The whole exchange had the air of someone understandably upset lacking class.
Welldone to Hayden, Congratulations. nice interview with bbc.
Finally he beat the 4th. Today he sat on the 4th for the most and it looked he wasn't meant to score the podium. every time a front ronner crashed, someone overtook him, but he was good to keep his bike right untill the end.
After all it was'nt a bad race, a lot happened.
Simonchelli did very well, it was a pitty to see him make those mistakes. he will learn from it hopefully.
Stoner lost a podium at least. this put him behind Lorenzo and Pedrosa in the championship. What will they say in their interviews?
Lorenzo, the luckiest, but at the same time the best. When Pedrosa came behind him, i thought he cant do anything about it, but he rode even faster and a few laps later he was +4 ahead.
Pedrosa did the most he could and with his form i think he'll be very happy with the results, especially now that he is the leading Honda.
Ben missed a podium and a great result, but in a wet track they make mitakes a lot easier.
What happened with Edwards, he overtook Hayden for a few seconds, and then crashed?these two cant finish next to eachother.
Now again waiting for the next gp, and this time for a month.
Stoner does himself no favours again. He’s already one of the most disliked riders out there, so making childish, sarcastic comments to one of the most popular riders out there is only going to make him even more un-popular.
rossi = dangerous. ... thats racing
Quite possibly he was displaying the race craft you guys contend he lacks, knew simoncelli (and rossi) were going too fast as proved to be the case and was intending to make a move later in the race when his fuel load lightened as at qatar.
That maybe so but the fact was his lap times were concideribly slower than rossis there for not only inviting rossi to pass but others also. Had stone used his "race craft" and kept up he wouldnt have made riders behind so eager to pass and not let simonchelli and lornzo get away. Stoner would have held him up and that invited the pass, let alond the gap he presented whould have fittd a bus through.
Please list examples of rossi demonstrating class when taken out by a reckless move.
If the front end hadn't tucked like that he would have made it, you can't tell me he would run into a corner at that speed knowing he wouldn't make it.
Contrary to what you may believe, Stoner's popularity was going up with just about anyone who isn't a Rossi fan.
Simoncelli crashed. Perhaps stoner should have chased dani at sachsenring in 2008.
That was one crazy race...
Was truly impressed by simo yet again. Shame his inexperience let him down once again.
Lorenzo i had down as the winner from the start and about 1 minute before the rossi/stoner crash i kept thinking he was playing exactly the right tactic.
Rossi i was annoyed with today. He did amazingly well coming through the pack that fast, but there lay the problem.....for someone who is so vastly experienced he should have calmed it right down once he got to around 4th place. I always thought that rossi was at his best as a "chaser" and really didnt see the need for the urgency he was showing in getting past everyone from 5th onward.....with 20 odd laps left he just didnt need to rush it.
Stoner was unfortunate today, however his reaction after having a whole race to calm down and consider the situation was one that doesnt help his moaner image...he had the right to be pissed off, but at least show some class.
hayden podium at the endand rossi 5th
I was joking with a mate, saying that if they miraculously sort the duc out in a couple of races...that "takedown" could be the smartest move in rossi's career
Joking aside it sucked but i would have way more sympathy for casey had he just accepted the gesture, and showed a little more class. He sounded like one of you haters.
I'm sorry to sound offensive maybe, but with all this speculation about the Rossi/toner incident it seems to be in a soccer forum. You want this sport to return to the golden age of man-lish motorcycle racing? First stop discussing about any fart you hear/smell. I just wonder what a hell of a race it would have been if Rossi and Stoner didn't crash.
Bon - If he'd had used good judgment he wouldn't have tried that move on his first ride on the Duc - in the rain.
It was stupid and reckless. Especially that early in the race. The move was as reckless and unprofessional as his lame
attempt to grab the holeshot at Qatar from way the hell back on the grid. Irresponsible show-boating is what it was.
Stop being pedantic, without watching again i cant remnember weather simonc crashed before or after but its a mute point cos lorenzo was still getting away was he not??
