The fastest engineer ever

If candies had nuts, in ifs and butts, with liberty and justice for all.

Except none of us/we Boners, apart from perhaps JPS, think there is much prospect of Stoner returning to full time racing. As has been said, a wildcard at PI which is not wildly speculative might be fun, although I doubt Dorna would be keen if the championship was still in the balance.

Opening post is one of Jumkies best (perhaps because it agrees with what i think about CS)-nicely put together.

But who are you and what did you do with the one that used to hound Krop? Very dark days they were. And didn,t a whole group go off to do their own forum? And now everybody (mostly) is back. I feel as if I am in a timewarp. Anyway, I,ve got a lot of catching up to do and it is nice to see some of the wise posters still here-Arab, jrno, keshav, povol michael etc

Anyway- I agree with Jumks,. Casey did not get a fair run in my opinion, and if things were different, he would have won a stack of titles, but , more importantly, he would have been without the persecution complex and still be racing. It was incredibly revealing to see how relaxed and happy he was in the gp one video. He is the guy I thought he was, and not the one that the Rossi-boppers imagined. At least it is nice to see him in a happy place these days. Photos of him with Spies are just the same- he looks really really happy. Good luck to him.

You having a party

Nope. My life is muy triste until he's a confirmed wildcard. U guys should just remember to use protection ok?i know things get passionate but if need be just do a fast pit stop between the ferocious, rubber killing stints. Just like the other guy jp has such a obsession with.

Thanks Gaz

it,s all a bit strange. I have popped in briefly a few times last few years and it has been really quiet, but it seems to be like the good old days - quite active (and minus the crap), so even better. surprise , but pleasantly so, that Krops still posts occasionally. I don,t think he will let his guard down again though, but i can,t blame him. He is probably the most insightful motogp journalist around and a credit to his profession. I,ve had a few personal challenges (gfc associated), and am, hopefully, coming out the other side.

I miss Stoner on track tho: that,s why Jumkies post hit a chord.

Good to hear things are on the up Bunny and as for Stoner, I look at the test results and the forum chatter and it is interesting that rather than the negative, near all forum posts are positive about him and what he has done with the test.

It really does show something that I have thought for a while, which is that no matter what people want to say, he remains in the forefront of the minds of so many genuine followers of the sport.

Thanks Gaz

Good to hear from you, and same for me with missing watching Stoner ride.

I have actually probably become something of a latter day Rossi "hater", having not at least in my own opinion been so before, since I now see him after recent events as being complicit in Stoner's persecution, having previously blamed the crazy element among Rossi fandom alone.

Welcome back Homie!

Thanks Michael, Keshav.

Michael, I agree totally with you re Rossi. I think behind the cheery happy clown lurks the most ruthless competitor of all. Marquez is perhaps on that path, and I suspect all the riders have to have a little bit of that ruthlessness to compete at this level, but Rossi has gone way too far. Unfortunately Stoner has constantly been on the receiving end of the Rossi/Dorna show, with being undermined for his 2007 title( fastest bike you know!), the Bridgestones for Rossi saga, the last minute added weight to the Honda in 2012? Added to that was being given 3rd rate Michelins in 2006 after challenging the factory Hondas too much for Pedrosa,s (?) liking. Unlike Rossi/ Pedrosa and Marquez, who all had dream runs into the factory teams, Stoner was always fighting through adversity. He finally got jack of it and left. I, for one, fully understand his leaving. Perhaps, now that he is almost universally adored he may make a triumphant return? Probably not, but surely he must be tempted. And the the shy yet outspoken Stoner was always painted as a prickly and whining personality. I think, considering his treatment, he was pretty mild in his responses. And of course the extroverted Rossi was always going to be presented as the "good guy" in contrast to the reclusive Stoner. I think everyone noticed how Rossi treated anybody who was a serious challenger- Biaggi, Gibernau, Stoner, Lorenzo and Marquez have all been, in turn, on the receiving end of the "Rossi treatment". And of course we now had the crazy conspiracy theory that everybody was out to help Lorenzo win the title. The guy has seriously lost it. I remember back in 2012 when the podium was Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa how happy and relaxed they all looked. The tension created by the toxic yellow clown was markedly absent.
Rossi, unfortunately for him, finally revealed the true nature of his (lack of) character when he shunted Marquez off track. It was certainly the most extraordinary thing I had ever witnessed in motogp ( altho I am aware of Capirossi's foul 250 deed), and I thought worthy of a lengthy ban. His penalty points given were a farce, and then he had the audacity to challenge that outside the sport. Simply astonishing. I said many years ago that Rossi's legacy was tainted. Now it is completely befouled. Stoner now , in contrast, comes across as the wise, reasonable one. How times have changed.

I'am new member here. and I'm looking for official CS fanbase, but ended up here. I'm so desperate to find one.

Sorry if my post was misplaced, because I don't think it needs a new post thread.

Don't worry my friend.

You have found the Official CS fanbase.

You're among friends...or me specifically.

What other guy?

Anyone think there is a chance of him wild carding at Qatar? He said in an interview if he does it'll most probably be a fly away round. Ducati went really well there last year being so close to a win and lastly they're sending him there to test.

Who cares boppers. Retitle this thread "The Stoner fantasy fiction Bopper circlejerk" Hes retired and evidently plans on staying that way. Your could of, would of and maybe, scenarios are irrelevant. Since your talking about fairytales, you might as well mix that religious debate back in as well.
Heres a prediction. Stoner will not beat Rossi this year, next year or any year after

That's a bit exaggerated. If the scenarios are irrelevant, so is everything else that has ever been said about anything on this forum. If we eliminate speculation from the conversation and install a rubrik of "relevancy" based on things only being able to be 100% factually confirmed in reality, we may as well just start throwing stats at each other and eliminate opinions completely.

...That is, unless you were trying to steer us into a philosophical debate with the thesis that "Nothing matters. It's all a fairytale," I may be inclined to agree.
