AUSTRALIAN GP: Phillip Island 2010

Weather isn't looking good at all at this stage. Gale warnings, rain, hail .....

Damn, any fire, brimstone, and pestilence to go with that
<

The latest is 20 % chance of showers at race time, maybe a wet /dry race.

If it is wet, its going to be miserable. The high is only 55 degrees.

Just want to see #46 spank #99 again. And again, and again...

Will be root'n for Hayden & the Texans, as usual...

Of all the places I wouldn't mind seeing a wet race, PI is not one of them. That's the track that you want to see everybody ride under perfect conditions. Doesn't look like we will get to see the powersliding and backing-it-in we've seen in past events.

(Hey BM, maybe you can selflessly fight race traffic and go out to PI so you can give the GP riders a lesson on backing-it-in under wet conditions, eh).

The only time BM backs it in under wet conitions is when Barry forgets to put on his depends.

Driving into work today I was listening to the radio here in Sydney. Apparently Casey Stoner is favourite to make it four wins in a row at Phillip Island this weekend. Mmm.

Just like Qatar, its hard to bet against him at PI. Not much of a stretch to think he would be favored.

Well we have the start of the weather here already. I made the mistake of taking the bike out yesterday and on my dirt drive I was backing it in ( and out ) all the way, damn road tyres and cut clay with rain puddles
<
. Only I was getting a fair idea of Casey's front end woes as well.
<

As for teaching you guys how to back it in ........ if you haven't "been out there and done that", since our "discussion" ....... then there's no hope for you. As with most things riding, it would need a fair bit of "input" and practice ( not video or mag.s
<
<
) so if you haven't been on a bike trying it in say over a year, then what chance for me to teach you in say a week. You all would probably still be sitting on the couch waiting for it to happen
<
<
<

PS if it is raining I bet we do see a bit of backing in ..... too much even
<

just a few hours to go before the first practice, but still ages to go untill the race.

By the nature of this track, i hope we are invited for another great battle this weekend. Now that all is over, they can go at their max. Horhay will come for more wins and he is at his best, while Casey is the ultimum candidate for this one, and we can never forget about the doctor, beside these 3 riders Dovi and Spies can play a big role.

I only hope it stays dry and the 3 most favorites qualify in front and run together. This can become the race of this season.
