You can well say that. 11th in the course of the 1st lap after a horrible start, 1st at the flag. Something we had not seen since Assen 2007.

Lorenzo of course HAD to be cautious, no problem with that -- but he was also plenty nervous.



After the race he was so much into tunnel vision he didn't see Spies and Rossi and others stopping to congratulate him.



Then he minced the Spanish flag in his chain, blocking his bike

Then he went into the 1st position in the parc ferme, forgetting he had arrived 3rd.

Last, he left the podium before the cheeers and ritual photo with Rossi and Dovi // something unprecedented.

He-s a great rider, now deservedly world champion, but I really cannot bring myself to like him.

Good ride from Spies and Bautista.

Stoner... we know he pushes more than others in the first 2 laps. It's something that makes him win some races, crash in others.

Dovi is growing, steady. he deserves a factory ride.

Epic ride from Rossi, fought his way through the pack to win.

Great ride from dovi, really coming of age now just in time to be snubbed out on a sat ride.

Lorenzo played it safe, At least he finished on the podium to get his championship even if it was the lowest step

On the 2nd or the 3th lap Rossi overtook 3 riders in 3 corner (i think).



now that Championship is over, let's hope for a 3 way battle in PI. or after that between Horhay and Vale.

I really doubt that the "wall" will be coming down next year in the Yamaha camp. Seems like Lorenzo wants to start the mind games, jedi mind ...., or whatever you want to call it a bit early. What he doesn't yet realize is that crap doesn't affect Spies at all.



I am really hoping for a better season as well. To be honest, I am fairly new watching MotoGP racing. I only started the year after Kenny Jr. won the championship. But I can honestly tell you that if I just started watching this since the 800's were implemented, I doubt I would still be a fan. Heres hoping to a much more exciting 2011.

I'm not normally a fan of the post race celebrations , but I did like the post WC Mario and Luigi "GAME OVER" bit.

Wouldn't read to much into the not shaking folks hand, they seemed busy telling him what to do with the "GAME OVER" sign.

Great ride by Rossi, Dovi, and Spies. Lorenzo sand bagged it but then who could really blame him? He was smart to not get involved with what was looking like a battle for the lead.



Bautista is starting to look like his 250 days finally. Imagine what he might be able to do if he wasn't on the Suzuki.



What can we say about Nicky? He always teases us with good to great qualifying, then come race time looks like he should be back riding in the AMA.

After todays ride I'll be really surprised if Rossi doesn't finish out the season. He looked like he just won the WC after the race.



As long as he is competitive, he will stay.

Congratulations Jorge. Safe ride today, didn't get mixed up in anything.

Was a good ride by Dovi but I don't think it is a coincidence that he always gets pipped. I don't think he has that last 1% that he needs to beat the aliens when they are on their game.

Great ride by Rossi, a vintage ride not seen for a while. It was fitting that he has 46 victories with Yamaha. Looking forward to Phillip Island now that it seems that he is going. I think he is having too much fun not to.

Stoner - tyre clearly too cold at the end of lap 1. Incidently Dovi used the extra hard on the front as well - he was pretty strong at the end of the race.

It looked indeed like Ben was ignored by Jorge, but I am sure Lorenzo was just too emotional to notice him, and I think he goes to Ben to say sorry if he watches the reply. It took a bit long time for Elias to notice Lorenzo at Parkferme when he tried to congratulate him, and even commentators said Elias did not notice that Lorenzo was there. He was too emotional as well. I do not think he could even think of playing the mind games against Ben right after winning the world title. About skipping champagne fight at podium, it showed his childish side, but I think Rossi was just like him when he was much younger. I saw many his celebration that made me cringe. I liked Jorge`s Mario brother celebration this time, It was witty and simple and did not take much take. He should stick to the celebration he can do while riding on the bike. I see many do not like his celebration unless you are his fans. I did not like watching Rossi`s because I am not his fans, and it is like rubbing salt to wounds after watching him beating your favorite rider. Congratulations to Jorge, and it was great battle among top three, and in the middle among Aoyama, Cimoncelli, Hayden, and Bautista too. I hope Aoyama and Elias get the seat in motogp next year.

Congratulations to Jorge on winning 2010 world championship, fully deserving and worhty champion. His form in the middle of the season was just unbelievable. Don't look into hand shake thing too much guys i think he was just over emotional on achieving his dream but i must admit spies didn't look too impress though.

Rossi was…. Rossi. Great ride, very much in control at all times. Rossi – undiminished.



Killer effort from Dovi – imagine what he could have accomplished this

year if ....... Repsol hadn’t been sending him out there with a de-tuned engine.

I doubt very much he intentionally snubbed Ben. He has to have been totally

overwhelmed by the moment he was in. Still don't like him. Always been a pompous

little putz with a lollipop in his gob. He'll only get worse in that respect.



Great ride from Ben. I think he’s officially an alien now.



Bautista… always been a favorite rider of mine – a devastating ride on the piece of .... Suzuki.



Aoyama – totally riding a samurai race all clamped up in that back brace and dealing easily with

......-bag Simoncelli, up to his old roller-derby passing style. ....... clown.



Melandri said the satellite Honda was inferior to the Kawasaki from the previous season.



Kalio to be out of Ducati before the end of the season to be replaced by – did they say Checa? I think so.



His teammate – riding in 2011 for Ducati – I think not.



Bring on PI – can’t wait to see if Lorenzo will have an answer

Given the confirmed speculations (via KRobJr), if you are a Satellite rider you are pretty much handicapped so Hats off again to Spies/Edwards/DePuniet



Rossi...from 11th back for the win..dude I think you have been sandbagging on the shoulder. Great Ride. This reminds me of the Biaggi/Rossi grid cleaning incident. Rossi crashed out but he rode from dead last to 4th, within a second to the lead group, before losing the front on the sandy Qatar surface.



If you can hand it to Lorenzo on the same bike, why are you leaving again? Rossi thanks for moving to Ducati.



Casey-I hope Ohlins has something to help you with the front end feeling...Next year will be a beast if Pedrosa is on form and Dovi is right at his heals...You can't afford to wash out the front 3 to 4 races

A fantastic season, strong all the way through. Looking forward to PI and his race there. We can only hope for a battle with Rossi.

Not surprising but interesting to hear the commentators and general paddock opinion on Lorenzo's previous race and the dog fight with Rossi.

Rossi had an almost legendary race going from 11 to 1. With all of the other aliens prevented from (fully) taking up the race it just didn't make it all the way to legendary, only almost.

Anyway, good to see him back on the top of the podium.
