A great race and an amazing performance by The Doctor.

His start wasnt that great and at first his progress was pretty slow, he must of known he had something in reserve as by about half way through the race he was suddenley up to P2. He was able to lap 0.5 - 1 second a lap faster than Stoner for most of the race once out of the midfield traffic and to be honest i think he could have passed Casey a lot earlier than he did but didnt want to make a mistake and lose a lot of time.

Also it is great to see Nicky Hayden back up the front of the field! Honda and michelin both seemed to have raised their game this weekend hopefully that makes for an exciting and competitive rest of season.

Bad luck to Vermeulen due to an optimistic move by De Puniet.

Does anyone know why Capirossi retired? i know he was running 15th but was this due to a problem or what coz he dropped to the back of the field very quickly.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Haha I purposely didnt post in here yet till this cscvaw did. I was waiting for this yes it was a fluke I guess all stoner wins are fluke too, seriously you are just a troll look at when you join the board just when stoner starts doing good

Come on now...

No need to reply to CS he prove my point,

Anyways now on to the race and what a cracker it was definately more exciting than the 125 and 250 races earlier which I was actually surprised normally there is alot more fight in the 125s the 800s were great fun as usual really felt bad for RDP he had that front row position and I thought I was looking at colin edwards at le mans at first! Nicky Hayden got the great start too!! With the gusty outside line into the first bend! speaking of the other repsol rider pedrosa was fairly quite didnt really do to much but still 4th place to bad for john hopkins I really hoping he could have fought for the podium but I guess he couldnt keep up the pace stoner road a great race and about 6 laps in I was thinking to myself 1st place has been decided already! Valentino did a great race but not at first I guess he had to find his pace first.

My take on the RDP and vermulen incident I think randy took a risky move yes to dive up the inside but also vermulen try to close the track on him at the same time I would say a racing incident but slightly more randys fault being to agressive

I thought stoner had it all wrapped up after the first lap! Rossi, smoked him tho

That was a degrading, insulting remark and it deserved the appropriate from me...but I do apologise to who ever took offence!!!

well another master class by rossi. very impressive. so fast.... to the very end! the tire war heats up! great job by stoner he did his pace & got the best result he could considering rossis blazing speed. anybody who thinks that it's all the bike, consider like yamaha with rossi, where would ducati be without the stone man? the kid just won't crack under the rossi pressure. he just keeps on impressing. finally.... honda came thru for nick! he looked like the old nicky slidin the bike around gettin somethin done! i think that honda still have some work to do to catch up to the duc & yam. but they seem to be gettin there.... little late tho
<
pedrosas 4th.... better than 5th. i thougt he'd be 3rd today... he must of burnt out a circuit.
<
hopper 5th. i thought he'd be 4th. maybe now that he's engaged to that little hottie of his & when he gets hitched, hell morph up to ... kicker on track like stoner after his walk down the isle. edwards back to usual
<
after last seasons race here & his podium at donny, i thought he'd have a bit more than he showed. such a shame... vermullen seriously needs to get faster in the dry. well the rest were way way back but it was a good fight for what was it? 7th? between west, hoffman, melandri & barros. who came out on top, if u want to call it that.
<
the rest well were the rest....... until sachsenring in 2 weeks!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (IsraeliRacer @ Jun 30 2007, 11:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>What happened to him? He better not crash during the race, I need the fantasy league points! And its still not raining

I'm going to be flicking between the MotoGP and Australia V New Zealand rugby.
WOW! Dan Linfoot crashed, went off his bike, his bike kept going straight for about two hundred metres, maybe more, went through a break in the tyre wall and past a group of marshalls who looked more than a little surprised
<

Yep, and Dan was uninjured.

your joking.............. right?

What a fantastic performance from Rossi and Stoner!

Rossi because he came from 11th to catch the leaser and win, Stoner because he's performing well under great pressure where others might of craked.

And people, c'mon, enough with the excuses. Its getting old now, He won because of this, he won because of that blady blah!

This, IMO is quite a good result for Stoner. Yes a win would of been better but the Ducati so far is performing well on tracks that dont compliment the bikes characteristics. If he keeps getting 2nd, 3rd on these so called bogey tracks and wins the gaurenteed win tracks, Brno, Motegi as well as a few surprises, he can definatly wrap up the championship.

Oh and good on ya hayden!

very good!

When will Hopper stop falling back after a few laps? As my 'favourite' rider it's disheartening to see him start well but not find that last 2% to stay with the leaders.
Nice to see Nicky doing well and enjoying himself on the podium.
