Congratulation to Lorenzo.... he did good in the season and he deserved this championship`...

although i, and i reckon a lot of other fans, would have loved to see a great battle for the championship, and not being already know since months ago who had it 90% in the bag... either with Rossi, Stoner or Pedrosa.... is not anyone fault that other riders has the bad luck having those accidents... i reckon this season could have been a good battle between Stoner, or at least both Spaniards Pedrosa and Lorenzo...

Let's hope for some good battles in the remaining races, now that Rossi seems to be back in shape, and Stoner home GP is next.. and let's wait for the next season that seems will be the most interesting in the last years

i
<
...my i told you so's: Jorge Motogp World Champion!!!!:toot:My Humble pie...Spies is Rookie of the year. Spies is an alien!
<
:p:p:p:p

Seriously, My hat's off to Spies and Dovi. They have upped their game the entire season. Bravo.

Given the confirmed speculations (via KRobJr), if you are a Satellite rider you are pretty much handicapped so Hats off again to Spies/Edwards/DePuniet

Rossi...from 11th back for the win..dude I think you have been sandbagging on the shoulder. Great Ride. This reminds me of the Biaggi/Rossi grid cleaning incident. Rossi crashed out but he rode from dead last to 4th, within a second to the lead group, before losing the front on the sandy Qatar surface.

If you can hand it to Lorenzo on the same bike, why are you leaving again? Rossi thanks for moving to Ducati.

Casey-I hope Ohlins has something to help you with the front end feeling...Next year will be a beast if Pedrosa is on form and Dovi is right at his heals...You can't afford to wash out the front 3 to 4 races

Spies has done brilliantly on the tech3 imo but it's way to early to claim "alain"status. Thats like the over use of the "hero" word in america
<

As for rossi sandbagging the shoulder, i thought the same until i saw him in parc ferme. He was sat on the floor having ice bags put under his leathers with pain written all over his face. Thats gona hurt in the morning !

In some countries you would be shot for mangling the natioanl flag, thankfully not Spain.

Did anyone catch Lorenzo's choice of music at the end of BBC show? "I got 99 problems but a ..... ain't one?" Funny
<

11th to 1st, anyone dare to try & have a problem with that? I've always prefered Sonic The Hedgehog myself.
<

I am guessing Lorenzo wont help Rossi try to take 2nd in the championship standing since they are on the same team and it is a team effort to get the FIAT Yamaha bikes at the top of the list....???
<

I would say he has his title and he will continue to go for personal accomplishments just like he was trying last weekend at Motegi...where he then cried out "but we are a team....why would he risk hurting the championship??"

Glad he got his title this year....I think next year he will have his hands full with the rider/bikes musical chairs.

Right then, what an excellent race! It was very refreshing to see the old Rossi back, even though he hasn't ridden at that level since Qatar its so familiar to have him riding at the front like that. It was incredible how much later than anyone he could brake into that hairpin halfway round the lap. Dovi was good again, but he always seems at his best following someone slightly faster and i was never that convinced he could win it. Having said that he probably would have done it if he was closer into the last turn... if if if, but but but. It's a shame for Andrea none of that counts. The battle for 3rd overall is well and truly on. Such a shame from Stoner to go right back to square 1.

Toward the end Lorenzo obviously desided the others were too fast and he was just going to take 3rd with his title, well and truly deserved it is. I am over the moon
<
I hope he goes for it a bit in the last few races, he must be a favorite for Estoril.

The battle behind the leaders was pretty hectic, it was great to see Aoyama riding so well with the other rookies after the troubled season he had. Bautista did brilliantly and needs to get off a Suzuki asap, he belongs in motogp and can do better than that bike can. Simoncelli's riding was a bit questionable, when under attack he seems to take a Rossi inspired desperation pass at all costs attitude, but he doesn't have nearly the finesse of Valentino and it comes off pretty badly. He was obviously tiring at the end of the race.

I feel a bit spoiled with a GP every weekend, and with PI next it just gets better and better

Why not 99 Luftballoons or 99 bottles of beer on the wall?

I like Lorenzo, but he is trying too hard. Rossi does his stupid antics for fun. Jorge is trying to create an entertainment media property. It's never going to work until his celebrations are more for his own amusement.

Great race!! Well done Jorge, inevitable really despite many crapping on about Rossi risking JL's title last week.

Well its been nearly 4 years since we've seen a rider come through from outside the top ten to win the race, I personally believed that it couldn't be done anymore with the current 800's-so Thank you VR for restoring my faith in Motogp.

Dovi-great. Big worries for Yamaha next year-that Honda lane is quicker than ever.

As for my predictions, well I was wrong, but not completely. There's no Rossi Hating.....yet, can't blame the overnight specials.....can't blame the new engine-all yams had it.....can't blame it on the sunshine....maybe the boogie!

