AUSTRALIAN GP: Phillip Island 2010

You don't get it. But you are so obviously biased, it's not surprising...

What is missing between Lorenzo and Rossi is that playful spirit that was there between Rossi and Barros: they both agreed to bet on a pizza as prize for their mundialito in 2002. The spirit is what matters, they both played along. Can we imagine Lorenzo accepting a pizza challenge with Valentino in the same way? No. See how tense he was at the simple mention of it...
<

No, because he knows where its going and thinks its silly, just like the ones on here who know where its going and thinks its silly. 2002 is a long time ago, Rossi was not yet a god,the and the cult had not yet fully formed.

Cheers. maybe im guilty of not paying too much attention as i just wish we could all be like the chilean miners and stand together, hold hands and have a sing-song

Theres nothing small about lorenzos championship just as there's nothing small about all the championships before him. Sure some were less spectacular from a viewers point of view than others but that's just our point of view from an entertainment point not an achievment point.

+1

he should have never turned up

I think he is both a tough ....... and sensible. He did this at laguna seca 2008 as well. Once he tried and realised he wasn't anywhere near the pace in practice he didn't race. There is abolutely no point him finishing 14th just to prove a point and risking further injury to himself and possibly others. I give him great credit both for trying and for admitting it was pointless when it evidently was.

i agree but the title race is over and he's 47+ points in front of his rivals he could have recovered then come back and secured his 2nd place in the championship Aus Gp is/Was a bit pointless for him

Still 12 hours before the 125 starts.

Rossi has another disaster start in front of him. he hasn't found his favorite setup even, If he doesn't find his pace in warmup then at most he can takes a podium, otherwise a top 5 or he'll fall even further back.

Ahhh, god you say -- religious wars then... I see.

I always tend to forget about your crusades. My bad

Surely its not even worth bothering with folk who entertain the thought. Fact is that in trying to catch up with Lorenzo this year Rossi fell and injured himself, ie. he was not up to Lorenzo's pace. Same could be said of Pedrosa and Stoner ........ only their fans aren't as "creative" with reality
<
<

Sorry, wrong again... Rossi crashed when slowing down during a practice lap, on a cold tire -- not "trying to keep up with Lorenzo's pace" but rather trying to get rid of Barbera who was following him.

Talk about bending reality -- you are a pro in that respect.

Back it in BM, back it in...

J4rno, stop trying to troll everybody. Ok, you can have your mundialito, you can win it infact. (Don't even reply to me dude, like Curve says, just let it go). end of

I think it has something to do with this:

Is that a pic of J4rno and his pals.

We teach our children to suck it up and take their lumps when they lose.

...

It's a simple concept. At the end of an event look at the scoreboard and it will tell you all you need to know.

A few from yesterday. Bloody freezing.

One for everybody! Holy crap dude, I didn't think I'd ever see a member give GatorDuc a run for his money. Those pics are freaks. Thanks man.

Looks like Dovi has lost the #1 rider settings this weekend and has been given the #7 on the pecking order Honda settings to give Dani a chance of beating him.

....

Perhaps we will see Spies get his first podium at a real race track.

Don't worry about Dovi. Now that Pedros out, I'm sure they will give him back that mapping.
<

About Spies, wow, I'm impressed. Dude takes FP1 off and still quals on the front row. My initial reaction when I read why he took FP1 off was, get out there you ...... But that's what I know about this ..... Good for him.

Spies sure as hell are impressive but NOT because he skipped FP1.
