I don't think he knows how to have fun. Walks around in a state of paranoia and anger when the world isn't revolving around him. Others call another certain rider a prima Donna but he seems to be the biggest of them all. Definitely won't miss him.

Everyone knows that the ducati and not stoner won the 2007 championship, and that stoner faked an illness in 2009 because he couldn't handle the pressure of racing against God. How unreasonable for him to disagree, and how arrogant for him to believe that he is better informed about these matters than valentino rossi's fans.

but why is that?

i like to think rea could land podiums and maybe even wins in gps but somehow british talent seems to be stuck in wsbk if theres not a free seat at tech3.

agreed about the rest, the idm for example is not even good enough to make the jump to wsbk ,all good german riders were in rookies cup or spanish championship

Rea? WTF is it with this constant fascination with that clown? He can HARDLY podium in SBK! Most of the time his .... racecraft is to blame. I'm certain that there are better candidates than he. Sure he's fast when he's not crashing but so what! Not crashing is a big part of what it takes to be successful and he just can't seem to do it with any consistency.

Stoner was on first fast lap out of pits and a fastest lap but came into pits to make changes comes back out and goes quicker by over half a second quicker than his own fastest lap.

Agree with most of this except he isnt that fast.

Probably pitted as he didn't have the TC turned up high enough...

Watching FP1 right now. Yes, Stoner will be missed. Sliding around turn three like a crazy .......

So I'm an ..... for having a different opinion to you.Clearly intelligent.

My view on the matters above doesn't mean I don't think he can ride as he is showing at the moment. I didn't think his times would be that good but clearly this track doesn't put the same pressure on his injury.

Bye!

I'm surprised that you believe this Michael?

Stoner had to ride the Ducati. Lactose intolerance makes me queasy all the time. As for racing against God, I wouldn't even bother turning up if that was the case.

Desperation looks ugly on u Goaty.

Twitter is a type of facebook, VR use to call press conferences to remind us about his shoulder for half a year. Then he figured a much better tactic to deflect attention. It came in the form of hiring his dad to pretend he was VR, then pretend he was a fake reporter, and proceed in asking fake questions, to which his dad (pretending to be VR) would answer them pretending to be asked pretend questions from the pretend reporter. The irony being it reminded me of reality TV pretending to be real.
Where as mental illness suits you to a tee.

Had a big day yesterday but I did wake up just!

Crutchlow hitting a puddle & nearly taking out Pedrosa was a shocker in FP1! (It's about all I saw of it.)

It is clear that Casey Stoner should not retire.

You clearly find stoner not likeable and valentino quite likeable particularly in comparison, and many would share this opinion to which you are entitled. There are perhaps those who would see some irony in accusing stoner of petulance when not in the limelight in a sentence in which you also mention valentino rossi.

The question is whether the attitude you so abhor is due to nature or nurture. I would contend that with all the nonsense, mostly subsequently proven incorrect by him, spouted about him over the years (not so much by you personally) chips on shoulders are understandable, and if this annoys the detractors who were causal so be it.

Until this sentence I don't think I've mentioned Valentino Rossi in this thread at all but correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not making any assertions about Rossi relative to Stoner and that wasn't where I was coming from. You and Geo made that link. Both Lorenzo and Pedrosa have beaten old Rossi more than once in a championship but I actually quite like both of them - so clearly it can't be the Rossi aspect that leads me to my views on Stoner.

Just because people have different views doesn't mean they are idiots. For a while everyone thought the earth was flat.

Anyway, on Stoner's riding. He's doing bloody well.
