But that is not what Casey said at all.

He said the bike they get at the beginning of the year is the bike they pretty much have all year. (not for 3 years)

He did not say the bike has not been developed over 3 years, I don't know where Talpa got that from.

It's Talpa .........
<

To be fair its not his fault, I mean when Rossi is running away with it he is wide awake and its not a "boring race" at all.

But in this case, Case was running away with it so the race was apparently a "boring race". And Talpa nods off, and he sees a new race, where the camera is on Rossi always, and in all the interviews the real sound is cut and there is just a voiceover of Rossi saying just exactly what Talpa wants to hear ........ sweet dreams

Now on the "new" most amazing pass of the century ......... ok one, or possibly two, guys had a dig over it and we get 10 pages of religious blubbering about them having said it, from the boppers.

The pass showed a great understanding of the physics of cornering. Someone mentioned that they though Rossi was down, judgng from the camera angle, and rightly so. Had Hayden not been there Rossi would either have gone down or had to straighten up. However using the physics of momentum during an inside pass is a very common practice. If we look at the physicsof the pass Rossi had to drop his momentum ( where momentum is m X v[sub]a[/sub] ), not wanting to lessen v[sub]a[/sub] the only option is to add mass .... in this case 1 Haydens worth. The physics is sound and it worked, "Level Complete" or " Boss Defeated"! But not "Game Over" cos you have to remember Lorenzo has declared that.

<

Get over it boppers a few guys expressed dismay that their rider did not come out on top over it ........ not everyone wakes up to a picture of Rossi every morning wishing he was there
<
<
......... hickety boo.
<

PS. Such moves occur all the time, but they are not "good practice", mainly cos one day one of the riders you do it too, or even yourself, is going to get hurt. I'll be honest, amongst the riders such a rider gets a pretty bad image, as in "is desperate" as they no longer have the skills to race in what as seen as a "clean" manner. Rossi has had a bad year, and we are seeing a few of these moves from him. One thing for sure is his "auro" as a great racer is dropping with the other riders ....... especially the newer ones, who a few years ago would have been in awe of him.

Its a pretty amazing thing that we have riders of the "ilk" of Stoner, Lorenzo, and now Hayden who can stay on when "someone" gets desperate.

Kudos to Hayden it was your turn to play "nurse maid" mate

I don't usually get into these bopper debates because they are pointless, devoid of facts and driven by opinion. but since I started the ball rolling I might as well continue.

I have one question fo those that are tireless defenders of Rossi.

Does Valentino Rossi repeatedly pass harder than any other rider in motogp over the course of the last 10 years.

It's a simple yes or no question.

If yes than why.

If you say he is more skilled than everyone and noone else is capable of it than you are stating your opinion. Have you talked to every other rider and determined that this is a fact?

J4rno. Nice speculative post you wrote as fact. How could you possibly know that every other rider is too chickenshit and Rossi has more balls than anyone.

It ain't so much ......... as "a bit embelished"
<
<
<

I was merely saying you can bounce off the outside rider and overtake him easier
<
<
<

As to Chapter 1, how did you go with the backing it in then?
<
<
<

You wouldn't know what "........" was, as applies to "Chapter 1", it doesn't work with static couches

All i want to know is, between Lorenzo and Rossi, who sent who a message today .
<

Your trying to make out this pass was a lot harder than it actually was imo. Nicky left the door open and rossi took the invitation. There appeared to be a very slight contact on the exit. This is not un-common at all in motorcycle racing. If this were a 125 or moto2 race you would all be screaming how good it was and why can't motogp be like it. you are also being obtuse !

Meh.... the first time I commented on it - I said it was legal. Not the same as clean. Not being obtuse bro.

I enjoy aggressive racing. As to when a pass crosses the line - that's always a tough call for anyone

who isn't the passer or the passed. It's a gut reaction, no?

Tell you what Gaz, you make a great point ! When was the last time we heard a commentator said "now there coming up to the back markers" ? geez, the good ol days eh.
<

and my dad always told me i was a subtle as a house brick
<
<

Yes, but to be fair, at least twice as smart.
<

Soooo ........ are we done with that "pass of the century" now?
<
..................

new subject ........ ?
<

I wonder who is going to get "passed of the century" at Portugal!!
<

can't wait !!

<
<
<

Oh, time for more controversy.

Anyone else notice what appeared to be a very 'cold' podium ?

Gaz

Funny you say that

I think Lorenzo nudged Casey, or vice versa, on the elbow just before the Anthem and said same I'm sure
<
<
<

To be honest though, I think this is the product of "when a rider rides a bit too deserate forhis peers"
<
........... he ain't making friends thats for sure.

Rossi sent the message...he was the one racing against other riders for positions.......Lorenzo was riding by himself afraid to challenge Stoner for the win.
<

Rossi did gain postions from his grid spot.....Lorenzo stayed the same.

Lorenzo beat Rossi by over 8 seconds..........that's an entirely different zip code in racing! It's as if Rossi were on a Moto2 bike my friend. Lorenzo rode alone because he was unable to compete with Stoner and Rossi was so far behind........it's simple. To infer that Rossi did something extraordinary today by losing to his teammate by what amounted to almost 1/8th of a lap is........well, really stupid frankly.

I'm no Rossi hater, I admire him but face it....TODAY Lorenzo rode away from him and beat him by an almost embarrassing margin. Rossi has been on both ends of this. What are you hiding from? He's beaten plenty by similar margins but today he got his ... kicked by Lorenzo, badly!

Thats the spirit!! Rossi is a "battler" he likes battling.

<
<
<
<

Sorry ..... credit for the "battles" = zero

"Good race because of the Battles" is a pour excuse
<

I can identify with that, cos even I, at my age, can find someone I can "battle" with ................

its riding fast and at the front of the GP that counts, that even I cannot do
<
<
<

A battle may be semi worthwhile if its for position 1.

well I guess the rolleyes don't mean much in a post.

It would be hard to gain on Stoner or Lorenzo when he has to defend his spot or work his way through the crowd....Rossi's fault for bad qualifying and bad start, but good riding got him back up onto the podium.

Too bad Lorenzo did not make the podium at Aragon and Motegi (ironically prevented by Hayden and Rossi). He would have had the title one race sooner and then he could have raced hard for us last round and not had his ... beaten by his teammate for the second straight race as well .......wait, sorry he rode safe for third and a clinch, so it doesn't count as getting beaten since he said he was going to ride safe and clinch the title. Lucky for us he has his title....so now he will race hard for the fans......woooo hoooo!

I can't fault him for riding smart.....he did a great job all season. It just sucks for his fans knowing that he did not race hard every round (lucky for his fans he had good finishes on the races he rode safe..and did not settle for 9th)

Does that girl have a grandma!?
<

No wait! ....... thats only ever got me into trouble before

Let me just say that by what I can see, she's a fine looking girl. And if her Tshirt reflects her ideology in life, and if I was a millon years younger, I'd be in love
