Not exactly a thrilling race this weekend, but watching these bikes around Phillip Island is always awesome. Stoner was on another planet, he's riding brilliantly at the moment and must fancy second overall. Lorenzo rode well but unspectacular, i'm hoping he can get another win before the end of the season. Portugal will be his best chance by far. Good to see Hayden holding his own with Rossi, but the end result was fairly predictable, although Rossi had to try harder than i expected.

those who think THAT was hard passing need to move on to another sport..maybe golf.. poker perhaps... the passes of the past few years are NOTHING compared to passes done in the 500/990 days.. real racing.

Maybe MotoGP should do away completely with Race Day... Just run FP's and Q... top time wins... sounds great hu.

Its funny, Rossi spoke out in 08 about Hector Barberas riding in the 250's, yet more and more often he is making passes just as scrappy as the ones Hector was doing before he got a grip. I guess Rossi has had a rethink and realized that being in front is more important than making pretty passes. I think its good to see some hard racing near the front again rather than just between the rookies lower down who are always at it.

J4rno. Nice speculative post you wrote as fact. How could you possibly know that every other rider is too chickenshit and Rossi has more balls than anyone.

Johnny... I never spoke of BALLS
<

I give it for granted that at that level they all have the proper attributes
<

I was speaking about SKILL. Skill is not a speculation, as it is visible. I said that if other riders do not manage to do the passes Valentino Rossi does, it is not a matter of determination (=balls) but it is a matter of skill. If they felt confident to pull it off without causing a crash, I said, they'd be only too happy to do just the same!

But it's not easy

What a surprise!!! you wrong again. The gap was 6.3 seconds between Rossi and Jorge when Rossi overtook Spies on lap 8.

I was wrong, the gap actually grew another 5.7 seconds after Rossi took 3rd, then Lorenzo backed it down around 7/10ths a lap for the last 4 laps.Your right, the final margin was under 4seconds that Lorenzo put on Rossi after he had clear track and no excuses, my bad

Yes thanks. Not only has Rossi been beaten by Lorenzo at all but 3 races, he's also made serious errors in his efforts to stay competitive. Lorfenzo's superiority this year has been almost total.

Faster: Yes

More consistency: Yes

More sensible and level headed: Yes

Less mistakes: Yes

More wins: Yes

Last lap battles: No

Championship: Yes

Team status: Yes

Absolutely priceless, and predictable.

Fanboy= a term used to describe a male who is highly devoted and biased in opinion towards a single subject or within a given field.

Example=Rossi sent the message...he was the one racing against other riders for positions..[/b].....Lorenzo was riding by himself afraid to challenge Stoner for the win.
<

Rossi did gain postions from his grid spot.....Lorenzo stayed the same.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the example above, the Fanboy is a Rossi fan. In his highly devoted, opinionated towards a single subject way, he actually believes that Rossi sent his teammate a message, letting him know who is boss.

The only thing priceless is you taking the bait dispite roolyeyes AND a writting warning about the same.

no doubt who is blind here.

Hater.

–verb (used with object)

1.

to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest: to hate the enemy; to hate bigotry.

You really are becoming rather tiresome with your disregard for facts to air your hatred to anything rossi in this thread and just about all your posts. Your turning into quite the Troll imo.

Lorenzo has done very well, nobody is disputing this. He has also remained uninjured throughout the whole season unlike Rossi.

Lorenzo has been the best rider this year, nobody can dispute that. He did start the season injured, but he's been solid despite that.

A Rossi fan cannot hide his true emotions. Even when he was crayfishing with his " writting warning" whatever the .... that is, his true feelings were on display with this

He would have had the title one race sooner and then he could have raced hard for us last round and not had his ... beaten by his teammate for the second straight race as well .......wait, sorry he rode safe for third and a clinch, so it doesn't count as getting beaten since he said he was going to ride safe and clinch the title.

Dirty passing/fairing bashing/paint swapping etc - do not require high science or black arts. If club racers

and pros in the AMA can do it - it's not that big a deal for someone like Rossi. Yes they are working with

higher speeds and more competent competitors - but that's well off-set by better chassis, suspension and

tires.

You claim, several times, that this is so simple while a clean pass is something much more difficult, I guess they don't have clean passes in AMA and club races around you?

The rest weren't even worth the bandwith.

Great.

But reflect on this simple thing:

Had Lorenzo suffered the same injuries Rossi suffered this year, would he be World Champion now? Obvious answer: NO

So the reason Rossi could not even try winning the title again this year, is not just Lorenzo's utter invincibility... There was something else in the picture, wasn't it...
<

Not taking credit away from Lorenzo does not mean ignoring the facts altogether.

You mean, that he actually is a Rossi fan. You won't get a Pulitzer for "exposing" that povol, but nice try.

Really??? Everyone is still bitching about hard passing? I am with Curve, if you don't like go watch f1 or play checkers. Stoner in germany, Hayden in Argon, Jorge & Rossi, and now Rossi agian. They were all good block passes. They all took the other riders line away but gave them enough track to not run off. They didnt cause any contact, its up to the rider being blocked to not lean it into the rider blocking. You want to see what not to do watch Simoncelli. He just fires it in on riders who are already on full lean angle, and uses his front faring as a battering ram.

There are only two gp's left. There has to be something more fun than this to ..... at each other about than this .....