So no cockfighting either, funny how the usual haters are very, very quiet-when usually at this point are out in full force! Hardly a post........wait for it
<

There's definitely need for some 'Poor Nicky, he's so unlucky', so on the pace one day, and then....well. I was hoping he would perform better as well.

Also I'm spot on about one Casey Stoner.......just beaten to yet another championship, yet hes still the best rider ever......right?? Just knocked to 4th in the title race, despite starting ever race. Not even in the same league as Dani........??
<

Stoner's DNF record from 'losing the front' must be getting close to matching Rossi's GP win record!!!!

Anyway, looks like PI could be a cracker.....hopefully JB's new, yet another, last minute winning setting (I thought he was too old.... past it....?) transfers to the colder environment at PI, and Jorge/Dovi can find an answer for another great vintage GP.

You miss 'em because they're your raison d'être. Bitching and moaning over their unconscionable refusal to bow down to your lord and master

is what gets you out of bed in the morning.

aaaannnnndddd here we go

i guess the bickering and arguing (some say debate) makes the forum more lively, but i think there's times when people do it just for the sake of arguing over bullsh!t.

Dude! He ....... and moans when objective people say anything unflattering about Rossi and now he's complaining because no-one has said anything.

Toby and Jules said something to this while Jorge was celebratnig in Parc Ferme. They said Jorge naturally is very shy. He is trying to build a sort of anti Pedrosa persona, quoting from Jorge's book. This is why his celebrations feel forced sometimes.

We were all expecting a gimmick from Lorenzo as soon as he won his championship. What I thought would of been the greatest gimmick was to not have one at all. The world was expecting one so why be predictable. I would have been a greater shock to give the world something unexpected which in reality was the genesis of all these pranks.

I usually don't mind them so much, even though they are a blatant and poor ripoff off Rossi's. I just thought today he should have been celebrating in style and with some class rather than with a gimmick that really wasn't that clever or funny.

I won't read much into "the snubbing incident". Dude was in the throes of a spectacular human achievement and it was clear when he took his helmet off that he was truly caught up in a pretty powerfull moment.

What an absolute and magnificent choke job for 2 weeks in a row by Dovioso. He clearly has the fastest bike on the track but is completely incapable of doing anything but following the guy in front of him.

For us AMA fans Dovi reminds me of Tommy Aquino. A fast guy on a great bike that runs up front but never seems able to put a pass on someone.

The Ducati once again showing that it is the biggest piece of .... factory bike on the grid.

Bottom line; Lorenzo is not a "creative" personality. His gimmicks are likely thought up by other non-creative types,ie:

mechanics and truck drivers. He's possesses no awareness of how cardboard-ish his little theater pieces are. He strikes

me as almost a borderline personality. He's a very two-dimensional jock who's been racing since he was a little kid. He's

been around the world multiple times but sees the same transport trucks, mobile homes, discos and bars over and over

again. Probably never been to a museum in his life. He's not exposed to creative people and probably couldn't relate to

them if he did. And really - the stuff Rossi does isn't exactly high art either. It's all tediously trite and sophmoric.

Re: Dovisioso - I don't think that's fair. He's pretty clearly on a much improved bike - but it takes time to adjust to being

up at the pointy end. He blew by Lorenzo (who just won the world championship). But he has a history with him. Rossi

on the other hand - is psychogically - a whole other story. I think he did well and made some serious attempts to hold

onto first. Lorenzo may be the guy who needed to play it safe, but Dovi - it's safe to say - wanted very much to make

a good impression on Honda, and not do anything stupid to throw away what he'd achieved.

What did he achieve. He had the fastest bike and pole position in Japan on a bike that was designed for that track and could do nothing with it.

The week before Spies applied a little pressure to him (on a faster bike) and he folded. He's been on that bike for 3 years. He's had pleny of time to come to grips with it

Congrats to 2010 Moto GP champion Jorge Lorenzo. Smart to play it safe.

Dovi, this should give anybody pause about who runs Repsol #1 & #2.. His bike was fast and this is a result of him taking full advantage.

Rossi, congrats on win. What happen to detuned engine, .... tires, tech3 bike, etc.?

To anybody here saying Lorenzo snubed Spies or anybody else, to a man (and u know who each of u are); you guys r ....... idiots and r just looking at imaginary reason for sour grapes. Dude just won lifelong dream, tears r prob running in his eyes infront of a few of his personal buddies, he was out of his mind. Hes got no beef with Spies. Good on Rossi to shake his hand, Lorenzo acknowleged too and that was that. What u guys want, for them to suck eachothers ....? Again, anybody saying it was a snub, u r a ....... moron!

Ducat is ..... That front end is a hazard.

Talpa, the new pinky.

To anybody here saying Lorenzo snubed Spies or anybody else...

Whether it was an intentional "snub" or not is debatable. That it irked Spies is not. Ben sat beside Jorge for an inordinately long period of time with his hand offered in congrats and when he was ignored he he gave an obvious head-shake as he accelerated away.
