Again, I ask you did he receive the same amount of help that Rossi received?

That is the crux of the situation and nowhere have I said he did not receive help.

Again, I will stress that my point is about equal help, and that is my issue.

If you count the marshalls that attended to each rider there is a discrepancy in the number is there not?

That is the question, not whether he received no help (and he has not stated no help, just that he did not receive the same level of help).

And my glasses are fine by the way, already wearing them and have been for years ......................... a lesson learnt to listen to what you mother says about the late night tv shows

Absolutely agree that no whine will change or undo what has been done in the past and my point is quite simply that some of the marshalls on that day at that time became starstruck and made an error, no more and no less. I have never said and will not say that any of the attending marshalls decided to help Rossi because the other rider was Stoner, they helped Rossi because he of his stature in the sport and the universal like of him.

But, sometimes whines are valid and should be listened to or used as the basis for improvement to an existing item or process.

And I will say it now, many of Stoner's 'whines' are petulance and uncalled for, just as many are valid or have been shown to be based on validity

If that incident were in Australia ....... the Salvo's would have helped Casey!!!

Give it up folks Talpa and Goat etc ......... all think Stoner is the "antichrist", doesn't matter what .... happens around him they will find a way to try and belittle him .......... from that crash ....... even when their idol is at fault.

Actually don't need glasses, as I still have perfect vision, as does my 83 year old father who still does not as yet require them, even for driving.

I actually did conflate yours and talpa's posts because I posted quickly at work, and the jerez incident is the one time I actually was seriously annoyed/glassy eyed and concerning which it would seem I still am, as I was with attempts to make stoner the guilty party at the time and subsequently, which I concede you were not part of at the time and weren't attempting on this thread. And I actually agreed with and did not dispute that drawing any general conclusions about marshalls from the 3 disparate incidents he cited was a touch paranoid. I felt stoner's pain over the jerez thing though, which could have cost him the championship if jorge/yamaha had performed for the rest of 2011 as he did in 2010 and has so far in 2012, and could see how the marshalls rushing to assist the guy who had just taken him out to re-start would have increased his annoyance.

My defence for my blustering defence of stoner is that it is usually in reply to blustering attacks on him, and that I seldom if ever make blustering attacks on rossi, although imo the jerez incident is perhaps the only time in his career valentino, the man who has nothing to prove, was trying to prove something, and attempted a pass which may have been influenced by white line fever.

What does this have to do with backing in a motorcycle?

As opposed to backing in which involves the downshift to ...... the motion of the rear wheel - often used in conjunction with the rear brake for stability and to temper or even increase the slide since the advent of the slipper clutch, the guy in your picture is sliding his bicycle on the edge of the tyre with great finesse. This is precisely what you claimed to be able to do 'routinely' on public roads in the approach to corners astride your Ducati by 'shutting the throttle' and 'body position alone'.

Simple question. Why are flat track motorcycles equipped with rear brakes? Think you'll find King Kenny was quite partial to one.

Second question - how is Chris doing this?....because it sure aint anything vaguely resembling the technique in your last picture. This is what is meant by backing in......
