see rossi come into the pit the 2nd time when he wasnt on the pace after the tire change, to tell the world, "oh my bike is ...., i'm gonna do a ride thru to tell u about it" hhahahahah

Fantastic to see Loris back at the top, where he rightfully belongs!

Another strange race, enough to keep my attention.

Did Loris ACTUALLY say that "I don't ....... care" then?

It was amusing to see the Ducati team pretending they actually cares about Loris' victory when we all know what their agenda is, ....... dirty rats!

He should've pitted earlier. End of.

The podium men showed clearly that the early call was ideal, but its easy for them to take that risk with nothing to lose.

Awesome race, DePuniet finally did what hes supposed to do and proved that he can get results that match his speed. Nice to see Elias back at the top and Capirex of course, but i'm not sure if Loris is truly working with the 800 now or just played his cards right.

Guintoli's ride was inspired and i loved every minute of it. I remember when he got that ride and everybody here said he was too .... to even ride for tech 3 after his first test, i said he would be good and now he puts dunlops in 4th and has a ride with Ducati.

True, but in the end one lap made all the difference, had he pitted at the same time as, or ideally before stoner, more than likely he would've been able to maintain his advantage. It is in no way michelins or yamahas fault for the timing rossi decided that he wanted to change bikes as previously suggested, because that is what screwed up his race.

SPEWIN for my man Westy, would have been on the podium if not for the penalty, IMO, wonder if he had a clutch release or launch control issue.. Prooved he can run at the front anyway!

But really, all congratulations must go to Casey, what a brilliant season and what brilliant composure he showed today, hes earned it, no one can deny him that

Well, i couldn't be so sure about that. Are the riders ordered in on their pit boards or do they chose for themself? and what was this mystery brakeproblem Rossi was having?? I think there wasn't much wrong with Michelin today, towards the end of the wet section they were actually better and in the dry they looked competative all weekend.

Our commentators pointed out that if you gave Westy back 25 seconds for his peanalty he would have been one or maximum two places higher. We already new West could run at the front in the wet, so i don't think we really saw a large step foreward for him this weekend (except for Qualifying form). Regardless it was another impressive and solid ride, put slightly in the shade by his teammate.

rossi didnt have a perfect bike so he gave up by coming into the pits just to have a whinge. unlike stoner who had clutch problems last week he rode around it and never gave up.

Yeah where was he?

Akiyoshi didn't finish (mechanical DNF), up until he went out on lap 20 he was leading vermuelan and hopkins comfortably. 7th position to Chris and John running 11th and 12th.

Chris screwed the start and Hopkins just isn't good in mixed conditions. As far as I'm concerned Akiyoshi was the strongest Suzuki rider out there today.

Paul Denning – Team Manager:
“It’s been a difficult weekend for Rizla Suzuki MotoGP in Motegi and today the luck didn’t go with us either. I feel particularly bad for Akiyoshi-san. He did really well all weekend and looked set for a good finish. He made a great effort here, turned a few heads and deserved a better result – he was faster than Chris and John today and can be proud of his efforts.

Phew what a race!

Gutted for Westy he was flying, great podium at the end for Capper, DePruniet, and Mr Elias unlucky for Guintoli who was putting in fastest laps every other lap at one point, I was egging him on for a podium finish!

Rossi, better luck next year and well done to the new Champ Mr Stoner

Where's the troll spray when you need it? ROGER!

But then again, nothing new about kids being careless and stupid. There is allway the hope that they grow out of it.

Forgot to add unlucky for Pedro, he looked hurt after that crash..

Vermuelen had his hand up before the start if you watch the replay, must've stalled it - shame. Really his perfect conditions too.

Good point Tommy. I guess it would have to be kind of a joint desicion, but in anycase, the team has no choice but to have the bike ready just in case rossi decided to pit before they indicate.
Apparrently the front end was tucking in around the corners, sounds to me like the tyres were just cold.

why did he come in for the 2nd ride thru? to tell his team bike not perfect? what does he expect to put the race on pause so he can get his settings right? battle on man, coming in for a chat to your team aint gonna help

I must admit the aussie members here really do know how to rub you the wrong way, im kinda getting tired of the "ahah he is better then you all hahah" arrogance shown by quite a lot of ppl. Im also sick and tired of pathetic attempts at comebacks by others who take it to personally.

Agree with this - comes to the idea that racing is very much in the head of the rider/driver. For example after the last F1 race Kimi admitted the problem was in his head and not infact there.

Agree he shouldn't have gone into the pit again.

I was wondering what pace he could have done if he didn't change bikes? Did somebody say they saw chunks coming off rossi's wet tyre? Obviously if that was the case he probably wouldn't have finished the race/would have been worse off than changing.
