Less than an hour before this was announced, the announcement was that the official results of today's race wouldn't be published before Motegi.
That would've been the ultimate embarrassment. Did they confuse MotoGP and American Presidential elections or what?
Ridiculous, IMO. It’s not many investigations that should be allowed to continue in this way. I don’t think a quibble over tyre pressures should be one of them. If there’s doubt without a conclusion possible in reasonable time, give the benefit of doubt to the team/rider.

Anyway, I’m happy for Jorge as I’m cheering for him to win the title, with one eye…. 🫣…. so many crashes when you least expect. But then this keeps us on the edge of our seats to the end. An amazing race by Acosta. He has so much presence both on and off the track…. a special one that.

Tough break for Enea … uncharacteristic of him. They all seem to be suffering these crashes that they can’t quite explain when it happens.

I did not see a realistic title hope for Marc. That's for next season.
I thought the same. As Marc himself has said, his targets for this season are all ticked off, and it's all systems go next year. I do think he has a good chance of winning another race this season.

I don't know how these guys handle the heat of racing in Indonesia. I feel hot just looking at the circuit.

I had to give up riding motorcycles due to body temperature dysregulation problems, so I'm somewhat envious of watching these guys out there in the burning sun with no such issues lol.
I hear you. This summer was so friggin' hot and humid I barely rode until the 2nd week in August.

Man, only Frantisek could have such a bad race and still get 20 points out of it.

Jörg was super impressive but let's not forget this weekend was a net loss for him. As strong as Jörg was this weekend, advantage Bagnaia because nerves imo.
Nothing to do with nerves. It's a .... track with crappy grip. He hit a dirty patch in the sprint. .... happens.

No penalty, Pedro stays 2nd!

Couldn't be happier for him
Jeez! What a relief! That would have been a freakin' travesty.

BTW - since he was uninjured, I won't be lambasted for saying, when Bastinni went down, I laughed my ass off. He was so absurdly overconfident. When they said what his last lap time was, I knew he was going down. Martin was brilliant.

Was thinking about whether the title fight goes to Valencia. What if it goes to the Valencia Sprint? I'd rather see JM win because it's more interesting, but also want the championship to go to the rider that wins on Sundays. Right now that would be Pecco. Conflicted.

BTW: KTM didn't win any races last year, and it's starting to look like they won't win any this year. It's not good. If Acosta keeps on having races like this I suppose he'll eventually inherit a win, but I'd like to seem him really go out and win one.

I think with Ajo running the show they will get back to winning.
3/4 of their 2025 riders are capable of winning any given race and the 4th has the winter testing championship in the bag.

Just a question of the class and financial aspects of how I grew up, and what I was taught as a kid, but I've always rooted for the underdog. Not that Gresini is all that "under". It's largely about perception. As someone already said, I'm very appreciative of the fact that Ducati Corse doesn't seem to have hobbled Gresini in any way. Back in the late '70s early '80s I always paid extra attention to the serious privateer teams. There was something kind of heroic about them.

Gresini is seen perhaps a bit unfairly in recent times due to their Aprilia stint, but they’ve always been a top team in all classes. They were one of the top privateer Honda teams in the early 2000s.

I gave up the idea of Marc having a shot at the championship after Mugello. Even without today's DNFs winning the championship would have been a long shot for Marc and also for Enea.

It's difficult to enjoy the races because I want Jörg to win this championship so bad. I'm absolutely anxious during every lap of every race. This might be his only shot at a championship.
