enjoy and celebrate with us!!!

That's a bit rough... I think that you're right in that it's a fortunate person that can laugh at someone else's misfortune, however I believe that most aussie fans are simply ecstatic that Stoner finally tied up the Championship win against one of the best rider's in history, regardless of how it happened!

And refer to my above reply to Ospi...

did i say laugh at rossi? they were smiling coz they knew he clinched the WC... maybe someone like u who has a personality of a rock maybe u wouldnt smile

Why cant you just be happy with Stoner’s championship instead of mocking other riders? Sounds to me like a typical inferiority complex.

To clear up what i said before i was referring to only SOME members here, and it is quite obvious who they are, i was certainly not stereotyping in anyway.

Shame about the weather and that rubbish M1.

The weather and team strategy was the deciding factor...today was a team race and it was among the best races in a long while (IMO)!

The M1 worked great the team (which includes Rossi) got it wrong.

It certainly was a team race today, and some quick although risky thinking really helped some guys shine who usually do not get the chance, it is great to see.

The funny thing about that is the obvious one is not smart enough to know it's him your talking about.

Wow Pinky, you should be in Rossi's pit crew!

Obviously you knew what he should have done today and not Rossi him self a seven times world champion rider.

I think that if Rossi thought there was a problem with the bike, then there was probably a problem with the bike. Rossi never gives up during a race and he showed that today after running off the track a couple of times he just kept going even though it must have been pretty soul destroying to have been leading the race and then sent to the back of the pack.

I think I would like Stoner more as a rider if some of his supporters on this forum would be a bit more graceful in his victory also.

I would suggest that Stoner not be judged by the very small number of Forum members to whom you refer, instead judge them and judge Stoner on what you see and hear from him and him alone.

To judge a rider based upon the actions of a forum member is unfortunate as many times you may miss a genuine fantastic moment or display of skill because your judgement is colored due to the feelings you mention.

Well said..........anyone who judges any sports star on their fans will get the wrong idea, whether on a forum or down the pub.

that is true, though unfortunately there are quite a few who do take a dislike towards Stoner because of some of his over zealous fans on here occasionally.

Totally correct and it is unfortunate when an athlete is judged by his/her fans.

By the way, I don't just think it is Stoner either as Rossi has similar 'issues' and to a lesser degree so does Pedrosa (issues being over zealous fans tainting others opinion of the rider).

Congrats to World Champ 2007 Casey Stoner. Well deserved indeed.
<

Gutted for Pedrosa. Was going to enter the pit when he crash.
<

Poor Rossi, just not his day i guess.
Congrats to the top 3 as well, especially Loris. I miss seeing him up there. Well done Loris!!

Unfortunately that is just the way it is.

People who are not avid Stoner fans would like him more if his avid fans were a bit more down to earth.
