You haven't been paying attention? It literally means "small world" in Spanish. But in this case its used as a term to denote a diminutive championship between Lorenzo and Rossi. No not the real championship, some other one for the remainder of the races that Rossi returned to action. Its a concept proposed by Rossi's fan club. You can ask J4rno or Talpa, as they know more about this "private championship". The mystery of course was when it was suppose to start. Some said after Rossi returned, then it was Misano, then it got delayed to Aragon, etc. I think the man was proposing it start at Motegi...

Cheers. maybe im guilty of not paying too much attention as i just wish we could all be like the chilean miners and stand together, hold hands and have a sing-song
<

Theres nothing small about lorenzos championship just as there's nothing small about all the championships before him. Sure some were less spectacular from a viewers point of view than others but that's just our point of view from an entertainment point not an achievment point.

funny Lorenzo shrugged of the "mini championship" question and idea from that reporter.....yet didn't Lorenzo lay down the challenge of once the title is clinched he will race hard for the last three races......basically saying "Let's get It On!!" aimed at Rossi but open to anyone.

Edit: I retracted my statement in the spirit of the Chilean Miners.

Yes, compa. Sorry, I'm guilty of being obtuse. Sorry Talps. I forgot to add to my post, you should read it in a tone as if I was sitting next to you in a bar after a few beers. You know, like when you all have that insane friend that everybody clown on but still invites over for drinks. That's you & etal.
<

Now let me get my Chilean flag (made in China).
<

Ok, no more fighting from now on. BM, here is your opportunity to sing Kum Ba Ya with Chops.

Did Marco just blow the engine?Commentators didn't seem to notice the white smoke/dust behind his bike as it went down. Could have been water but I think it was a bit to much.

wonder if they have chalked the white lines.

Stoner's putting it down!! (the law that is)

If his front end doesn't let him down he'll simply walk away with this one. The pack can battle for 2nd but if he keeps his pace I just don't think anyone is going to challenge.

Could the bike have possibly hit a small terrestrial accumulation of naturally occuring ( by means of rainfall ) H[sub]2[/sub]O and on contact with the heated engine parts caused sudden reaching of the temperature, of the said H[sub]2[/sub]O, to the point of the latent heat of boiling. At which point vapourisation would occur, and the climatic conditions being as they are, would cause a propensity of said heated H[sub]2[/sub]O to even more likely to vapourise as well as become very obvious in having done so, once the rapid condensation in air at that temperature and dew point was experienced.?

Probably wouldnt put to much into these times. Wet and dry track, doubt many are pushing the limit

1 31.4 is a dry track time.

I,m sure the others will close the gap,but right now Stoner looks good...........

Does anyone know why Nicky uses such beefy pucks in wet conditions? My only guess is perhaps the extra material can simulate the same feel of maximum dry lean considering full wet lean is ~5 degrees less? I really have no idea though.

6/10ths off FP2 from last year. The track was officially listed as wet/dry

When I read your post, the track was completely dry (I was watching it live on tv). It is irrelevant as to what the track was officially classed as.It certainly was no impediment to the guys going for it.

I didn,t mean to be pedantic. Peace

. I don't see what the big deal some of you guys have against the mundialito. Nobody takes it serious, its jsut supposed to be some fun little side competition.

Because we're American. Here you either win or you lose. We don't play what if? loser games. We teach our children to suck it up and take their lumps when they lose. It's why we're the ....... best at everything. We hate to lose and don't accept any other outcome.

It's called scoreboard buddy.

It's a simple concept. At the end of an event look at the scoreboard and it will tell you all you need to know.

So you have never played a game with some friends and settle on, say, best of three, and the loser at the end says hey how bout lets go to five, then he loses again and says how bout we go to seven?

The guy who won the original set is still the winner, there are no illusions about that, but its something to make the remaining time a bit more entertaining.
