Not getting second may not seem like a big deal, but I think that was a big loss for VR.
I think he waited too long to start making his move and wasn't expecting Dani to fight back like that.

Shenanigans! Marc went down and went to the pits with his visor down and then Dani fought like we have never seen before. Most likely they did the old midget switch.

Dani is a really small guy. I've seen him in person a couple of times. I can't imagine how hard he's working to push that hard for that may laps and still have something left to fight. On the other side of that battle Rossi, no matter how FRI and SAT go on Sunday he's going to be there. Dry or wet, Rossi shows up on Sunday and it's impressive.

Rossi wanted/needed those 5 points. He got beat, nothing to be happy about but I thought he was gracious after the race. Dani raced him hard but cleanly. Lorenzo blew him out in the dry again. If Marc can stay on two wheels and we have more dry rounds Rossi will have a hard time staying in the lead. Every point counts. Great time to be a fan.
