Strange session, some obviously taking it safe. Projected lap times  { 1.34.300} are not going to be close to reality. Over 10 seconds off. Thats some Hondaesque   misinformation.

Back to normal in FP2, this kid is just wiping the floor with everyone so far this year... Hope JL got a little boost being fastest in fp1, he is gonna need it!

Is Lorenzo suffering from a brain injury or something. Saw this video and the translation and it is very strange behavior. He is getting very agitated over the smallest things, then goes out and totally blows the start.

Can someone verify the translation. He is beside himself over a tab on his helmet and wants to know where it came from. Someone in his crew says it has been on every helmet for years. Supposedly it was a video that has been taken down off  of Moto GP sight.

I saw this and didn't think to check-in with you guys. I am convinced that we have a Rossi-Biaggi part 2 going on. Marquez has definitely gotten into Jorge's head. Even years after Biaggi left motogp, Rossi's mere presence on the side of track caused Biaggi to lose focus while riding.

I don't think that Jorge will crash in this race. He will bring home points. If Yamaha/Bridgestone doesn't change things around soon, I am sure Jorge will jump ship at the end of the year.

Marquez on pole, Jorge in 2nd but almost a second back on time. I'm expecting some serious first-lap fireworks tomorrow.

Some interesting career stats on the motogp website under results & stats on the rhs marked as "entry biographical".

Been a while since people bandied this kind of thing around, but I did a tiny bit of number crunching, all numbers across all 3 classes 'cos that's what the stats are given as :

Marques : Starts 98   Wins 34   Podiums  57,   34/98   = 34.7%     57/98  = 58.2%

Pedrosa  : Starts 213 Wins 48   Podiums 127, 48/213  = 22.5%  127/213 = 59.6%

Lorenzo  : Starts 198 Wins 52   Podiums 112,  52/198  = 26.3%  112/198 = 56.6%

Rossi      : Starts 296 Wins 106 Podiums 184, 106/296 = 35.8%  184/296 = 61.7%

Marquez takes a predictable pole position. Anybody have any thoughts on what makes him so much better then the other riders?

Anyone catch Jorge whinning about the engine development freeze? Come on Jorge, the engine development freeze has been going on for how long?

http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/203689/1/lorenzo-id-like-a-more-competitive-bike.html

My god, and they said Stoner was a whiner. Jorge has not stopped whining since off season testing started. He whined  about the new tires, he whined about the old tires used at COTA, He whined about a tab on his helmet, a tag on his gloves, now its his engine. STFU and race dude. Riders have a hard time admitting when they are getting outrode, so they look for phantom reasons that are hindering their progress. The anti Honda fans are the same way, they just cannot admit that Marques is the difference, and without him on the grid every session and every race would be a crap shoot between Lorenzo, Rossi and Pedrosa. Then you have the anti Honda conspiracy nutjobs who will tell you   Marquez rides a cheater bike, has his whole career. If Marquez had come into the series and done what he has done on a Yamaha, there wouldnt be a peep from them.

Duc, don't you think it's a bit far-fetched to say Rossi's presence at the track caused Biaggi to crash? Biaggi is perfectly capable of doing that on his own, I think.

Pov, funny how our friend has not been back after Ben said Marky is a level above every one else, even Wilco said it today, but it must just be his cheater bike.

Fitting that Marquez is breaking Giacomo Agostini's records.  Doing it about in the same parity conditions.

Ah Deal, sure sign I've got under your skin.  Not something to write home about, but its my form of entertainment.  Nice of you to come on here just to mention lil o' me.  Haha, try making an intellectual post every now and then buddy, or are you gonna threaten to leave yet again?  Dance for me little monkey.

Well...I see a few still think this is a foot race.
